Caidee
The roar of Cherry blocks out the wind as the general of the West stares at me and mutters curses.
I snap, I guide Cherry to the window and I jump into the chamber, Nicolas is there on the bed, chains cover his weak form, it makes me mad to see that they had done this horrible deed to my friend, the one who saved me from the clutches of the demon king, though even though mum is busy ruling the kingdom Nicolas always comes to help so seeing him like this, weak and alone, drives me insane. I take out my pink dagger my favorite one, it has a little ruby gem in it, I flash a little smile at Nicolas to try and calm his nerves before turning onto the general.
The general stares me down though there is nothing he could do to make this easier, though when the general takes Nicolas' hand in his own, my heartbreaks as I suddenly have a feeling that that is what it meant. I never wanted to hold him back from being with someone in that way, so it's understandable why he would be so overwhelmed into the chains. I put the daggers away as Cherry climbs into the chambers and she finally settle into the corner and falls into a slumber.
I unchain Nicolas and he sits up quickly and the general stabilizes him though it hurts to see his eyes so wide at my new attire, it pains me when I whisper into his ear "so do you like this guy from these dust lands?"
Nicolas hugs me and the general let's go of his hand, then I hear a child's scream. Nicolas pulls away and darts out of the room but as I begin to head through the room the general stops me and says "Caidee Ligertwood, what do I owe this pleasure?"
"What do you wish for by talking to me general?"
"I wanted to ask you something"
"Which is?"
"Can I marry your friend? Nicolas? I was with him during the slaughter house, though he did try and kill me, hence the chains"
"If he wishes to that is on him though the wedding must be planned by me and my family since he belongs with us"
"Very well, your highness. We'll come to you in two months' time"
Well, I wasn't wanting that to happen.
"Depart, see you then, soon to be sister-in-law" at that I jump out of the window before Cherry catches me and we head home, mum will be happy.
