Chapter 13 - Turned one Overgod

Ivira was hugging him, her face planted on Cain's chest, and the sudden warmth made his whole body freeze. Her arms were soft. Her hair slid along his skin like silk. Her breath brushed against his chest in slow waves.

Meanwhile, Cain stood stiff like a statue. His brain was empty for a second. Then everything in him exploded in confusion.

What the heck? Why is she hugging me?

His mind spun like he was hit by an otherworldly spell. His hands hovered awkwardly in the air because he didn't know where to put them. He didn't know what to do. He didn't even know how to breathe right now

Then he felt it.

That thing.

Down there.

Hard.

His eyes widened. His breath left him

The hell? Am I turned on? Why? How? No way. This can't be happening. This is not happening. It's impossible. It's impossible!

He swallowed hard. His body betrayed him. His face got warm. His heartbeat got weird. His muscles clenched like he was preparing for battle but no, this was worse. This was much worse than battle.

Because in his past life, it took him a long time to feel anything close to this. It took work. Actual work. Not just simple effort but endless trials. Endless failures. Endless spells Endless experiments. Endless disasters he didn't want to remember just so he could perform well in bed.

He recalled the months spent trying to "fix" himself with forbidden spells, casting enchantments that failed. He remembered the pills that burned his stomach, meditation techniques that numbed his legs and crushed his pride, and charm manuals that promised results but only brought shame.

He thought of the alchemy that made him pass out from fumes, the three-day ritual he messed up, and the conditioning that felt torturous. He even attempted self-hypnosis, stretching, breathing exercises, rune injections, and a bizarre test with a puppet that attacked him.

In a dark chamber, he chanted ancient words meant to awaken instinct, but only felt embarrassment. Every master's odd look and every book's impossible promise haunted him. He felt cursed, decided to live like a monk, and remembered all the humiliation and failures.

He almost groaned in frustration just thinking of it.

It took that long, that much effort, that much pain, that much humiliation to get so little reaction from my little brother and now she hugs me for two seconds and THIS happens? How?! Why?! What kind of universe joke is this?!

Cain almost wanted to punch the air, but he froze again when Ivira's breath got warm on his chest. His whole body tensed.

No. No. Calm. Calm. This must be because of the blood pact. Yes. Yes. The blood pact. In my past life, they died without lifting the blood pact. So of course something weird like this happens. It makes sense… I think. Yes. It must be that. I'm not turned on. No. I refuse. I reject this reality. This is a blood-pact reaction. I am fine. I am normal.

Overgod Cain does not fall this easily. I will nullify the pact and everything will be back to normal. Once I break it, I can impregnate countless beautiful vampire noble ladies.

Yes.

Yes.

That's right.

I'll be free.

Absolutely free.

I'll spread my bloodline like a storm. I'll drown in women who will worship me. I will not be chained by this seductress wife and her two sisters. I just have to endure. Endure this moment. Endure her smell. Endure her warmth. Endure her hair brushing my skin. Endure. Endure. Endure.

No! No! Why can't I remove her from my head! Noooo!

His expression twisted as he tried to stay calm but every breath of hers made it worse.

Meanwhile, Ivira pressed her cheek further into his chest. She heard every single thought. Every. Single. One. Her brows twitched. Her lips curled down.

You're thinking of other women? Other vampire women? You want to escape? Even now? Even while I'm hugging you? Seriously?

Her chest rose. Her breath sharpened. Her irritation simmered quietly. She slowly tilted her head upward.

Cain felt danger.

His instincts screamed.

His soul trembled.

He looked down and met her eyes. Her beautiful, soft, red eyes. They were like petals soaked in blood and moonlight. They captured him instantly. His head spun. His instincts exploded

Suddenly, something primal in him woke up. His throat tightened. His vision blurred at the edges. His mind whispered dark, hungry things

He wanted to devour her.

He wanted to make her his.

He wanted to claim her.

He wanted to plant his children inside her.

He clenched his jaw and forced the thoughts down. His voice shook.

"My… wife… what's wrong…?"

Ivira lifted her face fully and smiled a little

"Thank you… for saving me" she said softly

Cain coughed. Hard. His heart shook. He looked away.

"That creature was simple to destroy" he said "You can do it easily too. It wasn't… it wasn't that hard…"

Ivira shook her head a little and said, "He was easy to destroy, yes, but I was intimidated by his high level infested mana mastery. Meanwhile, my husband wasn't intimidated at all. You were amazing."

Cain coughed again.

This time harder.

This time nearly dying.

No. Stop praising me. Why are you praising me? Why are you staring like that? Why is your face so close? Why are you breathing like that? Why do you smell so good? Why is this harder than fighting that parasite monster?!

Behind them, the blood slaves and blood maids whispered in shock. They were pale and shaking

"Lady Ivira is… being sweet?"

"This is shocking…"

"But Master Cain did save us all…"

"Indeed… if not for him, we would have been harmed…"

Cain forced a stiff smile. "U-uh… you're welcome—"

"Silence" Ivira said to them without looking away from Cain.

They all shut up immediately.

Cain blinked.

Ivira looked into his eyes again. The soft pink in her cheeks deepened. Her lips curved slightly. Her breathing warmed his skin.

She heard his thoughts echoing in his head again

Overgod Cain. Overgod Cain. Endure. Endure! Do not fall! Do not be tempted! You will spread your seed to countless vampire ladies. You will not be trapped by this woman! Resist! Resist! Resist!

Ivira's jaw tightened.

Her inner heart burned.

Uhuh? You still think of escaping? Even after I'm this close? Even after hugging me like this? Fine. Let's see how long he can resist me.

She pouted slightly and said, "Husband… I remember something."

Cain swallowed. "Wh… what…?"

"We have not consummated our marriage" she said softly "Tell me… am I not a woman in your eyes?"

Cain's soul left his body for a second

Everything inside him turned upside down

No, no, no, no, no, NO. THIS CANNOT BE. THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING. THIS IS ILLEGAL. THIS IS A DIRECT ATTACK. HOW CAN SHE SAY THAT WITH THAT FACE? NO. OVERGOD DOES NOT FALL THIS EASY. OVERGOD DOES NOT BETRAY HIS FUTURE HAREM PLANS. I MUST RESIST. I MUST RESIST. STAY STRONG. STAY PURE. NO TEMPTATION. NO SEDUCTION. NO—

His body moved on its own.

His face got close.

Too close.

He didn't even realize it.

His mind screamed like a dying man.

WHY AM I MOVING FORWARD?! STOP! STOP BODY! LISTEN TO ME! LISTEN TO YOUR OVERGOD! I COMMAND YOU! STOP! I REFUSE TO BE THIS EASY! I AM NOT WEAK! THIS IS A TRAP! A TRAP! A BEAUTIFUL, SOFT, SMOOTH, PERFECT TRAP BUT STILL A TRAP! I WILL NOT FALL! I AM NOT SOME HORNED-UP FOOL! I AM DIGNIFIED! I AM STRONG! I AM—

His lips almost touched hers.

His breath mixed with hers.

She smiled softly.

She enjoyed every second of it.

Cain internally screamed again and again.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO—

Their lips were a hair's width away.

Then—

A loud cough echoed through the hall.

Cain froze.

Ivira froze.

Everyone froze.

An old voice broke through the tension

"Daughter… don't attack the Lycannis Family… it will be the end of our Moonsha—ugh!"
