"Cheers," Mr. Thompson James raised his glass of champagne to toast with the other members of his family.
Glasses clinked, and Mrs. Thompson smiled. "Our family has been blessed. This is the biggest contract you've ever won."
"You are right, dear. It cost millions of dollars," Mr. Thompson added, taking a sip of his champagne, his eyes brimming with pride.
"Wow! Really?" Arianna asked curiously.
"Yes," Mr. Thompson affirmed.
"Cool!" Arianna exclaimed as she turned to her brother. "Johnson, I am going to shut down my graduation ceremony. Because I am arriving in a million-dollar Rose Royce."
Johnson chuckled slightly. "That's my sister."
Arianna stood up. "You would drive that day, and you would park exactly at the graduation ground."
"Good, tell me more, sis," Johnson encouraged, showing interest.
"Then you would open the door for me, and I get down. Let me show you how I will walk."
Arianna stood straight, flickered her hair to the side. Her gaze immediately became sassy, and she catwalked round the big sittingroom. Her steps were steady, like a model walking down the red carpet.
Johnson whistled while their parents clapped. "That's my girl."
She stopped right before them, her hand raised arrogantly. "I am Arianna, the last daughter of the Thompson family." She rolled her eyes dramatically. "Clock it."
Her parents laughed amidst their claps, while Johnson shouted, "Show them who the queen is, girl!"
Everyone burst into laughter, and the doorbell rang.
A maid rushed in. "Miss, the delivery guy is here to deliver your graduation dress."
Arianna shot up from her seat. "I'll go get it!"
Her parents shook their heads. "She is so anxious about the graduation."
"What do you expect? She is graduating as one of the best students," Johnson said, picking up a cookie and casually nibbling on it.
Outside, Arianna realized it was raining heavily. The maid handed her an umbrella. "Here, miss."
Arianna didn't delay. Covering herself with the umbrella, she ran to the gate.
She received her dress from the delivery guy and thanked him.
Looking at the box, she noticed "Chanel" written on it. "Gosh, that day is going to be super," she muttered to herself.
As she moved to close the gate, lightning struck. The impact was enormous, and Arianna hit the gate.
"Jeez!" she screamed in fear.
When she looked back, she saw their mansion crumbling. Arianna felt her soul leave her at that moment.
She stood frozen. Its felt like a dream. The window shattered on the floor and a tear escaped her eye. She muttered slowly, "Mom."
It was like a wake-up call, and she immediately started running, but the gatekeeper held her back. "Miss, you can't go. It's dangerous!"
Arianna wasn't having it. "Let me go! My mom, Johnson is still inside—my whole family!"Her heart was bleeding in agony.
She screamed at the top of her voice. She wailed, she cried, she sobbed. But in the end, she could only watch the home that brought joy go down. With her family still trapped inside.
