Chapter 1 - the unknown

**In a world with a red sky and black clouds, ruined buildings and scattered corpses, monsters running between the buildings and roads. A destroyed world where human life has become almost extinct.**

In the midst of this world, a boy was found lying on the ground among the dirt and rocks on one of the mountains. A boy wearing dirty white clothes, bald, with a face that looked about seventeen years old.

After an unknown period of unconsciousness, he slowly woke up and began looking around, right and left.

What is he doing here? Who is he?

Several minutes passed while he stood motionless in his place, his face completely devoid of any expression.

Then suddenly, he decided to step forward and move, as if he had received an order to do so.

He advanced through the shattered mountain paths in an organized manner, as if searching for something.

After several minutes of walking, he encountered a strange creature with pale skin, red eyes, and an emotionless face, feeding on one of the dogs whose entrails were scattered on the ground.

The boy felt danger and hid behind a large rock nearby, watching the creature from behind it.

Then he began to hear a voice inside his head telling him to kill the creature.

He looked around carefully and spotted a pointed, sharp-edged piece of metal lying some distance away.

He looked at the creature again and saw it was still eating the dog, unaware of his presence. He seized the opportunity and slowly walked toward the metal piece.

When he reached it, he quietly picked it up and headed toward the looming danger without making a sound.

In the blink of an eye, he stabbed the creature in the head, leaving its head gushing blood profusely, then continued moving forward following the orders of the voice in his head.

After walking for about an hour, he reached the edge of the road.

The boy looked down the cliff and saw that the ground was extremely far below — impossible to descend.

Then he heard the voice in his head ordering him to turn around and find a way to get down.

At that very moment, he began to hear the sound of rapid footsteps approaching him.

He spun around quickly, his face filled with shock and astonishment, only to find the strange creature he had stabbed earlier still alive, charging toward him at full speed with its mouth open, full of blood.

Before the boy could react, the creature collided with him, throwing both of them off the cliff.

During the fall, the creature tried to attack the boy, attempting to bite him while gripping his shoulders tightly,

while the boy struggled to push the creature's mouth away and land blows on it,

his face clearly showing exhaustion and terror.

The boy quickly glanced behind him and saw the ground rushing closer and closer.

At that exact moment, he heard the voice inside his head screaming at him in a deafening tone:

"Flip this fu**ing thing! Flip it and make it face the ground!"

The boy looked at the creature and began pressing hard with his arms, then tore them free from his shoulders.

With a swift movement, he flipped their positions, putting the creature beneath him facing the ground while he rose above it.

Moments later, both of them slammed into the ground with tremendous force.

The creature's body shattered into pieces from the impact, while the boy suffered severe wounds all over his body.

But he survived — because he had used the creature as a cushion that softened the fall.

The boy lay on the ground, covered in blood and the creature's entrails.

A sharp static noise could be heard, mixed with the same voice that had been instructing him before,

but this time the voice's screams were gradually fading, drowned out by the intensifying static.

As the boy slowly lost consciousness, he heard that same voice say to him in a tone full of rage:

"No no no! This is not the end! Even if I'm no longer here, even if I lose the connection, I must sa—ve—"

And his voice cut off abruptly, and with it, the boy lost consciousness.

Despite the deep, potentially fatal wounds, strangely, they began to heal gradually over a very long time.

Several hours later, the boy slowly awoke and struggled to his feet, feeling pain throughout his entire body.

He looked right and left, his mind foggy, having forgotten why he was in this place or what he was supposed to be doing here at all.

He was lost in the unknown, surrounded by rocks and dirt, with only the sound of the wind in his ears.

As time passed, the boy decided to keep walking with no clear purpose — simply moving forward into the unknown.

After some time walking, he came across a dark cave in front of him.

He stood staring at it, a hint of curiosity on his face, and approached it.

He got close to the cave entrance and took a quick glance inside.

At first he couldn't see anything due to the complete darkness covering the place,

but then he noticed two red eyes in the middle of the darkness, staring at him with a bloodthirsty gaze.

The boy didn't know what that thing was, but his instincts warned him of the imminent danger.

In a single moment, he turned around and decided to run away from the cave.

But before he could get far, a nearly human-like monster pounced on him — with huge clawed hands,

and terrifying red eyes that radiated fear and dread, its skin an intense shade of green.

The monster delivered a swift blow to the boy's head, causing him to collapse unconscious to the ground, becoming the new monster's prey.

The monster prepared to devour him, but…

From out of nowhere, the sound of a car could be heard approaching from a distance.

The monster quickly turned its head to the right, only to see a car with a front covered in sharp spikes speeding directly toward it.

Before it could make any move, the car slammed into it, the spikes piercing through its body, spraying blood everywhere…

The boy slowly opened his eyes to find a man stepping out of the car.

The man was wearing an elegant gray suit with a few dirt stains on it, a classic gray hat on his head, green eyes, and a light blond beard covering his face.
