Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - I Didn't Steal the Relic!

Both Circe and Zelyn had left the Demon King's room and were heading down the hallway toward the kitchen.

Circe was in silence, walking with her hands clasped in front of her, behind Zelyn, who left the hall with a furrowed brow, quite angry.

"Do your knees hurt a lot, Miss Zelyn?"

"Just a bit." She replied. The shot of adrenaline she experienced didn't let her perceive the pain from the attack she didn't even manage to see.

'Was I about to die again?' Zelyn questioned herself as she moved forward, but she stopped and let Circe walk by her side.

"Lord Aedan's fire manifestation is almost at the top of the demonic world..." Circe murmured, trying to break the silence while observing Zelyn's knees.

"P-Please forgive me, I couldn't do anything, Miss... It's lucky that Lord Igniel was there too." She said, ashamed.

"So, Igniel, huh..." Zelyn murmured. 'Now I understand why that name seemed familiar to me.'

They were walking toward the kitchen. Circe had said she would look for something Zelyn could eat there. Due to the hour, there were no longer any cooks, but surely something would be saved. She said that, and Zelyn followed her.

"Wait a moment here, Miss Zelyn. I'll go look for some potions to heal the wounds on your knees."

"Those potions? Good, that will be efficient."

Circe left in a hurry while Zelyn kept an eye on the entire kitchen, thinking that the place was cleaner than she might expect.

Not even two minutes had passed when Circe returned with two potions in her hand; her beautiful short hair was a bit messy and her breathing was only slightly agitated.

'Did she go running? How silly.'

"Here, take one of these potions, Miss Zelyn." Circe uncapped it and brought it to Zelyn's lips herself, adding, "I really am sorry, Miss Zelyn, we should have gone to His Majesty immediately."

Zelyn had many questions in her head. But right now she simply placed her lips over the opening of the potion, letting Circe pour it inside her mouth; she swallowed.

The potions seemed to relieve her instantly. She saw how, on her knees, the burns disappeared.

"They really are very efficient, aren't they, Circe? I hope you get many for me." Zelyn said with a mischievous smile.

"But what are you thinking of doing, Miss Zelyn?" Circe asked with intrigue.

"Hehe, it's nothing, just precaution." She said while turning her gaze, looking around, thinking: 'Actually, I want them in case something like that happens again; I'll save them.'

That said, Zelyn's stomach emitted a noise again and, bringing her hands to her stomach, she stared at Circe.

"Ahhh, I forgot. Sorry for my incompetence." She ran to look for the food that was left over from the midday preparation.

Upon bringing the food, she placed it in front of her on the table. A plate and a glass of juice; Circe had a very uneasy look.

"M-Miss Zelyn, please, don't use your fire manifestation again..." She said it with a worried tone. "Last time you almost died because of it."

'Even if Circe says that, it's a comment I won't take for myself.'

"Don't worry, I won't, hehe. Now, to eat." Zelyn said and started to eat.

"Uhu." Circe nodded.

'This doesn't taste good.'

"It doesn't taste very well, does it, Miss Zelyn?"

'Did my face give me away?'

"Don't worry, I'll eat it all."

"Yes, eat it all, dear little sister, haha." Said the handsome red-haired demon who entered the kitchen and, without invitation, sat in front of Zelyn.

"...Are you Igniel?"

"Who else could it be? Being unconscious for two days made you forget me. I'll get sad, haha... Did you both heal your wounds already?"

"Both? Don't tell me Circe did too?" Zelyn turned to look at Circe; she blushed.

"No, no, I'm fine, Miss Zelyn. I already took some potions."

'Damn, I didn't even notice that.'

"Even if we have different mothers, this time I think Aedan went over the line." Igniel commented with some seriousness in his voice, but then he smiled.

"Y-yeah... But don't think I'm going to thank you for intervening."

"Haha, and I was hoping that, in gratitude, you would return the relic, little sister."

"But I don't have it..."

"I see. You're still shaken by everything that happened. In that case... I'll come see you tomorrow." Upon finishing speaking, Igniel left the room. Circe remained in silence.

Zelyn took a bit of the juice Circe had brought. She sighed.

'But how persistent they are! I didn't steal anything!'

"Miss, it's already quite late. Now you should go rest; I think it will be good for us to resume training starting tomorrow."

"We'll have training?"

"Yes, of course. I will wait for you at the same time as always." She said it with a smile on her face.

'And what time is that supposed to be?'

"Alright, then I'll go rest."

There was much Zelyn had to think about. Not even a day had passed since being in this new world, she had realized her great disadvantage in it and the accusations she was receiving left her uneasy.

After finishing eating, she went back to the room with Circe and they said goodbye so Zelyn could sleep, although she wondered what kind of training Circe was talking about.
