It wasn't until the afternoon that the four of them, while busy, managed to finish another batch of masks.
"Alright, I think that's enough," Lee Jordan said. "We need to go create some buzz."
"You just thought of that?" George chuckled. "I already asked the Hufflepuff people to spread the word about the Muggle Halloween tradition."
"For our products to sell even better!" Fred immediately added.
Harry watched the two of them, one singing and one harmonizing, and couldn't help but smile. After spending this time together, he realized that the Weasley Brothers were natural born businessmen; their ideas were simply too broad.
The group walked out of the abandoned classroom. Harry didn't participate in their sales activities; as George put it, he was already tired enough, and they, the older kids, could handle such troublesome matters.
Harry was happy to rest and naturally wouldn't refuse.
And he was indeed tired. He had no classes that morning, and his Flying Class in the afternoon was canceled due to Halloween. From morning until now, he had been continuously using the Wizards Hand at high intensity to perform intricate runic carvings.
Now, he just felt a stinging and swelling sensation in his head.
Hurrying back to his dormitory, Harry saw a large parcel next to his bed.
"Did you bring this in for me?" Harry asked Draco.
"Hmm," Draco was playing Wizard's Chess with Crabbe, and nodded without looking up. "What is it?"
"Candy from Honeydukes," Harry said, opening the parcel. "In the Muggle world, for Halloween, we go to people's houses to ask for candy.
But here in school, no one's asking."
With that, Harry grabbed a handful of Honeydukes sweets and gave them to Draco.
"I don't want them. I have plenty of candy," Draco said. His mother often sent him candy, and he actually didn't like eating it much, always sharing it with Crabbe and Goyle.
"These are holiday candies," Harry smiled, and gave a handful to Crabbe and Goyle as well.
After being roommates for so long, their relationship was no longer as bad as it once was.
"Alright, thank you," Draco said, taking the handful of candy. Crabbe and Goyle also thanked him while eagerly unwrapping the candies and putting them in their mouths.
Upon arriving at the Common Room, Harry generously distributed candies to some of the older students he knew.
It wasn't until Harry left the Common Room that someone muttered in a low voice.
"Heh, Muggle traditions. Candy, how utterly foolish and childish."
"Knowles, no one would think you're mute if you didn't speak. These are holiday candies; regardless, it's a kind gesture."
"Or is our baby Knowles simply wanting candy and is jealous because he didn't get any? Then you can write to your mother and ask her to send you some."
"Are you trying to pick a fight again?!"
...
Harry had never seen Hogwarts so vibrant. This was the first holiday since the start of term, and everyone was bursting with excitement. All sorts of Halloween decorations were flying and floating throughout the Castle.
As Harry passed the Great Hall, he could see a thousand bats fluttering on the walls and ceiling, and another thousand, like low-lying dark clouds, circling above the dining tables.
The enormous pumpkins Hagrid grew had been carved into scary faces, and it was unclear what magic had been used, but when Little Wizards walked by, the pumpkins would suddenly contort their expressions and let out 'woo-wah' roars, trying to scare them.
And this was the first time he had seen so many ghosts in one day, apart from the small dark room on the first day of school.
Even Nearly Headless Nick, the ghost who always hated it when people mentioned his 'nearly headless' state, would today willingly lift up his almost severed neck and greet passing Little Wizards.
Clearly, he was in an unusually good mood.
The mischievous Peeves was even more annoying. Of the Halloween traditions promoted by the Weasley Brothers, he only focused on one key point:
Troublemaking!
"Trick or treat!" He held a dark, super-sized booger-like object in his hand, blocking a Little Wizard.
"I... I don't have any candy," the Little Wizard stammered.
Harry heard the voice, which sounded somewhat familiar, and then realized it was Neville.
"Aha, no candy, huh? Then I'll give you some! Here you go~ Peeves' super-sized, super-delicious booger candy!!"
"Peeves, here!"
Just a second before he smeared that disgusting thing on Neville's face, a chocolate appeared before Peeves' eyes.
Neville turned his head and saw it was Harry.
Peeves looked at the candy, and his face immediately crumpled.
"No fun, I don't want it, keep it for yourself, I don't care for it." With that, he walked away, feeling bored.
He couldn't eat candy; he just wanted to play a prank.
But he had just said "trick or treat," and now that someone had given him candy, he couldn't very well—
"Aha, just kidding!!"
A triumphant laugh rang out as Peeves suddenly turned and hurled the large mass at Harry and Neville.
With a splat, the large, dark mass seemed to hit an invisible wall, then fell to the ground.
"I expected that; after all, our mischievous poltergeist never cares about holidays when playing pranks," Harry chuckled.
"Damn you, Potter, what trick did you use?" Peeves roared.
However, no sooner had he spoken than he felt a 'thump' on his head.
He looked up but saw nothing.
While he was wondering, his leg was suddenly grabbed by an invisible hand and swung several times in the air.
Finally, Peeves couldn't take it anymore and screamed, passing through the wall and fleeing in a panic.
"Potter is playing Dark Arts! Potter is playing Dark Arts!!"
"Hahahaha." Harry laughed at Peeves' reaction, then looked at Neville and handed him the candy he had just offered.
"Thank you for helping me, Potter," Neville said, taking the candy and quickly thanking him.
Harry waved his hand, "It's nothing, just a small favor."
After this period of intense practice, Harry was barely able to make the Wizards Hand invisible. In that instant, he had used this trick to block that large booger.
"By the way, have you seen Hermione?" Harry said, he hadn't given Hermione candy yet.
"I don't know, I haven't seen her all afternoon," Neville shook his head.
"Oh, right. Hermione even skipped class," he suddenly remembered, and quickly added, "She only attended Charms Class this morning, and then didn't go to the second class."
Harry frowned, feeling a sense of absurdity.
Hermione—skipping class?!
This was too unusual. Could something have happened?
"Alright, thank you, Neville," Harry said, then quickly headed towards the Gryffindor Common Room.
He couldn't help but hope that careless Neville had gotten something wrong.
This was one of the rare times he wished Neville would make a mistake.
Another recommendation is here, but let's be clear, it's a seedling!! However, it has great potential for the future. It's an HP fanfiction by the author Chen Zhi Lianyi, who is an experienced HP author. You can safely add it to your collection!
