Chapter 24 - witness the scenery 24

After all of that was done, At the moment, however, we simply wanted to step outside and witness the scenery with our own eyes—something that, until recently, we had only been able to see through a screen.

Now that this was truly another world, we agreed to go out together and experience the fresh air—something we could never truly feel in our old world.

For now, we chose to enjoy the unfamiliar sky of a world no longer bound by a game.

Momonga and Ublert wore simple cloaks and masks to keep their presence low and their identities obscured.

As for me, I wore one of the cloaks I had custom-made. With a mere thought, the cloak could change its shape and style—or be completely reshaped depending on what I desired, making it useful for camouflage.

They teleported to the lower floor, and the moment they stepped forward, the guards stationed there immediately detected them. Oh shit.

The guardians on duty raised their weapons, preparing to attack without hesitation.

However, before anything could happen, Demiurge calmly raised his hand. "Stand down, there is no need for hostility. They are not intruders." The guards froze instantly.

Demiurge had already recognized their identities. His sharp eyes gleamed behind his glasses as he gave a slight bow. "Pardon our offense, my Lords."

Momonga raised one skeletal hand calmly. "There is no need to apologize, Demiurge. They were merely doing their duty. If anything, we are the ones who should apologize for appearing without prior notice."

Demiurge adjusted his glasses, his expression unreadable but thoughtful. "Your generosity is as boundless as ever, Momonga-sama. However, the fault still lies with us for failing to identify you immediately."

Momonga's crimson gaze dimmed slightly. "There is no fault. Vigilance is a virtue. Nazarick's security should never falter."

Henry looked at Demiurge calmly. "If you truly wish to make up for what happened, then grant us this request—no guards at our side when we go out to observe the scenery."

Demiurge's smile did not fade, but his eyes sharpened behind his glasses. "I am afraid that would be impossible, Henry-sama." His tone remained respectful, yet firm. "The Supreme Beings must never be left unprotected in an unknown world. We have no information about potential threats. Allowing you to walk outside without any escort would be negligence on my part."

Momonga folded his skeletal hands behind his back but remained silent, observing.

Ublert sighed softly. "Demiurge, there is no hidden agenda. We simply wish to observe the outside world for ourselves."

"That may be true," Demiurge replied smoothly, "but danger does not require intention. It only requires opportunity."

There was a brief silence.

Ulbert could only sighed again. This was his creation after all. "…Fine. If there's truly is no other option, then Demiurge himself will accompany us to ensure our safety."

Demiurge's eyes widened ever so slightly, "…I understand. If that is your will, then I shall personally accompany you to ensure your safety."

After reassuring him, we finally stepped outside—with Demiurge acting as our escort.

With that compromise reached, the four of them stepped forward—into the vast, open grassland stretching to the horizon, swaying gently under an unfamiliar sky. This was no longer a world confined within a game.

-------

....finally.

Clean oxygen...

This isn't recycled air from a machine… it's real. It's fresh. I can actually feel it filling my lungs.

I waited ten whole years for this moment.

Ten long years of staring at the world through a screen. Ten years of knowing what the sky looked like, but never truly feeling the wind beneath it.

But this… this is different.

The breeze brushes against my skin. The scent of grass drifts faintly through the air, its not visual data—it's something I can actually feel.

For a whole decade, I didn't even realize how much I missed something as simple as breathing freely.

Just one breath… and it already feels worth the wait.

Swiess—

Momonga suddenly took off without any warning, flying upward.

Ublert followed after summoning his wings, and before Demiurge could transform his form to fly and follow, I suggested to Demiurge that I could help carry him into the sky.

I reached out my hand, and he lowered his head slightly.

After Demiurge took my hand, then I used [BLUE SCREEN MANIFESTATION] magic to shape beneath both of us. The magical platform lifted us into the air, allowing us to fly and follow Momonga and Ublert.

Demiurge spoke quietly, "Thank you for the assistance, Henry-sama."

"You're welcome," I replied calmly. "Just hold on, we're catching up with them."

----

We finally reached the atmosphere, and from there we could see the Earth below, with beautiful stars scattered across the sky.

Momonga spoke softly, "This world is like a jewel…"

Ublert smirked faintly. "How about we conquer it? So that no one will be able to contaminate or destroy this new world."

Henry nodded slowly. "Not a bad idea."

Momonga remained silent for a moment before speaking again. "But conquest is not always about destruction." He glanced at ublert and Henry, already know what their thinking, "If we take control of this world… we must also decide how it will be ruled."

Ublert chuckled softly. "Naturally. A world worth conquering is a world worth preserving… and we already have gathered quite a lot of information about it."

Henry crossed his arms. "Yes. For now, we can begin planning our next steps more carefully." I could already hear the gears in Demiurge's head turning, filled with possibilities that none of us were taking seriously.

And since we were located above the atmosphere, Demiurge would surely feel cold. I remembered that cold was one of his weaknesses—though it would usually take high-level magic to truly weaken him.

Wind alone wouldn't be a problem, but I still decided to give him my cloak. I changed the shape of my cloak into a cape with fur lining on the upper part. Then I removed the cape from myself and placed it on Demiurge.

He seemed to blush slightly—perhaps from the cold air, or perhaps from surprise—but he also looked comfortable wearing it.

Thankfully i always customized my equipment, and accessories to make them comfortable to use.

Momonga and Ublert felt slightly embarrassed by my romantic-like behavior toward Demiurge, as if they were intruding on someone else's private moment.

After finishing their conversation, the sound of magic activation could be heard below.

Mare was already using illusion magic to conceal Nazarick, while Alastor could be seen working on rebuilding the swamp environment.

Henry sent a message. [Momonga, Ublert, this is the right time for me to try talking with Demiurge.]

Momonga and Ublert both agreed.

Momonga spoke first. "It seems Mare and alastor has already begun concealing Nazarick. I will go down to check on the progress."

Ublert followed. "And i will go to my chamber first. A lot has happened today, and I want to rest for the long day tomorrow."

Henry smiled Playfuly. "Then I suppose I'll steal a little of Demiurge's attention for myself, if no one objects."

Demiurge, who heard this, blushed slightly.

Momonga and Ublert both nodded in agreement. They wanted to leave very badly and were just waiting for any excuse they could find.

Momonga began flying downward toward Mare and alastor, while Ublert teleported back to his own room.
