A boy fell on the tatami floors from the impact of another kid's kick. The kid was Nozaki one of the best fighter's at the dojo and most kid's were afraid to make eye contact with him.
No one cheered for his victory but you stared at him amazed by his talent. The kid wasn't even a background character but he sure had some skill, you were definitely going to recruit him into Toman.
"Y/n and Nozaki." The middle aged sensei announced the next pair. And you proudly stood up from your spot and walked up to the brunette. You both bowed to the teacher then each other and your sensei signaled for the fight to start by bowing his head.
You dropped into a fighting stance and the brunette didn't waste much time, he swung his foot towards your head but you ducked your head and before he could recollect himself you lunged forward and landed you first punch on his stomach causing the young fella to stumble back.
But you weren't done, you spun on your right foot and connected your left foot with his face and now he was the one rolling on the tatami floors letting out quiet sobs, rubbing the spot you had just hit him.
Nozaki really was one of the best fighters but compared to you, he was nothing. Everyone knew the outcome of the fight that's why they didn't even bother cheering for his victory.
"Y/n, is too strong it's not even fun anymore"
"Seriously man"
"I don't think she's even human"
You ignored their comments and stretched out your hand to the brunette giving him a closed-eyed grin and his light blue eye's had sparkled in them as they all thought the same thing.
'SHE'S SO DARN COOL'
He took your hand and you helped him get up to his feet, "Seriously how do you do that?" He asked rubbing his throbbing cheek and you let out a soft chuckle using your pointer finger to scratch your cheek. "I honestly don't know, I used to watch you fight guys fight and I learnt a lot," you answered as you both took your designated seats on the sidelines so the next pair could battle.
"Sometimes it really feels like your out to kill me," he whined still rubbing his swollen cheek. You gently carresed your finger on the red swollen spot and he squirmed from the pain,"Sorry I didn't really mean for it to be that strong" you apologized.
"Sensei Nozaki, needs first aid" you told him and he silently nodded, you got up from your seat dragging the boy to the infirmary.
There was a nurse in the room applying some ointment on another kid that Nozaki hurt. "What happened this time?" She asked sending the other kid off and the brunette took the spot where the other one was seating.
"His cheek is hurting badly," you replied seating on a chair placed next to the door as the nurse started working her magic."I don't know why you kid's do this stuff if you keep getting hurt,"she frowned placing a bandage on his cheek and the young boy smiled "because it's fun."
"You call getting beaten up fun?"The nurse asked stretching his other cheek and the young boy wailed from the pain. "Y/n why do you do it?"she directed your attention to you finally letting go Nozaki's burning red cheek.
You smiled softly as images of your family, Emma, Yukio, Manjiro and Shinichiro flashed in your head. "I'm doing this so that I can learn protect the ones I hold dear." The two people had to squint their eyes due to the brightness of your smile and aura, it really was blinding.

You opened your phone to see several messages of Emma asking you to come over to her house after karate and you wondered why she requested your presence but you still made your way to her house.
"LUNA-CHAN WHERE ARE YOU?"
You stopped in your tracks, near the park where you and Manjiro had chatted for a long time to see a boy with lilac hair frantically looking for something and you quickly recognized him as Takashi Mitsuya.
He had a baby carrier on and little sister was quietly sucking her thumb with an unbothered expression as her brother screamed his lungs out for his other sister.
'It's not my problem. It's best to ignore them' you thought as you continued walking. 'BUT WHY AM I WALKING TOWARDS HIM.' "Hey," you started by tapping his shoulder and the boy turned to look at you with worry evident in his beautiful lavender eyes. "Uhm do you need help?"
You were shocked to see tears bubbling up in his lavender eyes like he had realized how bad their situation really was.
"I...can't find...my sister" he croaked out, you could sense the guilt and worry in his voice. You patted his back, "I'll help you find your sister" you declared rubbing the bridge of your nose with a smirk. "But then you'll owe me takoyaki in return."
He pursed his lips, trying his best to keep his tears from falling. He didn't want Mana to start crying too and he was gonna try his best to be calm for both his sisters."What does she look like?" You questioned.
"Pink hair tied into pigtails. She is wearing a bright a flowery yellow dress, white leggings and blue flip-flop," he replied. You pulled out your flip phone, "it's 17:13. Take the west side of the neighborhood and I'll take east. We meet here by 18:30" you explained your plan.
"Divide and conquer. You understand?"You asked giving him a reassuring smile and he nodded. "I promise we will find your sister."

