Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Maple Leaf Coins

Seeing the mission details, Natsuyu had originally only planned to give it a try—but now she was determined to find the treasure. Completing this world quest would allow her to accumulate enough Primogems for ten wishes and finally draw for new characters.

She carefully studied the paper, which displayed irregular patterns—moons, triangles—and three letters: "ORO."

Natsuyu didn't fully remember how to decipher these symbols, only that they were related to neon lights at night.

Genta, noticing Natsuyu staring at the treasure map for a while, grew impatient. "Sister Natsuyu, what's the plan? Any clues yet?"

"Hm… the person who made this puzzle is really clever. I don't have much of a clue right now," Natsuyu said, pretending to treat it like a puzzle given by an adult, and offered a small hint. "But I do know what these letters mean."

Conan, hearing this, could hardly contain his excitement. His mind immediately went to codes and riddles, and he asked urgently, "What do they mean?"

"They mean 'gold' in Italian," Natsuyu answered without teasing, smiling to encourage the kids. "Looks like the treasure you're searching for is gold. I'll be waiting for Genta to find it and invite me to eat, okay?"

She was playing the part of a skeptical adult who still encouraged the kids' adventure, and even she had to admit—her performance was impressive.

Normally, Conan would have to check the dictionary at the library later, so telling them now didn't really save much time.

"Gold?!" Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko all exclaimed excitedly. Even Conan was a little surprised.

He took the treasure map from Natsuyu and examined the codes carefully, unable to shake the suspicion: could this really be a treasure map? How could a random paper by the roadside be a real map?

Seeing them busy studying the map, Natsuyu decided to leave first. "You guys take your time… search carefully for the treasure. I still need to find a cat, so I'll go ahead."

Hearing Natsuyu mutter she had other things to do, Conan realized she probably didn't believe there was actual gold either—she was just humoring the kids.

Ayumi and the others understood and didn't want to disturb her. One by one, they said their goodbyes. "See you, Sister Natsuyu."

"Bye," Natsuyu replied, turning to leave.

Since Paimon couldn't see Conan and the others, she asked Natsuyu, 「Traveler, do you know how to solve the codes on the treasure map?」

'I don't.' Natsuyu answered confidently.

She wasn't particularly skilled at puzzles; in Genshin Impact, she usually relied on guides to solve Inazuma's map puzzles. And with the Conan anime running for so many years, there was no way she could remember the early codes, especially those related to neon lights.

But it didn't matter if she couldn't remember. Someone surely could, and even if he didn't remember either, he could likely decipher the code. Natsuyu had full confidence in him.

She sent a message to Lisa, asking her to start looking for a cat. As usual, Lisa teased her a little.

Natsuyu always felt that Lisa genuinely enjoyed teasing her—perhaps it was just her nature—but she decided to minimize interactions with Lisa in the future.

Natsuyu found a piece of paper and drew the code. Even though she had only looked at it briefly, her memory was sharper now than before, probably thanks to her Traveler body.

She had Paimon take a photo with the system and send it to Alhaitham, along with a brief explanation.

Yes, the person Natsuyu had just referred to was Alhaitham.

When Alhaitham received the message, he was busy, and he didn't put aside his work. He recalled what he knew—sharing Natsuyu's consciousness meant he had access to some of her memories. Using those and the code, he roughly deduced the treasure's location. After sending the solution back to Natsuyu, he continued his experiments, leaving no trace that he had been distracted at all.

Less than ten minutes later, Natsuyu received Alhaitham's message. She glanced at the sky—the sun hadn't fully set yet, leaving plenty of time.

Knowing the approximate location of the treasure, she didn't need to follow the map step by step like Conan and the others; she could go straight to the destination.

First, she had to find a building with the characters "Kisaragi" displayed on it. Once inside, she looked out the window and spotted a wave-shaped reflection on the water forming a "fish" shape. Adding the distance of a streetlamp on the water's edge created the fish's eye. Above that spot, the letters "ORO" were suspended from the ceiling.

Sure enough, when Natsuyu arrived at the location, she looked up and saw several bags of coins hanging from above. On the ground lay a coin that had accidentally fallen.

Using nearby walls for leverage, Natsuyu jumped onto some beams for a better vantage point, seeing the full spread of coins.

Paimon was thrilled. 「Wow! Traveler, you really found the coins! Look at all of them—how much food could we buy with this?!」

Natsuyu: 'Paimon, all you ever think about is food. You can't eat this yet anyway. This is our organization's starting capital.'

「Ugh, just thinking about it is too much…」

Natsuyu examined the coins and asked Paimon, 'Paimon, can we use the system to put the coins into our inventory directly?' If the system could store items drawn from it, perhaps it could work with physical objects too.

「Hm… I'm not sure, but we can try.」

Soon, the coins in the bags vanished. Natsuyu focused her mind, opened her system inventory, and saw a slot now contained Maple Leaf Coins, totaling 15,000.

「Traveler! We really can put things in the inventory!」 Paimon exclaimed.

'Yes.' Natsuyu confirmed.

Thus, Maple Leaf Coins worth six hundred million yen were now in their possession.

The world quest updated to "Completed," and Natsuyu had enough Primogems for another ten wishes.

However, she didn't plan to leave immediately. She rearranged the scene, put some items back into the original coin bags, and cleaned up her traces before leaving.

Next, she would meet up with Lisa, return the cats to their owners, complete her daily commissions, and finally head home to wash up and prepare for her draws.
