The morning sun rose softly over Cambridge, the ancient stone of the university glowing gold beneath the first rays. Students rushed in the courtyard, holding book, laptops, and coffee cups. Cars hummed, bicycle passed, and chatter filled the air like a warm breeze.
But something across this historic campus, someone was already awake....
Someone small.
Someone chaotic.
Someone cute.
Someone impossible to ignore.
And someone else ---- tall, broad, powerful--- had been awake long before her.
Two world, two enemies, two extremes.
And they were about to collide.
Again.
Jay POV
My alarm range at 7:00 am.
I didn't move.
I just lay in my bed at the, staring at the ceiling.
"Jay... Wake up... " Mica groaned from the other bed.
"No" I replied, rolling myself into a blanket burrito.
Clara sat up, already brushing her hair perfectly.
Of course she was perfect at 7 am.
"Baby, we have a project meeting at 9" Clara stretched.
"Don't 'baby' me " I mumbled.
Only cece can baby me.
Mica threw a phone at me. "Wake up before I drag you to the shower".
I sat up suddenly, glaring at her.
" You wouldn't dare".
She smirked.
"Try me"
I sighed dramatically then slipped my out of bed.
After a long, slow shower, I stood in front of the mirror.
I put on :a White small top, hugging softly, a cream-colored shrug falling loosely over my arms.and light denim shorts with sneakers with pink bunny socks.
My strawberry lip gloss.
And my bunny backpack.
I tied my hair half -up with a White ribbon;my bangs framed my face perfectly.
When I stepped out of the bathroom----
Clara:"cute".
Mica:"annoyingly cute".
Jay:"thank you".
We left the room together and stepped into the hallway -----
---- and the boys room door opened opposite us.
The chaos began immediately.
"Good morning ladies", Luca greeted with chips in his mouth.
" It's 8 am! "I yelled. " How are you eating chips?! ".
Luca:" Breakfast of champions ".
Chris jumped out and screamed, " Boo! ".
I screamed louder.
Daniel caught Chris by the collar.
" Chris. No scaring Jay in the morning ".
Chris pouting like a scolded child.
Ethan waved quietly. " Morning ".
Liam gave a small nod. " Ready for today? ".
My heart had settled...
Until I remembered something.
Yesterday.
Cafeteria.
Tall guy.
Arrogant voice.
No apology.
I swear if I see him today-----
I shook my head and walked ahead, my bunny bag bouncing .
Today would be peaceful.
It had to be.
Right?
Keifer POV
I woke up at 8.
I always do.
I trained, showered, dressed.
Simple.
Black fitted shirt.
Grey cargos.
White shoes.
Hair slightly messy.
Classic keif.
I didn't plan on seeing her today.
Okay maybe I did.
I walked to campus earlier than usual, learning against a marble pillar near the architecture building.
Students waved at me.
"Morning, keif! "
"Captain! "
"Bro you coming to practice? "
I answered everyone casually.
But I was waiting.
Waiting for her.
And then.....
There she came.
Small.
Bright .
Cute.
Deadly.
Her bunny bag bouncing behind her.
Her white small top fit perfectly.
Her shorts made her look beven tinier.
And her bangs ----
God.
She didn't use wings ;she used bangs to kill.
I smirked instantly.
She didn't see me yet.
She shouldn't see me.
I should walk away.
But my legs didn't know move.
Author POV
Jay's group entered the courtyard, all talking loudly.
"Guys, we need blueprint. "
"Jay, you printed the draft right?"
"Luca, stop eating! "
" Chris, stop touching that fountain! "
"Ethan, speak louder! "
"Daniel, take responsibility of your children! "
They were chaotic.
Loud.
Colourful.
And then -----
Jay looked up.
Her eyes landed on a tall figure leaning casually against tha pillar.
Strong arms cross.
Half smirk on his face.
Black shirt hugging his body.
Her soul left her body.