It was starting to get dark and you still hadn't found the little, you were seriously exhausted. Karate always left you with muscle pains no wonder Emma had invited you to her house, she probably wanted to relieve you of your pain.
"LUNA-CHAN" you yelled out her name hoping she would hear you as you turned another corner and you hoped Luna was not in the wrong neighborhood owned by some gang.
It was low and it still managed to reach your ears, the soft sniffles made you stop in your tracks. The person crying sounded so scared and you started following the muffled cries and they just kept getting louder.
The person's cries had led you infront of a wall,you struggled to climb up the wall and you put your leg over the wall. After that hardwork you were finally sitting on top of the wall scanning the place, it was a backyard. There was a chain that connected all the way to the darkside of the backyard which really creeped you out.
"Luna-chan?"You called out to the girl that was crying in the corner, she was hugging her knees letting out quiet sobs. Just like Mitsuya had described a bright yellow dress, white leggings and blue flip-flops.
The girl lightly raised her head from her knees to see the person calling her name and saw a girl the same age as her brother sitting on top of the wall. "Your brother is looking for you," you said jumping down from the wall and carefully making your way to Luna as not to alert her.
Her bright pink eye's widened at the mention of her brother, she really missed her brother and her little sister just as you got to closer to her she started wailing chunks of tears rolling down her cheeks causing you to flinch.
'I was never good with kids, please stop crying. PLEASE STOP CRYING' you internally screamed as you crouched down infront of the little girl. 'What would Mitsuya do in this situation?'
You pulling her in for a hug,one hand on the back of her head and the other around her back. She rested her head on the crook of your neck as her cries got louder. "There there it's okay,"you reassured gently patting her back. "You don't have to be scared anymore, I'm here."
She relaxed in your hold. Both of you stayed like that for about fifteen minutes until her tears seized leaving her eyes all puffy and swollen. You smiled at how cute she looked after crying.
She was in bad shape, her leggings were torn revealing a bunch of exposed bruises on her legs. Her right flip-flop was missing and her dress was tattered. "So care to tell me what happened?"You smiled at the girl as not to frighten her.
She quietly pointed at the darkside of the backyard shaking in fear,"the big doggy attacked me and stole my shoe," she mumbled out. And you were both startled by the low growls coming from the otherside. The big muscular dog stepped out of the shadows and your mouth fell open.
'IT'S A FUCKING PITBULL. HOLY FUCKING SMOKES WE'RE GONNA DIE'
Luna dug her fingers into you arm and you tried your best to remain calm as the dog started barking and ran towards you, you quickly shielded Luna using your body and shut your eyes close.
You waited for the attack but it never came and you slowly opened your eyes and almost passed out to see the dog barking loudly an inch away from your face. "Go away!"the pink haired girl shouted clutching on your arm completely terrified of the dog. "You big meanie!"
You regained your composure and glanced around the backyard for anything you could possibly use, your eyes landed on a metal rod and you had an idea. "Luna-chan, it won't be long before the big doggy breaks out the chains" you whispered into her ear. "So I want you to run as fast as you can and use the front gate."
Her grip on your arm got tighter,"what about you?"
"I'll keep the dog busy" you replied. "I'll meet you behind that wall" you referred to the wall you had climbed over and the little girl nodded reluctantly and freed your hand. You curled your hand into a fist and jammed it on the dog's jaw sending it flying back to the ground.
Luna took her chance and darted to the path beside the house and the dog tried to go after her but you appeared infront of it and locked another fist on it's jaw and rolled on your back grabbing the metal rod from the ground. Now it was just the two of you and you ran to the wall you had originally entered from but to your horror you heard the chain snap as the dog chased after you.
"Crap" you cursed underneath as the large dog pounced on you from behind and you turned around just in time. You fell on your back with a thud and horizontally shoved the rod in it's mouth to keep it from finishing you off. You struggled against the dog's strength trying your best to shove it away.
Your eyes widened when you saw Luna running back in, she threw her other shoe at the dog and it certainly caught it's attention. Taking advantage of it's distracted state you used both your feet to kick the dog in it's stomach causing it to fly away.
You quickly got up to your feet and sprinted towards Luna and threw her over your shoulder like a bag of potatoes and ran away before the dog could get up.
After a few more houses you set the little girl down and examined her feet, they looked so swollen. You kneeled infront of her, she climbed up on your back and wrapped her hands around your neck.
