Chapter 8 - Chapter Eight:

Alicia waited patiently at the train station, her grandparents called her yesterday and informed her that they would be arriving today by train.

They were supposed to arrive by four PM , but due to some delays they would be arriving by five PM. So Alicia has to wait for an hour before they would arrive.

She decided to play with her phone as she waited, then she remembered Mr Thompson was in Country S and she had to tell Tazamun about it.

She went to the messaging app and saw the message Tazamun had sent earlier and told her about Mr Thompson. She hit the send button and waited for a reply.

Tazamun replied telling her not to worry that he wasn't a bad guy and that she Malika and Malik would be arriving three days from now. That is two days to her graduation and Alicia was really happy that they would come all that way for her graduation, even if they had other things to attend to they still considered her graduation.

Alicia breathed a sigh of relief and waited patiently for her grandparents, it's been a while since she last saw them an could not wait to see them.

She walked around for a while before coming back to sit at the arrivals waiting area along with some other people.

She sat quietly and saw a lady passing by, the lady wore a tight revealing short gown and a furry cost. The lady reminded Alicia of the people she met in Qasira. The lady looked like she is waiting for someone.

Is she a vampire? Alicia questioned herself, cause the woman looked so much like the women in Qasira.

The woman came and sat down close to Alicia checking her wrist watch almost every minute.

Alicia was fidgety and mistakenly stepped on her.

"I am so sorry. Hope you didn't get hurt." Alicia apologized and asked immediately.

"I am fine." The woman said not even sparing Alicia a glance.

So haughty, Alicia taught to herself and the woman turned to her as if she had read Alicia's thoughts.

Alicia looked up and they started at each other for what seemed like hours before the announcement of the arrival train coming from S city came through the speakers.

And Alicia stood up and went to welcome her grandparents.

She saw the coming out of the train and ran towards them.

"Grandma, grandpa. She said giving them hugs in turn."

"Alicia daring, you look more beautiful than ever." Her grandpa said looking at her with a wide smile.

"Our little girl is about to be a surgeon. I am so proud of you darling." Her grandma said.

"I missed you so much. We have a lot to talk about." Alicia said helping them with a few of their luggage and they all headed towards the taxi Alicia had pre-arranged.

The woman whom Alicia had stepped on accidentally also started to move towards the taxi park and she saw Alicia and her family entering a taxi. Alicia also happened to look up at that time and met her gaze. The woman gave Alicia an unsettling feeling and they had barely exchanged more than thirteen words and the atmosphere is already this awkward. Alicia entered the taxi and the car drove off.

Meanwhile the woman dialed a number and the person on the other end answered.

"Zamhar, I have been waiting for you. I arrived an hour ago." The woman said in a coquettish voice.

"I don't remember calling you over nor did you tell me you were coming. So you should find your way." Zamhar replied in an icy tone that made people unable to respond further and hung up.

The woman stared at the phone and her hands tightened around it, she called over a taxi and entered.

"Where to ma'am?" The driver asked.

"Hill view estate." She replied coldly a complete contrast to the earlier coquettish voice that spoke on the phone.

Alicia took her parents to the hotel she had reserved for them. She has to reserve in advance because a lot of family members would be attending the graduation and the hotels around the area would be fully booked. So she had booked earlier at a little extra cost.

She checked in and took her grandparents to their room.

"Welcome." Alicia said as they entered the room.

"You didn't have to book such an expensive room." Alicia's grandma said as she saw the facilities in the room.

"Don't worry grandma, it's nothing." Alicia replied arranging some of their things into the large wardrobe.

"Where did you get the money?" Her grandpa asked taking a seat on one of the sofa's.

"I robbed a bank with some of my friends last week and we got a lot of money from it." Alicia satin a serious tone.

"What." Her grandparents screamed simultaneously.

Alicia burst out laughing, "I was just joking." She said amidst laughter.

"You silly girl." Her grandma said and threw a pillow at her.

"Where's Emily?" Her grandpa asked.

"Her aunt and uncle are also arriving today, she went to the airport to pick them up. She will come with me to see you tomorrow." Alicia answered and stood up to leave.

"Okay. Leaving already." Her grandma said.

"Yes. You guys need to freshen up and get some rest. The next few days are gonna be hectic. Good night love you." Alicia said and exited the room gently closing the door behind her.

Hill view estate.

Zamhar sat in his study going through some documents and signing some while underlining some clauses in the others.

He heard a knock on the door and the door opened without looking up, "where are you coming from?" He asked.

Xavier walked in and sat across him, "I was in the house by the lake. I needed some peace and quiet." He replied.

Zamhar looked up and seized him up and said, "peace and quiet to think about the next trouble you're going to cause."

"Come on brother am not that bad." Xavier said picking up and apple from the table and taking a bite.

Mrs Luo walked in, "young master, madam Yvette is here." She said her head down.

"Bring her up." Zamhar said still going through the documents.

"Some people don't know when to stop trying." Xavier said and got up to leave.

As he opened the door he saw Yvette, greeted her and walked to his room.

Yvette walked in and sat on the chair Xavier stood up from.

"Good evening Zamhar." Yvette greeted in that coquettish voice of hers.

"Hmm." Zamhar hummed a response.

"I was passing by and decided to pay my friend a visit." She said looking at him intently.

"You should not have come here. I don't remember having friends." Zamhar replied still not looking up.

Yvette not minding his cold tune continued, "The one has been found. She's here. I heard she goes to S university and would be graduating soon." She said.

"Well, it seems you know a lot. Why don't Mrs Luo show you your room and you can continue your research." Zamhar said and told Mrs Luo to show her to her room.

As she was about to close the door Zamhar spoke, "one more thing, I only allowed you to stay because of the relationship I have with your dad. I want you out of my house f

irst thing tomorrow."

Yvette closed the door and her fists clenched beside her as she followed Mrs Luo to the room.
