Chapter 1: The Awakening

Earth, January 2026

Rai woke up with the strange feeling that something was wrong—not in the world, but inside himself.

His room was quiet. Too quiet. Pale morning light slipped through the curtains, dust floating lazily in the air. Rai sat up in bed, pressing a hand to his chest as a dull pressure pulsed behind his thoughts, like a door half-open in his mind.

What… is this?

He hadn't touched anything. Hadn't seen anything. Yet something answered him.

The moment his thoughts brushed against that presence, information flooded his consciousness as if it had always been there, waiting.

Not words. Not images.Understanding.

It was a space-based treasure—ancient, intelligent, and now irrevocably bound to his mind. A relic that existed beyond planets and stars, beyond normal reality itself. Whether it had chosen him, or he had unknowingly reached for it, Rai did not know.

The artifact granted one impossible ability.

Dimensional travel.

Rai's breath caught.

He could cross into other dimensions, other worlds—realities that existed as stories, myths, and movies in his own world. But the power was not without limits.

After traveling once, the treasure required one full year of cooldown before it could be used again.

"One year…" Rai whispered.

His legs trembled as he stood up. This wasn't a dream. The clarity in his mind was too sharp, too complete. The artifact's presence felt calm, distant—like a silent observer resting at the edge of his consciousness.

His gaze drifted toward his laptop on the desk.

Last night, before falling asleep, he had watched Dragon Ball.

Goku. Ki. Martial arts that shattered mountains. Beings who trained beyond mortal limits. At the time, it had been nothing more than entertainment—but now, the memories returned with frightening clarity.

A thought formed.

What if…

The artifact answered instantly.

That world was real.

Rai's heart slammed against his ribs. Out of countless universes, the first destination took shape—not randomly, but by his own will.

"If I can only travel once a year," he muttered, clenching his fist, "then I won't waste it."

Decision made.

The first world he would step into—

—was the world of Dragon Ball.

And whatever awaited him there—Saiyans, gods, or destruction itself—Rai knew one thing for certain.

His life had already crossed the point of no return.