She froze.
He didn't.
He pushed himself off the pillar walked toward her slowly.
Confident.
Dangerously handsome.
Like he owned the ground he stepped on.
Her group came behind her.
"Uh..... Jay! " Daniel whispered.
"Is that.... Is he coming toward you? " Mica said smirking.
"Oh my god the cafeteria guy! ".chris screamed.
Jay inhaled.
No. Not today.
But it was too late.
Keifer POV
I stopped in front of her.
" Morning, coffee girl. "
Her jaw dropped.
The group behind her:

Jay's POV
"Don't call me that! " I yelled.
My cheeks felt like fire.
He leaned slightly down, hands in pocket.
"Still mad? "
"Still annoying?" I shot black.
He grinned.
I hate that grin.
I hate it so much.
He tilted his head.
"New shoes?"
I glared "yes".
" Don't worry "he said casually.
" I'll try not to ruin this too".
I explored.
"You ---- you arrogant tall tower of rudeness! ".
Behind me my entire team whispereed:
" Tall tower ----"
"She roasted him "
"Bet he liked it".
" I think he's smiling. "
"Whyy he's smiling? ".
Because he was smiling.
And I hate that I noticed.
Author POV
Daniel stepped forward politely.
" Excuse me, uh... Tall guy, we have a project----"
"Keifer" He corrected, north taking his eyes off Jay.
Jay muttered, "keifer...? More like their... Of my peace. "
He chuckled, low.
Very low.
Jay flinched.
Why was this man's voice illegal?.
Keifer POV
"Try not to get mad today" I said.
"You look better smiling".
Her face went red.
Bright red.
" I don't smile to strangers", she snapped.
"Then get to know me".
She froze.
She didn't expect that.
Neither her group.
Clara: " Oh my god! "
Mica: "baby sissy got rizzed".
Chris: " He's flirting with her right now---"
Luca: "where's is popcorn".
Ethan: soft cough
Lima: " This is... Something ".
Daniel: " Kids. Behave. "
Jay turned around dramatically.
"Nope. I'm leaving".
She stromed off.
I followed.
Jay POV
I marched forward angrily.
Why is he behind.
Why is he following.
Why is he tall?
Why is he breathing?
Why does he smell good?!
I spun around.
" Stop following me! "
He stopped.
One step away.
"I wasn't" He said.
"You were literally behind me! "
"Coincidence".
"Lair"
"I'm honest"
"You're ----"
And then he leaned down again.
"Cute", he whispered.
My soul ascended.
Author POV
Jay froze.
Her friends froze.
The earth froze.
Keifer straightened up and walked away away casually. Hands in pocket, as if he didn't just drop a bomb on her.
Jay whispered to herself.
" God please remove this man from the planet".
But her heart whispered something else.
After that
Got it, love ---- same day, same scene, same timeline --- continuation of chapter 7 , not next day, not next chapter.
The eight students walked out of the design studio after their first long briefing. The sun outside Cambridge University was soft and warm, the air filled with quite chatter from students passing by.
Jay stretched her arms above her head, her pink shurg sliding a little down her shoulders.
Jay : "ufff... My brrain is fried like mica's burnt cookies.
Mica: " Hey! That was one mine! "
Clara :"it was three times, "
Chris : "and the third time the fire alarm went off ".
Jay burst out laughing into her adorable giggle, bangs bouncing.
Keifer, who was walking a little behind them with Daniel and luca, involuntarily glanced at her.
He didn't mean to.
He didn't even want to.
But her did.
Her laugh was tiny, soft... And annoyingly cute.
Inside the university courtyard
The group settled on a long wooden bench under a big oak tree
Daniel: "alright, we need to divide today's tasks. The professor want a preliminary concept sketch by tomorrow".
Liam : " I'm already visualizing something classical".
Clara : " Classical? This is Cambridge. Everything is classical ".
Ethen :" We can modernize the classical. Combine both ".
