Chapter 34: God's Mouse-Drawn Masterpiece
After receiving notification from the Omniscience authority, Mo Yu switched back to the perspective of the Bleach World Bubble to investigate.
He discovered that the change was coming swiftly, and it was intuitive and easy to recognize because it was directly targeting the people.
First was Ichigo Kurosaki, who was on the streets of Karakura Town accompanying Chad while he pummeled martial artists. Ichigo stood with his hands in his pockets, but his aura and expression had undergone a subtle shift, giving off a cold and manic feeling. Even his dialogue had changed:
"Nonsense! Chad, didn't you eat today? Put more weight into it! Don't treat that fighter as a human—treat him as a sandbag! Use Purity to condense all your killing intent and fighting spirit together, then punch through him with everything you've got! Let him feel your world-shaking power, dammit!!!"
Normally, while Ichigo had become much tougher than before, he wasn't exactly "manic"; he was still quite gentle. But now, even when not in combat, his speech and behavior gradually carried the flavor of a "Reishi Madman."
This wasn't a bad thing. Ichigo's Purity had increased significantly. According to Mo Yu's evaluation, during the final battle with Fisher, Ichigo's Absolute Realm power was likely at 50%. Now, it had suddenly surged past 60%. This power jump was remarkably abrupt.
Chad was also affected. Although he was being taught by the town's strongest "Reishi Madman," the habitually silent Chad hadn't quite adapted to a fighting style that involved getting so excited his hair stood on end while shouting trash-talk. Consequently, his exploration of the path of Purity hadn't been smooth. His opponent, sensing this, patted his own stomach and laughed derisively:
"Come on! Do as Lord Kurosaki says and treat me like a sandbag! But with Purity as lowly as yours, can you even do it? Come on, aim right here!"
Chad hadn't planned on talking back, but suddenly, a surge of uncontrollable, fanatical excitement erupted in his heart. He instinctively roared at his opponent:
"Guwa! You loser! How dare you despise me so?! I want you to be so terrified that every time you think of my Giant's Arm divine strength for the rest of your life, you'll wet yourself, dammit!"
His right arm, wrapped in materialized black-and-red Reishi, erupted with an unprecedented, world-shaking force. It carried all of Chad's fighting spirit, killing intent, and hatred, slamming entirely into the enemy.
On this day, amidst the spray of the enemy's blood, Chad understood the meaning of Purity!
Mo Yu checked on Orihime and Rukia, finding they had also undergone changes. Even Urahara, Shinji Hirako, and the other Visoreds were affected.
The changes were obvious: everyone's Purity had risen. Now, when Shinji and the Visoreds trained in the basement, they would roar: "Explode, my Purity! I shall strike with a heavy fist and ruthlessly beat the Hollow inside me!"
Mo Yu realized what was happening: the 3D audience was watching his videos. Their impressions and imaginations were extending into the Silver Sea, forming a type of interference against the Bleach World Bubble.
The specific manifestation of this influence was a shift in "Art Style."
To put it simply, under the stereotypical impressions of the 3D audience, this World Bubble was shifting from the "Original Manga Version" toward the "Bleach: Supreme Fist" version. As the art style shifted, the world's overall Purity rose accordingly.
The magnitude wasn't high yet, but as the view count for the first episode of The Strongest Security Guard grew, the speed of this style-shift would likely accelerate.
Then, Mo Yu curiously switched his view to Uryu Ishida, and he fell into a brief silence.
The still-unconscious Uryu had skin that was becoming increasingly smooth, and his aura was becoming increasingly... "submissive."
Mo Yu marveled. As the style shifted toward the Supreme Fist version, even Orihime had become much more "masculine" due to the rising Purity. Why was Uryu becoming more and more "feminine"?
What exactly is going on here? It's truly baffling!
Based on the religious principle that "God is never wrong," Mo Yu certainly couldn't find the fault in himself. He pondered for a moment and decided this must be the Principle of World Conservation: when everyone else becomes more "masculine" due to Purity, one person must bear all the "femininity" of the world to maintain balance.
