Stirring in his sleep, Mika slowly woke up looking at an unfamiliar ceiling.
Mika asked himself, "W-Where am I? Mom? Dad?"
He slowly sat and looked around and saw the Stake Driver and the Gourd on the table across the bed. Feeling the cool metal around his neck, he breathed a sigh of relief but in doing so, he noticed he wasn't wearing the same outfit he wore when he was heading back home from the convention.
Recalling the trip back home, he panicked and thought, "I-I was dead! How am I alive? And where am I?"
Mika heard a Ding!
He looked around, "What was that?"
Another Ding! sounded but it was more clearer before his consciousness went blank and his body once again fell down on the bed.
Before long, his consciousness went back to the same area when he first came through the world.
[Welcome Traveler]
Mika looked around and asked, "W-Where is this?!"
[You are currently in the System Space, Traveler]
That voice once again cut through the whole space and in bewilderment, asked one important question, "You're a system?! So t-that means I'm no longer in my world?"
[Correct, Traveler]
The cold response from the system shook Mika's very core. To think that he came to another world is only those authors in isekai novels can draft up, but here he is living that same experience.
Mika asked, "Why am I here?"
[You were simply chosen, Traveler. There were plenty of others in your world that had been chosen but they all simply died off due to arrogance or overconfidence]
Mika asked again, "W-Wait?! I thought I died during that earthquake. And how am I okay?"
[You were simply teleported away on the brink of your death. You were in an emergency situation and used your Complimentary Newbie Gatcha Roll in the chance to keep you alive, Traveler]
Mika was confused, "Gatcha? Like those rolls on Genshin Impact?"
[Correct, Traveler]
Mika thought about his life being saved by the system and looked at his hands. His eyes widened at his hands to see them more slender and smooth than before he was teleported. He didn't notice before but now that he did, he looked down at his body to see it was different.
Mika shouted, "What happened to my body?!!"

Mika hurriedly found the STATUS bar and clicked on it—

Clicking on the [Golden Rule (Body)] skill, his eyes lingered on the description and twitched for a moment. He saw the warning label at the bottom and finally figured out his body's situation. He turned into a femboy. Something he usually sees in conventions or anime and now he's one.
Mika touched his soft face and then patted his body. He opened his pants and sighs a breath of relief to see his size down there is still the same. Little did he know that his newfound skill endowed him with a larger size and immunity against sex-related diseases.
Upon accepting his new body, Mika again asked the system, "Either way, thank you for saving my life."
[You are welcome, Traveler]
Mika continued, "Then which world am I in?"
[You are currently in the world of Assassin's Creed. Your location is currently in Monteriggioni, Tuscany–1973]
Mika exclaimed, "Assassin's Creed?!! This is a very dangerous world. And I'm already in Monteriggioni. This is—putting me immediately in Hard difficulty."
He continued to ask, "Is there a reason why I was brought to this world?"
[Affirmative. There is a World Mission for every new world you cross over. There will be Side Missions when you come across one. The rewards for completing missions are Gacha Rolls]
[There will be three wheels to spin for each Gacha Roll–Series, Categories, Specifics. The first is the Series, which will indicate from what world it will proceed from. The second is the Categories, of which kind of reward you will receive. The last is the Specifics, which is the reward itself]
[Everything is completely random from the Gacha Rolls, where you can get powers like a God or to a roll of toilet paper]
Mika's face twitched at the explanation, "Thank you for explaining. So what is the World Mission for this world?"

Time left till next crossover: 1 Year after collecting the first Isu Artifact
Mika thought for a moment, "Well that's gonna be a pain. There were only a handful of Isu artifacts I remember but most of them are inaccessible. There's the Apple of Eden that Ezio will recover in the future. As well as the Papal Staff used by the Pope in Rome. At the very least, I have some direction on where some are located."
Mika knew that he needed to change whether he liked it or not to survive in this new world. But that would be a gradual change over time, at the very least he has the time for it.
Mika finally asked, "How do I get out of this space?"
[Simply imagine yourself exiting this space, Traveler. You may re-enter when you need to redeem a Gacha Roll or to leave for the next world]
Mika did exactly that and slowly disappeared out of the system space. He faintly heard the system say–
[Safe travels, Traveler]
Mika slowly opened his eyes once again and slowly got up. He walked towards the window and opened to see the city of Monteriggioni in its entirety. The sun had already risen to midday. Looking down at his new clothes, he ought to thank the person who saved him.
Surely enough, the door opened behind him as he saw a strong-built looking man with a scar over his left eye. It appeared to be blind since it was clouded. He was wearing a noble's outfit that is consistent with the times.
Mika concluded that this person was Mario Auditore, the leader of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins.
Mario looked towards the now-awake teenager, who was gazing back at him. To say that he was handsome for his age is outstanding, rivaling his brother's kids. Plus his Eastern feature will deem him exotic by the locals.
Mario greeted in Italian, "Looks like you're up, boy. From the way you dressed, it looked like you had a hard time before we found you."
Mika, hearing Italian, quickly replied, "I don't remember how I got here. The last thing I remember was suddenly passing out."
Mario listened to his answer with skepticism. His years as being the leader of the Italian Brotherhood knows that this boy was hiding something but it wasn't too serious. He doubts that this kid will bring him any danger.
Mario asked, "So who are you boy? From that necklace, you know who we are. What's your name and where are you from?"
Mika introduced himself, "My name is Mikazuki Fujiwara. But you can call me Mika for short."
Mika's mind was brainstorming like a storm to think of a story to convince Mario. He told the story of him traveling from the East to Italy. Due to his grandfather being Italian and his many stories from his homeland, gave him an excuse to head here and experience it firsthand. He also told Mario that it was his grandfather who gave the necklace to him and kept it safe. He only briefly told him to either go to Tuscany if he ever needed help.
Mario listened to his story and after much thought, he decided to reluctantly accept him for now but he'll have someone keep an eye on him.
Mario patted Mika's shoulder, "Well young Mika, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Mario Auditore. I am the Lord of Monteriggioni and from the way your grandfather told you to come here and gave you that necklace, I'm also inclined to train you in our ways. Would you like to train here?"
Mika nodded, "I would like to, Mr. Auditore. I don't want to encounter such danger without a way to protect myself again."
Mario laughed heartily, "Good. Good boy. I'll be sure to train you up well. No need to call me Mr. Auditore. Just call me Mario. You can reserve the "Mr. Auditore" talk to my brother. I'll arrange for your training in a few days. For now, enjoy what Monteriggioni has to offer."
Mika smiled as he and Mario talked a few more moments before Mario left to tend to his own business. Mario will send word to see if Mika's story is true or mostly true.
Now that Mario has left, Mika finally calmed himself down. Though his story seems a bit forced, it did provide him a bit of leeway and the only thing to do is to prepare himself for the future.
Touching his necklace, Mika looked at the city below, "I guess my new life starts now."
