Shortly after Miko left, a deafening roar echoed through the building.
Touko's face turned pale when she heard the sound.
Mrs. Tozuka immediately followed up with some flattery.
"Your daughter is truly young and promising, to have such incredible skills."
"Unlike my son, who only knows how to eat, drink, and play all day."
"Mrs. Yotsuya, you really know how to raise children; your second son is also very sensible."
Touko's attention was indeed diverted, and the two immediately began exchanging pleasantries.
The roaring continued for over an hour as Miko swept through all the public floors.
Of course, another set of new clothes was ruined.
Fortunately, Miko had brought extra clothes and turned to leave after changing into them.
"Hey Miko, drive my car back."
"Okay, I'm going now."
Miko was completely obedient to Akuto, but her brain just wasn't quite up to the task.
"You idiot, give the keys to the butler and let them do it!"
Miko awkwardly patted her forehead; this shift in mindset certainly couldn't be accomplished in a day or two.
A butler was waiting at the gym entrance; seeing Miko come out, he proactively handed her a hot towel.
Miko wiped the blood off her body.
"Could you please drive my car back for me? The location is..."
"No problem, the car will be parked in your private garage."
The butler said as he pressed the elevator button for Miko.
Back home, Miko smelled the aroma of food.
Seeing blood on her daughter, Touko forgot about cooking and rushed over to check Miko's body.
She breathed a sigh of relief after finding no obvious signs of injury.
"Miko, if there's danger, please don't push yourself."
"I know, don't worry."
Miko's injuries had been healed by Akuto's Reverse Cursed Technique, though they were only minor, just some open lacerations.
At least it was much better than broken limbs.
"I'm going to take a shower first."
Miko walked into the bathroom in her room and felt a sense of satisfaction as she saw the pure white bathtub.
In the new home, both the master bedroom and Miko's bedroom had their own bathrooms, and there was also a shared one.
So they wouldn't have to fight over the bathroom anymore.
After showering and changing into loungewear, Miko walked out of her room just as the dishes cooked by Mrs. Tozuka and Touko were being served.
The Tozuka couple had dinner with the Yotsuya Family before standing up to take their leave.
While Touko was saying goodbye to Mrs. Tozuka, Mr. Tozuka quietly slipped a card into Miko's hand.
"Please, you must accept this small token of appreciation."
"But this..."
Miko knew Mr. Tozuka had already paid the fees and given them such a luxurious house; holding this money felt a bit like holding a hot potato.
Seeming to see through Miko's thoughts, Mr. Tozuka smiled and shook his head.
If it were anyone else, Tozuka would never have said so much.
But today was an exception.
"Miss Miko, do you think I'm losing money by giving you a house?"
"No, in fact, I've earned a lot. To be precise, your status has helped bring me many times more profit."
"The prices of the apartments in this building have tripled."
Tozuka looked at Miko's surprised expression and smiled humbly.
"Actually, for people of our class, money is no longer that important."
"The real benefit I get comes from the people who can afford to buy property here. Those truly top-tier wealthy people from all over the world—that's a network that no amount of money can buy."
"So don't feel like you owe me; in fact, I'm the one taking great advantage of you."
Hearing this, Miko finally understood why Akuto had accepted Tozuka's house so easily.
Instead of owing a favor, it was the other party who was indebted to them!
The bank card in her hand didn't feel so hot anymore.
The elevator opened, and the butler happened to be inside.
"Miss Miko, here are your car keys, please keep them safe."
...Early the next morning.
Miko was forcibly dragged to the garage by Kyosuke.
Miko didn't refuse too much, as she really did need to learn how to drive.
It was far from here to Miko's school; it would take over an hour by public transportation.
If she drove herself, she could get there in about half an hour.
With her Exorcism Society ID, Miko wasn't too worried about being checked.
But she still didn't dare to drive yet.
Akuto took over the body and started the car, racing out of the underground garage.
The "Smile Killer" appeared at the elementary school entrance again, drawing another wave of admiration; Kyosuke felt like he had come back to life.
He walked as if he carried a breeze with him.
Since Miko didn't want to show off like that, Akuto parked the car in a roadside parking lot not far from the school.
Taking back control of her body, Miko grabbed her schoolbag, got out of the car, and closed the door, wishing she could bury her head in her chest.
"Do you have cervical spondylosis?"
Akuto looked at Miko in confusion.
"That... Lord Akuto might not know, but in Japan, this kind of car is too flashy."
"Usually, only rich kids or those Bosozoku drive such noisy cars."
Miko was about to leave in a hurry when, at that moment, the thing she least wanted to happen occurred.
"Eh? Classmate Yotsuya!? Is that Classmate Yotsuya!!"
Miko turned around stiffly and found it was Kitagawa from the next class.
"Ki... Kitagawa."
Miko greeted her with a forced smile.
"Wow! So cool!"
Kitagawa was practically a human megaphone, completely indifferent to the opinions of passersby, her eyes shining as she circled the car.
"So cool! Miko-chan, your car is really cool!!"
"Sugoi~"
"Can you drive already? Wow, this car must be super expensive! I've only seen it on TV!"
"Can I take a photo?"
Kitagawa looked at Miko expectantly; Miko looked around, keeping her head down for fear of being recognized.
"Take it, please be quick."
Kitagawa seemed to notice Miko's predicament and pulled her over.
"Hey, Miko-chan, be more confident! You're very pretty, and your car is so good-looking; plenty of people must be envious of you."
"Those who are jealous will be jealous no matter what."
"At least I really envy Miko-chan and really like Miko-chan's car."
"I feel like Miko-chan is super cool!"
"Eh?"
Miko looked up at Kitagawa, who was right in front of her; the latter was dressed fashionably with many accessories, and her school shirt was tied at the waist, exposing her midriff.
She looked like a Gyaru no matter how you looked at her.
Was someone like this actually so perceptive?
"Look at the camera, get ready! One, two..."
"Click, click, click, click."
With several photos in a row, the two beautiful girls in front of the luxury car were a stunning sight.
"Arigato~ Wow, there will definitely be so many likes!"
"Let's go to school together."
"Don't worry, I'll keep it a secret!"
Hearing what Kitagawa said, Miko finally felt at ease.
"Do you want to follow each other? I'll send you the photos."
"Okay, have you already followed me, Kitagawa?"
"Miko-chan, stop calling me Kitagawa; just call me by my name. You call me Marin, and I'll call you Miko."
"Okay, Marin-chan."
Miko found that beautiful girls really had no flaws; Marin was not only attentive, but being around her was completely stress-free.
Marin's ability to find conversation topics was top-notch, and she was very good at setting the mood.
Even someone like Miko, who didn't talk much, naturally chatted with her.
By the time they reached the classroom door, they were talking about Marin's love for cosplay.
"Alright, thanks for today, Miko-chan. Bye-bye."
"Bye-bye."
Miko waved, then pursed her lips and turned to go back to her own classroom.
"She's really an amazing person."
"Miko!"
Hana suddenly rushed over and hugged Miko's legs, looking at Hana with a look of terror:
"I have some super, super big bad news to tell you."
