Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Hot-Blooded Idiot Meets Cold-Faced Coach

Aj was doing training on the field, his face showing a hint of pain as he rubbed his stomach. Basically, all the first-year students were in the same state.

Unlike the training intensity in junior high (even basic physical training was so difficult to bear), coupled with the enormous food intake, all the first-year students were miserable. Aj was one of the best among them.

He couldn't compare in other aspects, but in this regard, it was his only strength. Even so, he still couldn't compare to the relaxed second and third-year Senpai.

"Alright, first-years, put on your cleats and head to Field B for fielding tests!" At this moment, an instructor on the field shouted loudly with full vigor.

Generally speaking, in a renowned Baseball academy like Seido, almost all the Baseball club's facilities are highly specialized, whether it's in terms of equipment, fields, or personnel.

These personnel are specifically responsible for guiding, or rather, assisting students with their training.

"Yes!" After hearing this, the first-year students all smiled happily and rushed to change their shoes and run towards Field B. As Aj was leaving, he suddenly heard a cold shout.

"Where are you going, Sawamura Eijun!"

Aj was slightly startled. He turned his head and saw Sawamura standing behind Kataoka with a bewildered expression. Aj patted his forehead. Indeed, it seemed there was such a scene. That idiotic guy's second time—oh, no, this should be the first time he provoked the Coach.

Hmm, his words were hot-blooded and enthusiastic, but... very naive.

When a hot-blooded idiot meets a cold-blooded demon, that scene, to describe it in one word, is magnificent!

Aj shook his head slightly and walked away. What would happen next, even if he didn't know the original plot, just based on his understanding of Sawamura's personality, Aj knew clearly with his toes what the development would be.

After all, a simple guy, in certain situations... ahem... well, no need to say more about the ending, everyone knows.

When Aj arrived at Field B, almost all the first-year students were already taking their tests in order. Generally, they tested according to the position the student desired. Of course, this was just a test, serving as reference data, not a fixed value.

Since Aj didn't have a most desired position, he naturally asked the testing personnel if he could take multiple tests. After a surprised look, the testing personnel silently nodded.

Aj began his first test at Seido, and his first test in his life, to find his most suitable fielding position!

The test content was nothing more than batting, throwing and catching, base running, etc. These are all conditions that a fielder should possess.

Infield and outfield also have different emphases for fielders.

After all the tests, Aj looked at his hands somewhat dazedly. Well, to describe it in one word: "terrible!" Because of this, the surrounding first-year students were looking at Aj with very surprised eyes.

Of course, it wasn't that everything was terrible, but rather, his throwing and base running were too terrible.

His throwing had almost no accuracy, like someone who had just started playing Baseball. Was this the guy who declared he wanted to try all positions?

And his base running? His speed seemed okay, and his movements looked decent, but in the eyes of professionals, he was completely an amateur. Of course, compared to professional players, even in Japan, high school Baseball players are quite amateur. It's just that Aj's base running was even more amateur than these amateurs.

You can imagine what that scene was like.

Therefore, in the eyes of that group, Aj simply didn't take Baseball seriously, did he? If it weren't for his subsequent batting and catching somewhat salvaging his impression, the testing personnel would have suspected Aj was joking.

When batting, Aj's stance was very stable, and his body had a center of gravity. Since it was just pitching practice, nothing much could be seen, but at least, he had the basics. Secondly, for catching, whether it was infield or outfield fielding, Aj could basically catch all the routinely hit fly balls.

This surprised both the first-years and the testing personnel.

Undoubtedly, Aj was the only one among them who didn't make any errors in catching. For this, Aj had a little secret. He didn't know why, perhaps it was the time traveler's (transmigrator's) benefit?

After coming to this world and growing up, Aj discovered that his dynamic vision was exceptionally good. To be precise, it was as if moving objects were slowed down in Aj's eyes.

Aj could capture the trajectory of moving objects faster than ordinary people!

This was also the source of Aj's confidence! Baseball has two major areas: offense and defense! In these two aspects, naturally good dynamic vision could undoubtedly add many points to Aj.

Whether it was a ball thrown by a Pitcher or a ball hit by a batter, Aj could always quickly capture its trajectory. Seeing it doesn't necessarily mean being able to catch it or hit it.

But compared to ordinary people, isn't it a very good advantage?

After leaving the Field B test, Aj clenched his fists tightly. He knew what he should do next. Today made him clearly realize the gap, or rather, where the shortcomings were.

"That idiot really seems to have angered the Coach."

"Exactly, he deserves it. Who told that kid to be so arrogant."

"Yeah, he's comparable to that Filipino kid."

When Aj finished his test, he happened to pass by a certain place and heard these discussions, which made Aj's steps pause slightly, but his expression didn't change.

"What's wrong? Do you care about those guys' comments?" At this moment, a slightly teasing voice came from beside him, and an arm wrapped around Aj's neck as Miyuki said with a laugh.

Aj knew who it was without turning his head.

"Miyuki-senpai, how was running all morning? I had a really hard time this morning, and you couldn't even get up." Aj said with a faint smile, but his words didn't directly answer Miyuki's question.

"Ah haha, I'm used to that. Besides, what's a little running?" Miyuki laughed loudly and said.

"By the way, how were your test results?" Although Aj didn't answer Miyuki's question just now, not answering itself was an attitude. Even though they hadn't interacted much, Miyuki still had a very good first impression of this junior from Philippines in the dormitory.

Hmm, he's a fun guy to play with, just like that naive guy, only the fun parts are different, aren't they?

"Hmm, very beneficial." Aj pondered for a moment, a faint smile on his face, and said to Miyuki. Miyuki was slightly stunned, seemingly not expecting such an answer from Aj.

"Haha!" Miyuki immediately burst into laughter. Indeed! This guy is indeed an interesting fellow!

Miyuki seemed to foresee an interesting life in the future!
