Chapter 2: The Weight of Blood
The story begins exactly where the previous chapter ended.
The police were escorting Roy away as the entire building was surrounded by the media. One police officer angrily shouted at another,
"Clear the media immediately! There are too many people here."
Roy remained completely silent. He could barely walk. His eyes kept drifting toward his hands—the same hands that had murdered his own brother. Even the police officers were hesitant to touch him.
As Roy was brought downstairs, the media surged forward. Cameras flashed relentlessly.
"Sir, your brother has been murdered!"
"Who do you suspect?"
"Do you have anything to say?"
Questions rained down from every direction.
No one yet knew the truth—neither who committed the murder nor how it happened. Only a few officers were aware that the killer was Kartik's own brother.
With great difficulty, the police pushed the media back and placed Roy inside the vehicle, heading toward the police station.
During the drive, Roy's mind drifted back to memories of his brother—the days when they were poor, when they had nothing but each other. The weight of those memories became unbearable, and tears silently rolled down his face.
Meanwhile, the news had spread across every country. The business world suffered a massive shock. Powerful families everywhere spoke of Kartik, yet no one knew the truth. Everyone was desperate to understand how Kartik had died.
When Roy arrived at the police station, thousands of guards were already stationed there. The situation at the hospital was no different. Authorities were desperately trying to prevent the truth from leaking to the public.
As Roy stepped inside the police station, he froze in disbelief.
This was the very police station Kartik himself had built.
Roy could not understand why his brother had constructed a police station for himself. It was never part of their responsibilities. Kartik had always been a mysterious man—someone who acted silently and left everyone shocked afterward.
Roy was slowly led into the interrogation room and seated. An officer informed him,
"Our senior officer will speak with you shortly."
The scene shifts.
A brutal sequence unfolds—an officer executing criminals with bullets, showing no mercy. His name is revealed:
Harry Parker
Harry Parker despised the rich—those who used money and influence to escape justice. Roy's case was handed to him personally.
Other officers were afraid to take this case. Roy was not an ordinary man; he was one of the richest individuals in the world. That was precisely why this case was assigned to Harry.
Roy's convoy of vehicles had also arrived at the station. Everyone waited for Harry to appear.
Then Harry received a phone call. He was informed that the case was extremely high-profile and dangerously complex.
Harry stayed silent for a moment… then spoke just one line:
"I'll handle it."
With that, Chapter 2 comes to an end.
