Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

A Dream Turned Real, With a Fated Finish

Every night for three months, she saw him in her dreams—platinum blonde hair styled in messy spikes that fell over one eye, dark smudged eyeliner framing warm chocolate-colored eyes, and lips curved into a smile bright enough to light up even her deepest slumber.

One day while walking, I bumped into a guy—and my heart stopped when I saw he looked exactly like the one in my dreams. The world seemed to slow down the moment our eyes met. She hadn't even asked yet if the guy knew who she was.

"I'm sorry—I wasn't watching where I was going," he said, his voice soft as he steadied her by the shoulders. His silver rings glinted in the afternoon sun, just like in her dreams. But what made her breath catch was the way he was looking at her—not like a stranger he'd just bumped into, but like he'd been searching for her his whole life.

"Do I… know you?" she managed to ask, her voice barely a whisper.

A small smile touched his lips, and that familiar dimple showed on his cheek. "I don't think we've met in person before," he said, "but I feel like I've known you forever. I'm Liam." He paused, his gaze never leaving hers. "I've been having these dreams… about a girl who looks just like you. We walk through streets with neon lights, and you always laugh at the silly things I say."

As they talked that day—first by the sidewalk, then at a nearby café—they realized their dreams were mirror images of each other. Every detail matched perfectly, from the way he'd tuck her hair behind her ear to the songs they'd hum together in their sleep. With every word exchanged, a warmth grew between them that neither could explain—like two pieces of a puzzle finally clicking into place.

Liam found himself drawn to her kindness, to the way her eyes lit up when she talked about her favorite music, to how she'd unconsciously trace patterns on the table when she was thinking. For the first time in his life, he felt like he'd found someone who truly understood him. And as days turned into weeks, his feelings deepened beyond anything he'd ever imagined—he was falling for her, hard and fast.

"I know this sounds crazy," he told her one evening, taking her hand as they sat by the river, "but being with you feels more real than anything I've ever known. Like I was just waiting to find you."
