The bronze door vanished. Yu Ai stood amid shattered marble and scorched stone, those late-autumn eyes reflecting the massive Demon God Pillar ahead.
He inhaled—smoke, dust, sulfur flooding his lungs—and leaned forward, weight dropping as if to advance.

A dull crash came from above. A huge broken stone beam fell.
Dust exploded outward. Rubble flew.
The beam landed squarely on Yu Ai, burying him completely, leaving only the outline of the beam's edge sticking up on the charred floor.

Mash's pupils shrank. She slammed her shield into the ground. "Take cover! Pseudo-Noble Phantasm, deploy—'Foundation of Humanity'!"

A luminous barrier expanded, barely holding the flood of black smoke. It creaked under the strain.
Under Mash's protection, Ritsuka shouted toward where Yu Ai was buried. "Mr. Yu Ai! Are you okay?! Answer me!"
The walls groaned; the floor split.
Under that destructive force, the heavy stone beam shattered instantly into fragments.
Smoke, fire, and rubble churned into chaos—then a figure stood clearly at its center.
Yu Ai was simply standing there, completely intact.
The blue-and-white striped hospital gown he'd come with—under a magical torrent and blast shock that could tear steel and melt rock—didn't have a single rip.
"Perfect—big help!"
He even brushed his sleeves and hem like he'd only gotten dusty.
"I-Impossible—!" Flauros shrieked, eyes locked on the tiny human.

Walls shredded like rotten wood. The ground was gouged into trenches.
But when the power touched Yu Ai's body, it was like a red-hot iron plunged into an icy deep pool, like torrential rain striking ancient stone.
The black miasma dispersed without a sound the instant it met his skin.
No matter how it surged, how it changed form, how it condensed power—nothing harmed him.
Jeanne, Ritsuka, and Mash stared, dumbfounded.
Flauros had used the Holy Grail to become a Demon God Pillar, attacks strong enough to wipe them out—but against Yu Ai, they were nullified as if erased.
Jeanne frowned. "Is it anti-magic? No… this surpasses anti-magic. And the Demon God Pillar's attack isn't something 'magecraft' alone can describe."
Mash blinked, stunned. "Incredible… he has no shield, but he can withstand that level of assault."
Ritsuka finally exhaled in relief.