Jay nodded excitedly.
Jay : " Yes! Something clean but powerful. "
Keifer, arms crosssed leaned against the tree behind them. He wasn't part of their team, but he stayed near ---- pretending to be checking something on his phone.
He was listening.
He didn't know why.
He just was.
Jay glanced back and saw keifer. Their eyes met.
He didn't look away.
Jay : "why are you standing there like a tree guard? "
Keifer: "just standing. Is that now crime in your rulebook, princess? "
Jay mouth dropped slightly.
Jay : I'm not a princess. "
Keifer : "you look like one. Tiny. Annoyed. Expensive looking. "
Jay's cheeks puffed in irrigation.
Mica whispers to Clara : "omg he's flirting with her".
Clara whispers back : " He totally is. "
Jay heard them and glared.
Jay : "shut up! He is not".
Keifer raised an eyebrow, amused.
Keifer : " Relax. I'm not dying to flirt with you. "
Jay : "good.because I won't flirt back. "
Keifer : "you already are. "
Jay : "I am not! "
Keifer : "the way your face turns red says otherwise. "
Jay covered her face.
Luca giggled under his breath.
They moved to a campus workspace with tables.
Clara : "let's assign who sketches first".
Daniel : " Jay, you and liam start the structure concept. "
Chris : "I'll handle base layout".
Ethan : " I'll calculate measurements. "
Luca : "I'll get snacks".
Jay turned her little bunny backpack around and pulled her tablet out.
She sat down, legs dangling because the chair was slightly high for her height.
Keifer noticed. He shouldn't have.
But he did.
Keifer : " Want me to get you a smaller chair?"
Jay froze.
Jay : I ---- I don't need ---- I'm fine".
She was not fine.
Her legs were swinging like a child on a playground.
Keifer chuckled.
Jay kicked the air at him.
Jay focused deeply on sketching arches, shading texture.
Liam : "beautiful strokes. "
Jay : "thanks.... I think roof needs a little slope... Here. "
Liam : "agreed.add that curve. "
Keifer leaned slightly forward, watching.
Jay turned.
Jay : " Why are you staring at me? "
Keifer : "I'm staring at your drawing. "
Jay : " Then stand behind Liam. "
Keifer : " But you are more entertaining. "
Jay gasped dramatically.
Mica nearly fell laughing.
Mica : " Oh my god, Jay, he's obsessed with you. "
Jay threw her pen.
Jay : " Shut up to, mica! "
Keifer smirked again, enjoying every bit of her fluster.
Luca returned with chips, cookies, and juice.
Luca : " Snacks! But first... Jay get to choose"
Jay : " Why me?! "
Luca : " Because you're the smallest "
Jay : " Excuse me ----! "
Chris : " He means cutest "
Jay turned red again,
Keifer watched silently... But something in his chest tightened.
He didn't like other boys calling her cute.
He frowned immediately.
Keifer (to himself) : " What the hell I'm thinking? "
Jay grabbed tthe cookies and juice, sitting on the table with her legs folded.
Jay : " Back to work ".
Evening ---- they finish late
By the time the sun began to set, the group completed half of the concept.
Daniel : " Good job team. Tomorrow we finalize. "
Jay brushed her bangs aside, tired but glowing.
She stood up --- but tripped over her own shoelace.
Keifer, who was right behind her, caught her wrist before she fell.
Jay froze.
Keifer froze.
Everyone froze.
Jay : " You... Caught me. "
Keifer : " Because you're too small to fall from that height. "
Jay : " Stop calling me small. "
Keifer : " Then stop almost falling. "
Jay : " I didn't! "
Keifer : " You did. "
Jay : " No! "
They kept arguing nose-to-nose.
The group whispered behind them.
Mica : " They're gonna fall in love. "
Clara : " They already are ".
Jay and keifer both heard it ---- and instantly moved away from each other like magnets repelling.
