Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Mom, I Want to Go Home

Mom… I want to go home.

Being stared at by a group of supremely bizarre "things" that completely exceeded human comprehension, Tang Chuan was under immense pressure.

Fortunately, the **** seat beneath him and the black crystal embedded deep within his consciousness blocked most of that scrutiny. Otherwise, those gazes alone would have been enough to rummage through his memories and expose his true identity.

…Wait.

How did I know that?

Before Tang Chuan could follow that thought to its conclusion, he had already sat down calmly on the divine seat, right under the collective gaze of the Supreme Lord Gods.

His posture was lazy.

One hand propped up his chin.

As if this were just another boring meeting he'd attended countless times before.

Using those same obscure, incomprehensible syllables, almost instinctively, he spoke in a flat tone:

"Strength and weakness are meaningless."

The moment those words left his mouth, Tang Chuan vaguely sensed something shift.

More than half of the Supreme Lord Gods withdrew their attention from him.

A few still observed him carefully.

Among them was the sarcoma-covered existence, eyes, horns, and grotesque growths layered across its body.

Its many eyes swept over the strange objects hanging from Tang Chuan's body and asked:

"Why do you carry these meaningless items?"

Tang Chuan glanced at it politely.

and almost threw up on the spot.

There was no normal human alive who could calmly tolerate such a sight.

Its form was more grotesque than exposed internal organs, more confusing than the most convoluted cosmic laws, and more terrifying than the howls of wild beasts in absolute darkness.

Tang Chuan forcibly suppressed the urge to bend over and vomit, quickly pulling his gaze away.

Maintaining his composure at great personal cost, he replied:

"To cultivate a new god. Adding a bit of personality."

If you asked Tang Chuan what he was talking about,

He honestly had no idea.

But something deep within him told him this answer was correct.

Or at least, the least dangerous one.

The sarcoma-like being squirmed slightly.

Its eyes and horns swayed like massive abscesses on layers of fat, making Tang Chuan fear that even a glance out of the corner of his eye would cause his stomach to revolt.

This movement seemed to resemble a human nod.

"Ideas are good," it said.

"Behavior is barren. Personality is full."

The phrasing was strange, but Tang Chuan roughly understood.

Good idea. Pointless action. Very you.

Tang Chuan nodded once, then subtly shifted his hand to block part of his vision, strategically covering the more… tumor-dense regions.

Seeing that he had no intention of speaking further, the other Supreme beings withdrew their gazes as well.

"Let us begin," said the existence whose body appeared to be composed of countless galaxies, three faces, eight arms.

The remaining Supreme Lord Gods nodded in their own incomprehensible ways.

Tang Chuan followed suit with a shallow nod.

The Galaxy-Cell being swept its gaze around the circle and spoke:

"This meeting will be chaired by me. Another new universe cycle has passed. Gather your thoughts."

"There are thirty-nine matters to address."

"First matter."

"In the previous universe cycle, an existence ascended to the Upper God level of the main universe. Its designation: Peroni Fatma."

"Additionally, three beings reached the Middle God level: Mokraka, Yetai, and Nongsi."

"According to the Lord God Code, any entity that overrides the orderly rules of the main universe with disordered laws must be formally crowned by members of the Main Temple."

"Who will go?"

The planet-shaped being spoke first.

"I have interacted with Nongsi. I can go."

The mist-like existence followed immediately.

"I will handle the other two."

The Galaxy-Cell nodded.

"Approved."

"It should also be noted that this Upper God is the greatest crystallization of the last universe cycle."

"At least three Main Temple members are required to liberate the rules at the universe core and record it in the Main Temple's reserve."

"I will go. Two more are required."

Silence fell.

The Supreme beings exchanged looks, big eyes, small eyes, countless eyes.

No one volunteered.

After a moment, the sarcoma-like being squirmed again.

"I will go with Disaster."

Instantly, the gazes of the Supreme Lord Gods focused on Tang Chuan.

Tang Chuan slowly lowered the hand supporting his chin and replied calmly:

"I'm not going. Change someone else."

Crowning gods.

Liberating rules.

Main Temple reserves.

He roughly understood what that meant.

But,

Why send him?

What exactly was he supposed to do after arriving?

He had no clue.

The sarcoma-like being was clearly taken aback.

"Aren't we… joint attributes?"

The meaning was painfully clear.

Aren't we best partners?

Did you forget those years we worked together under the cosmic sunset?

Something stirred in the darkness of Tang Chuan's consciousness.

A thin veil lifted.

He suddenly understood.

The original God of Disaster had an excellent relationship with this sarcoma-like Supreme Lord God. They had cooperated countless times.

So much so that it had already assumed Tang Chuan wouldn't refuse.

Tang Chuan cursed inwardly.

Can't I switch partners?

This wasn't prejudice.

It was biological instinct.

Every cell in his body screamed danger and nausea whenever he looked at this thing.

Suppressing the intense physical discomfort, Tang Chuan forced a smile and said:

"The main body is currently undergoing analysis and contemplation. This clone is not suitable for crowning duties."

The sarcoma-like being stared at him, many eyes staring at once.

"Then we'll change participants. Who will go with me?"

Then it asked again:

"How long will your contemplation last? I have something to share."

Translated roughly:

When will you leave seclusion? I found something good. Come over and eat together.

Tang Chuan's scalp tingled.

Still, he shook his head solemnly and replied:

"Our bond is unquestionable. You may keep half. I will contemplate for a very, very long time. If I do not return, give this clone to me."

Which meant:

Good brother, keep the good stuff for me. I don't know when I'll be back. If I never return, just give it to this body.

He had no idea what the "good thing" was.

But if a Supreme being valued it, it was definitely priceless.

Better reserve it first.

The sarcoma-like being squirmed.

"Agreed."

At this point, perhaps unable to watch this strange display of friendship any longer, another Supreme God spoke up:

"I'll go."

The Galaxy-Cell nodded.

"So be it."

"Second matter."

"In the previous universe cycle, prolonged conflicts among Upper Gods occupied a quarter of the timeline."

"At the core of the main universe, the mixing frequency of disordered rules has increased."

"As a result, the number of newborn universes has decreased, while barren universes have increased."

"To maintain balance, revisions to the Lord God Code are required."

"Restrictions must be placed on the number, frequency, and duration of Upper God conflicts."

"State your opinions."

The mist-like being spoke first.

"Disputes must remain far from the universe core. Conflicts involving more than ten entities must apply to the Main Temple for arbitration."

Other Supreme Lord Gods voiced their opinions one after another.

After grasping the general idea, Tang Chuan also spoke lightly, maintaining his persona:

"Either enforce Main Temple arbitration, reduce dispute frequency, or limit conflict duration. If ineffective, punishment should be imposed."

The sarcoma-like Supreme Lord squirmed enthusiastically.

"I agree with Disaster!"

Tang Chuan lowered his head, closed his eyes, raised one hand,

and gave a firm thumbs-up.

Good brother. Eternal partner.

Whether it understood or not was irrelevant.

Tang Chuan truly couldn't endure it anymore.

Goosebumps covered his arms. His scalp buzzed. His stomach churned violently. His eyes were bloodshot.

If this "affectionate exchange" continued any longer, even his genetic fragments were going to start screaming.

God…

When will this meeting end?