"So how did you end up there?" You asked as you began walking back to the playground to meet up with
On your way back she told you about how she saw a pretty butterfly and how she followed it all the way to the other side of the neighborhood and then she lost but that was when she realized she was lost as well. She was wondering around the neighborhood terrified and then she climbed over the wall because she heard some whimpering and she wanted to help.
But she had been sadly tricked by the dog and it attacked her and luckily she managed to make it to the otherside but she was trapped.
"LUNA-CHAN" Mitsuya exclaimed seeing the two of you trudging his way, tears welled up in his eyes. "ONI-CHAN" Luna cried getting off your back and she ran into his arms. It was a heartwarming scene to watch as the three siblings hugged each other.
Mitsuya really thought you had given up and went away he really didn't expect to actually help him. He really was happy to have both his siblings back.
You really didn't want to disturb the reunion so you started quietly walking away but Luna caught you in the act. "Nee-san," she called out to you pulling back from the hug, she had cried for the fourth time that day. "Where are you going?"she asked rubbing her eyes.
You sheepishly grinned rubbing the back of your neck "I didn't really want to disturb your moment," you admitted.
To your surprise the little girl held onto your leg and pouted "nii-chan can she come over?"
"Is it alright with you?"he asked patting his little sisters hair, you kneeled down and like before Luna crawled up your back. "Of course it's okay besides you need help carrying her," you answered.
You all made way to his house which was oddly in the same direction as yours. "Nee-san is so cool, she fought a dog for me" the pink haired girl boasted as her big brother looked at you a bit shocked.
"Really?"he smiled.
"Yes! She kicked in the stomach and it went flying away"
"Well that's only because you distracted it so the real hero is you Luna-chan" you chimed in and you weren't lying if it weren't for her you would already be dead.
"But you were the one that tried to sacrifice themselve for me so you're the real hero,"she replied pouting her lip which you weren't able to see.
"Yeah but I was gonna die if you didn't show up when you did."
"No you were."
"I'm pretty sure it was you."
Before the argument could escalate about who the real hero was Mitsuya burst out laughing at how childish your argument was and you were stunned.
"What's so funny about getting attacked by a dog?"You deadpanned. And the young boy wiped away his tears of joy, "I'm...sor..ry it's n...ot th..at"he said in between laughs.
Luna quickly fell asleep on your back as her brother laughed at the fact that you risked your life for his sister and he still hadn't said a simple thank you.
He stopped infront of his apartment room and opened the door, you took off your shoes before walking inside and you followed him all the way to the living room and you carefully placed the sleeping girl on the couch and her brother returned with a first aid kit.
"Where's the other one?" You asked noticing that he had returned without Mana. "She's asleep in her cradle,"he replied soaking a cotton bud with antiseptic before dabbing it on the girl's exposed wounds causing her to whimper in her sleep.
"I think it's time I leave"you said getting up and making your way toward the door. All you wanted to do was make sure Luna made it back home safely and unharmed.
"Wait. What's your name?" He asked as you played with the door handle.
"It's Amajiki Y/n."
The lilac haired boy nodded mentally registering your name in his head, "thank you for today Y/n-chan," his name rolled off his tongue perfectly. "My name is Mitsuya Takashi, feel free to call Takashi if you want" he introduced himself and you paused for a moment.
"Takashi-kun"you tested out his name and the male hummed in return. "I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each" you bid your farewell and made your way back home.
You really meant it, considering you lived in the same neighborhood.

When you got home Kyoko gave you a long lecture about returning back home for an hour and she wouldn't even let you speak or interrupt her. She also informed that they were able to secure a spot for you at a fancy private school.
You really didn't know how you felt about a fancy school but you weren't in a position to complain so you just thanked her for her hard work and apologized.
You took a well deserved bath, changed into your hello kitty pj's and opened your phone to see a lot of missed calls from the blonde and decided to call her and it only rang twice.
"Y/n are you okay?did you not see my texts" she shouted into the phone and you pulled your phone away from your ear.
"Relax,I'm okay" you reassured putting the phone to your ear. "I ran into some trouble when I was walking to your house but it's okay. Why did you call me over?"
She calmed down on the other side. "Oh, I needed help maths omework and apparently you are a certified genius."
"Where did you hear that from?"
"Your old classmates but don't worry I was able to solve all the problems. And we should definitely have a slumber party," she suggested.
"Okay I'll ask my parents but when though?"
"This Friday. My house or your house?"
"Definitely not my house Ai and her friends are going to be studying for entrance exams"
"So my house," she decided before hanging up and you let out a heavy sigh. You squealed and rolled around your bed excited for the upcoming slumber party.