Regardless, knowing that the audience's impressions of his 3D videos could affect the World Bubble was a significant discovery for Mo Yu.
This made him wonder: if he filmed a bunch of nonsensical gag anime and shifted the world style in that direction, could he create an invincible entity on the level of Tom and Jerry?
If he could truly do that, when he met other Gods in the Silver Sea and they sent out traditional enforcers like Archangel Michael, Mo Yu could wave his hand and say grandly: "I have Archangel Tom Cat and Heaven's Vice-Regent Jerry Mouse, capable of slaying Michael and Lucifer." The visual would surely be spectacular.
But that was a story for another time. Mo Yu didn't yet know the full extent of this "Art Style Shift" power; he needed more verification before drawing a conclusion.
At this time, within the World Bubble, Aizen, Byakuya, and the others had finished their work. They brought the wanted criminal, Uryu Ishida, back to the Soul Society through the Senkaimon.
The moment the perspective shifted, there were no notable anomalies. After passing through the gate, the heart of the Soul Society—the scenery of the Seireitei—entered Mo Yu's vision.
The Seireitei in the World Bubble was even more magnificent than the fleeting shots in the original anime. Japanese-style ancient architecture was blended with modern aesthetic beauty—a perfect fusion of old and new. The area was vast, and Soul Reapers in black robes bustled about, creating a scene of great prosperity.
Mo Yu didn't do much at first. He simply split off several views to wander around. He was surprised to find that his camera speed seemed faster in the Seireitei.
Every brick and tile in the Seireitei was constructed from materialized Reishi. In the terms of a Xianxia novel, even a toilet plunger here was made of high-grade, condensed "Spirit Qi." The Reishi concentration was terrifyingly high, and thanks to this, Mo Yu's Divine Authorities were even easier to wield.
Mo Yu panned his view toward the center of the Seireitei. He saw the headquarters of the 1st Division. Its largest building was the meeting hall where the Gotei 13 Captains gathered. When Mo Yu maneuvered his view inside, he found Captain-Commander Yamamoto already standing there, leaning on his cane.
His hair and beard were entirely white, the latter reaching his waist. Though he was tall, his slightly hunched back made him look shorter than he actually was. A deep, X-shaped scar ran from his forehead to the top of his head, but his narrowed eyes made the scar look less prominent, giving him an almost benevolent appearance.
Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto had risen during the era of noble infighting and ended that age with his own blade. He was hailed as the strongest "Killing Ghost" in a thousand years, bar none. In his youth, he was a man who would use any means to win—kidnapping, sneak attacks, poisoning, ambushes—he had zero moral qualms and would use even his subordinates' lives as tools. Yhwach had once called him a "Ruthless Blade-Demon."
But today, eons later, as he found more things he wished to protect, that ruthless ghost had become a stubborn, stern old man—highly observant of rules, yet protective and generous toward talented juniors.
Mo Yu watched the old man with a playful gaze.
In the Bleach anime, Yamamoto always held the title of "The Strongest," but that strength came with a price. A thousand years ago, the invincible ghost was a dark-haired middle-aged man. Now, he was a sunset-years old man. For a long-lived Soul Reaper, this change illustrated the "cost" of being the strongest.
The other cost was that as the strongest, Yamamoto was always targeted. The Nobles constantly made trouble for him, and villains like Aizen and Yhwach always used body doubles to bait out his "Ultimate" moves. In the original series, Yamamoto possessed peerless power but never achieved a heavyweight victory; he mostly just one-shot "mobs" with high-style Finishers. He was "Invincibly Lonely."
Even so, his character was formidable. In many fanfics, obtaining a Zanpakuto like his was seen as the symbol of invincibility. And it was true: once Yamamoto released his Bankai, aside from old monsters like Ichibe Hyosube of the Zero Division, he was essentially an unstoppable force. If he weren't, how could he have ended an era and founded a new one by himself?
