Synopsis
Thee world didn't end with a bang. It ended with a beautiful, golden rain that turned everyone into "devious" monsters. One minute, the world was normal. The next, humanity was stripping off its clothes and its sanity, transformed into feral zombies driven by a hunger that wasn't just for flesh. The stench of rot filled the air, and the "Devious" began their hunt. Hex—short for Hexald is the only man who didn't turn. But he discovered something much crazier than the apocalypse: His DNA is the only vaccine. One "dose" of his release can turn a monster back into a beautiful woman. The catch? It only lasts seven days. After 168 hours, the hunger returns, the skin turns cold, and the madness takes over again. Now, Hex is the most valuable resource on a dying planet. In a world where every woman is a ticking time bomb, he has to choose who to save and who to let turn. From the blonde-haired, chocolate-skinned Janiella to ice-queen editors and high-ranking officers, they all need his "medicine." He isn’t a hero. He isn’t a saint. He’s just one man trying to manage a growing harem of survivors who are literally dying for his touch. The clock is ticking. Sunday is coming. And Hex is almost out of time. "One week of sanity. One night with me. Pick one."

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Golden Hangover

The world didn't end with a bang. It ended with a majestic, golden rain that looked like liquid stars falling from a moonless sky. Beautiful. (haha). Like the universe finally decided to throw us a party before flushing us down the toilet.

In a cramped, cheap inn, the air was thick with a different kind of storm. I didn't see the light. My name is Hexald. Most people call me Hex. Or they did, before names stopped mattering. My face was buried in the side of Janiella's neck. My lungs were filled with her scent. Cheap perfume and sweat. I was driving myself into her. The old bed screamed. Its springs were begging for mercy with every heavy, rhythmic thrust.

"Hex... oh god, Hex," she gasped. Her hands were clawing at my back. She shifted. Her legs locked around my waist. She pulled my body tighter against her chocolate skin. It was warm. Alive.

I was seconds away from a release that felt like it would shatter my bones. I didn't care that the sky was breaking. I didn't care that the world was screaming. I just wanted to drown in her. Sex is the only honest thing left when everything else is a lie.

Then, a single drop of that golden rain leaked through the roof. A tiny, shimmering intruder. It fell directly into Janiella's open, gasping mouth.

The change was instantaneous.

The soft moans turned into a guttural, wet growl. The sweet scent of her sweat curdled. It turned into the stench of a week-old corpse in a heartbeat. Rotting meat and ozone. Hex felt her skin turn cold. Icy. Dead.

What the hell? I tried to pull back. I was still inside her, but she wasn't there anymore. Janiella's strength had quadrupled. Her fingers were different. Tipped with black, jagged claws. They dug into my shoulders. Her eyes rolled back. Only bloodshot whites bulging from their sockets.

She wasn't a girl anymore. She was a feral, hungry god of the apocalypse. A Deviant.

"Janiella?!" I yelled. My heart was hammering against my ribs.

She didn't answer. She kicked me squarely in the chest. Her bare sole hit like a sledgehammer. I flew off the bed. I crashed into the wooden wardrobe. Wood splintered. My spine screamed.

I scrambled to my feet. I was naked and trembling. She lunged. Her claws were an inch from my throat. She looked devious. Her mouth was hanging open, drooling bile.

The "release" I had been holding back finally snapped. Total biological failure. My DNA hit her. The golden, glowing cure.

The madness in her eyes vanished. The grey, rotting tint on her skin receded like a tide. She collapsed mid-air. She fell onto the floor as a sobbing, naked human girl once more.

I stood over her. I was gasping for air. Outside, the world was a chorus of monsters. A symphony of moans and shattering glass. But in here, I held the only "medicine" left in existence. I was a walking pharmacy. Fuck me.
