Chapter 1 - The White That Swallowed Pain

Night had stretched over the city like a heavy shroud—no stars, no moon.

In a narrow, damp room, saturated with the stench of isolation and betrayal, the young man sat alone, staring at a cracked ceiling that looked like a map of his life… filled with fractures.

An Arab youth, Moroccan. His age didn't matter as much as the exhaustion in his eyes.

An exhaustion that did not belong to someone who had lived only a few years, but to one who had carried burdens heavier than his heart.

An orphan.

A short word… yet it had been a sword lodged in his chest since childhood.

A father who left too early.

A mother who followed him years later, leaving him alone in a merciless world.

From a young age, he learned not to wait for anyone, not to trust too much, and that pain… was the only companion that never betrayed him.

His life passed without clear meaning.

Studies without passion.

Work without hope.

Faces that passed by… then vanished, as if his existence left no trace.

That night, he was not thinking about suicide…

But about something more dangerous: complete indifference.

He sat on his bed, his back hunched, hands between his knees, eyes vacant.

"If I disappeared now… would anything change?"

He didn't finish the thought.

Suddenly—

Absolute silence.

The sound of cars vanished.

The hum of electricity disappeared.

Even the echo of his own breathing was gone.

Then—

White.

It was neither light nor darkness.

It was a white void, endless—no ground, no sky.

He felt his body being pulled, not violently, but with a terrifying gentleness.

When he tried to scream… no sound came out.

He opened his eyes.

And he was standing.

No—suspended… in the middle of the white nothingness.

His heart began to pound violently.

"Where am I?!"

Before panic could spread through his soul…

A panel appeared before him.

A transparent panel, as if made of pure glass, floating in the air, shimmering with strange symbols—yet… understandable.

Three large sections dominated the panel:

First Section: Race

Second Section: Talent

Third Section: World

Beneath each section was a single line:

Please choose carefully.

This decision cannot be undone.

He froze.

For the first time in years… he felt something different.

Not fear.

But opportunity.

His memories poured in like a flood:

Humiliation.

Poverty.

Betrayal.

Loneliness.

He clenched his teeth.

"If this is a dream… then I'll dream as far as I can."

He reached out toward the first section.

Race.

Countless options passed before him:

Human.

Elf.

Dwarf.

Demon.

Angel.

Then his gaze stopped.

Dragon.

Not a weak dragon.

But the symbol of absolute power, dominion, immortality—the being that bows to no one.

He smiled… a faint smile, for the first time in a long while.

"In my previous life… I was prey."

"In my next life… I will be the predator."

He chose Dragon.

The white void trembled for a moment, as if the world itself acknowledged the decision.

He moved to the second section.

Talent.

Terrifying abilities appeared:

Absolute control over time.

Infinite magic.

Divine luck.

But one thing seized his attention.

Infinite Evolution.

A talent that allowed him:

To learn at an unnatural speed.

To surpass limits.

To evolve without a ceiling.

To break the laws of the world over time.

"Power alone is not enough…"

"I want to grow… forever."

He chose it without hesitation.

The panel trembled again, and small text appeared beneath the section:

Warning:

Infinite evolution means infinite risk.

Either you become a legend… or you are erased.

He laughed softly.

"My previous life was a gamble with no reward."

"This time… at least I'll win, or die properly."

The final section.

World.

Dozens of worlds flashed before him, but his heart chose before his mind.

A fantasy world.

Magic and swords.

Demons and dragons.

Kingdoms, wars, countless races.

A world where nothing is given for free.

"A world that kills the weak… and forges legends."

He chose.

A moment of silence followed.

Then—

The panel shattered.

The white turned into a terrifying vortex.

A deep, inhuman voice echoed from every direction:

Selections confirmed.

Beginning reconstruction…

He felt his body being torn apart.

Bones breaking and being reforged.

A soul stripped of its humanity.

But he did not scream.

Instead, he said calmly:

"Farewell… cruel world."

"When I return… I will be a dragon."

Then—

He fell.