At this moment, Yamamoto had received the report: Aizen and Byakuya had returned with the culprit behind the time-reversal event.
Yamamoto's narrowed eyes opened slightly, revealing a cold, sharp glint, but he didn't speak. He instinctively felt a headache coming on.
He was no rookie. He knew more secrets than anyone. When the time-reversal event occurred, he had already harbored a faint suspicion. Simply put, to make time reverse across the entire human world—excluding some impossible miracles—there was only one suspect: the Soul King.
Central 46 had been frantic to investigate, but Yamamoto didn't care. While the Soul Society revered the Soul King in name, if the "King" were to actually stir—or even just wiggle a finger—the Nobles would be the first to charge into the palace and stab Him until He was "quiet" again, keeping Him as a puppet mascot.
Yamamoto had sent Aizen and Byakuya just to appease the Nobles. He hadn't expected them to actually bring back a "culprit." This made things difficult.
If they hadn't caught anyone, he'd just have to listen to the Nobles' nagging—something he'd been used to for centuries. But now that a prisoner was here, he had to act. He couldn't not interrogate him, as the Nobles wouldn't allow it. But if he did interrogate him and found a link to the Soul King, it would be an even bigger mess.
The truth of the Soul King was known to only a tiny few. To most Soul Reapers and Captains, the King was a benevolent, sagely ruler. Any information to the contrary would have unpredictable consequences.
Ryujin Jakka was strong enough to rule the heavens, but handling this mess required patience and wisdom rather than force.
Yamamoto thought for a moment, then spoke: "Have the two Captains put the prisoner in the dungeon under strict guard. Forbid any unauthorized access. I shall interrogate him on a chosen day."
Yamamoto planned to drag this out—months, a year, maybe several. He would negotiate with all parties to seek a smooth resolution. Having lived through a chaotic era of corpses, he just wanted stability.
Mo Yu watched Yamamoto. From his words and expression, he could guess the old man's thoughts. He chuckled to himself.
As the saying goes: God has come not to bring peace, but a sword. Mo Yu wasn't about to let the plot proceed so peacefully. Even if he wanted to, the World Bubble might not last that long.
So, Mo Yu decided to say hello to the Soul Society and announce the start of the arc!
He pulled his camera high, soaring above the buildings to overlook the Seireitei. His hand gripped the mouse.
In the Reishi-rich environment, the power of the Hand of God had grown. Following Mo Yu's will, the cursor on the screen transformed into a small paintbrush. Mo Yu's hand made a sudden, wide sweep.
In the clear, sunny sky of the Seireitei, an anomaly erupted.
A streak of blood-red color cut across the heavens.
Soul Reapers on patrol noticed the phenomenon immediately. Their shouts drew the attention of high-seated officers. Even Yamamoto was alerted; he stepped outside, staring at the sky with an unreadable expression.
The blood-red lines, carrying a brilliant radiance, spread naturally across the sky as if an invisible hand were holding a world-sized brush and splashing ink onto the canvas of the world.
In an instant, the lines interwove, forming a blood-red Vertical Eye that covered the sky.
The single blood-red eye overlooked the world. The shimmering light within it acted as its gaze, flowing with a divine indifference.
Yamamoto's eyes flickered. Finally, a barely audible whisper escaped his lips:
"Soul King... are You watching us?"
The voice was so low even he could barely hear it, so naturally, there was no response. But whether it was a hallucination or not, Yamamoto felt he saw a flicker of cold killing intent within that eye!
Mo Yu had no idea what Yamamoto was thinking. He just looked at his mouse-drawn masterpiece and nodded in satisfaction.
Originally, he wanted to draw a "Funny Face" emoji, but he realized his artistic skills weren't quite up to par. So he just drew an oval with a few lines inside to make a vertical eye.
It didn't matter what the eye did—in fact, it had no purpose at all. It was just a "Logo" to say hello. To announce that...
The Lord has arrived!
