POV: Jayjay
I pushed my door open without thinking.
And then—
I stopped.
Keifer was standing there, towel wrapped around his waist, hair still wet, clearly in the middle of choosing what to wear.
For a second, my brain just… froze.
"…Oh."
He looked up, equally surprised.
"…Uh."
We stared at each other.
Then he cleared his throat.
"You know… knocking exists."
"I knocked," I said quickly. "You didn't answer."
"That's because I was—" he gestured vaguely at himself, "—busy surviving."
I rolled my eyes and turned away immediately.
"Why is my door even open?"
He shrugged.
"I thought everyone was downstairs."
I peeked again—just a little—and frowned.
"Why are you in this room?"
He glanced around.
"I don't know. I was just walking and this one caught my eye."
I looked at the door.
"The blue door?"
"Yeah."
"hex room door is more nice and boyish ."
He blinked.
"…Oh."
Silence.
Then he laughed.
"Well. That explains the posters."
I sighed.
"Why didn't you just use the guest rooms room?"
"Too far," he said casually.
I shook my head.
"You're unbelievable. Put on a shirt."
"I was about to."
"Before or after I walked in?"
He smirked.
"Depends."
I grabbed the phone on the bed to distract myself—big mistake.
He stepped closer to take it back, and somehow—
somehow—we both lost balance.
We fell onto the bed.
Not dramatically.
Just… awkwardly.
Right on top of the blankets.
Before either of us could say anything—
"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING?"
I shot upright.
Hex was standing at the door, eyes wide, mouth open.
Keifer sat up calmly.
"Relax. I was just telling Jayjay to leave so I could put on a shirt."
Hex squinted.
"…It didn't look like that."
I stood up fast, fixing my hair.
"It is not what it looks like."
Hex crossed his arms.
"Hm."
I pointed at Keifer.
"Put. On. Clothes."
Keifer chuckled but obeyed, grabbing a shirt.
Hex turned to me.
"You okay?"
"Yes," I said quickly. "Perfectly fine."
He stared at Keifer again.
Then leaned closer to me and whispered,
"…Next time, knock louder."
I groaned.
"Go downstairs."
Hex grinned and walked out.
I turned back once more.
"Five minutes. Then downstairs."
Keifer nodded, smiling slightly.
"Yes, boss."
I left the room, rubbing my temples.
This house is going to be the end of me
