Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Fall of Sovereigns

Planet Misophythus was already wounded.

The ground was cracked and unstable, still carrying the jagged scars from the earlier slaughter of the new rangers. Ignis (Original Red Ranger) stood at the center of the destruction, unmoving. His red armor was steady, heat rolling off the plating in slow, distorted waves. He was not raging. He was waiting.

Across from him stood Solara (Original Yellow Ranger).

The Light Empress did not glow for show. Light gathered around her naturally, sharp and focused, bending toward her presence as if she were the center of a star. She looked calm, but her eyes were fixed on Ignis (Original Red Ranger) with an open, lethal challenge. The other Sovereigns had already stepped back. They knew this was not training. This was dominance being decided between two gods.

"Move," Ignis (Original Red Ranger) said. "I do not want to kill you."

Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) smiled slightly. "You already decided to."

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) said nothing.

Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) vanished.

She did not disappear into darkness. She shifted into pure light. In less than a heartbeat, she reappeared behind Ignis (Original Red Ranger) and struck. Her kick landed with the force of a meteor, driving him forward. She followed instantly, her blade flashing once, twice, three times. Each strike was aimed with the precision of a surgeon.

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) blocked the first two. The third cut through his shoulder armor, drawing a line of heat. He turned and swung, but Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) was already gone. She moved faster now, striking from impossible angles, never staying still. Each hit landed before Ignis (Original Red Ranger) could fully react. His armor cracked in several places as he was forced back step by step.

"This is what restraint looks like," Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) said, her voice steady and mocking. "You mistake your strength for superiority."

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) roared and released his power.

The ground beneath them collapsed inward, turning to powder. Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) shielded herself with a barrier of light, but the sheer force drove her back. Ignis (Original Red Ranger) charged through the dust and landed a direct hit to her chest. Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) crashed into the stone and rolled to her feet, her armor fractured but intact.

She raised her hand. Light condensed into a single, blinding point.

Solar Flare.

The burst hit Ignis (Original Red Ranger) head on. His visor dimmed instantly. His movements slowed as the light overwhelmed his sensors. Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) appeared in front of him and struck repeatedly, each blow landing clean. Ignis (Original Red Ranger) was driven into the dirt, his armor breaking apart under the relentless assault. The final hit sent him skidding across the surface of the planet.

His armor disengaged, leaving him vulnerable. Ignis (Original Red Ranger) lay in the dirt, breathing hard, blood on his face. Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) looked down at him from the air. "This is the difference between power and control."

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) pushed himself up. His eyes were calm. "You are done," he said.

He transformed again.

This time, the fire did not surge outward. It stayed close to his body. It was dense. Heavy. Terrifying. His blade formed slowly in his hand, a metal darker and hotter than anything seen before. Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) raised her weapon. "Then come."

They collided. The impact shook the very foundations of the planet. Before the duel could reach its end, the other Sovereigns intervened.

Astrax (Original Blue Ranger) froze the space between them in a block of absolute zero ice. Verdan (Original Green Ranger) locked their movement within a pocket of stilled time. Lyra (Original Pink Ranger), the Gravity Princess, increased the local gravity by ten thousand percent until both combatants were pinned to the breaking crust of the world.

Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) moved within the pause and struck once more, her blade cutting through the chest of Ignis (Original Red Ranger). The light faded. Ignis (Original Red Ranger) fell.

The Arrival of Death

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) survived, but he was changed. He left the Sovereigns behind and walked the universe as a man. No armor. No title. He met someone during that time—a quiet figure, calm and polite. They shared food. They shared words. Then, a message tore through the stars. A declaration from the void.

"I am Drakkon. Ruler of the Negative Zone. I will rule this world or erase it."

The quiet man stood up. "Character designation," he said. "Seventh Sin. Attribute: Death."

He transformed into a nightmare. This was Drakkon (The Negative King). He struck Ignis (Original Red Ranger) once. The blow sent the former leader through the crust of the planet and out into the cold vacuum of space.

When the other Sovereigns arrived, Drakkon (The Negative King) did not retreat. He ignored their divine attacks. He moved freely through the frozen time of Verdan (Original Green Ranger). He brushed aside the light of Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) with a simple gesture.

Then Malakor (Original Black Ranger) stepped forward. The Void Sovereign did not attack the intruder. He knelt. "I will serve," Malakor (Original Black Ranger) said.

Together, they dismantled the Sovereigns. Astrax (Original Blue Ranger) was dragged into the darkness and torn apart. Verdan (Original Green Ranger) was erased inside his own stopped time. Lyra (Original Pink Ranger) collapsed under the weight of her own gravity, crushed into a singularity. Solara (Original Yellow Ranger) was restrained, her light snuffed out.

The Absolute One

Facing total extinction, Ignis (Original Red Ranger) made a choice no Sovereign had ever dared. He called to the Primal Germs. All six responded to his desperate will. They merged into him, a fusion of power that should have ended existence.

The fire vanished. The light vanished. What remained was a silent, terrifying white.

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) rose as the Absolute One. He did not rush Drakkon (The Negative King). He walked. Drakkon (The Negative King) attacked with the power of the Negative Zone, but Ignis (Original Red Ranger) simply stepped aside. He split into many forms, each movement exact and perfect. One strike erased Drakkon (The Negative King) completely from history.

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) turned to the traitor. He did not kill him. He opened a rift and threw Malakor (Original Black Ranger) into the Negative Zone. "You wanted more," Ignis (Original Red Ranger) said. "Now survive it."

Ignis (Original Red Ranger) shattered his own god-like power, scattering the Germs across existence to ensure no one could ever hold them all again, and sealed the gate.

The Negative Warlord

Malakor (Original Black Ranger) did not die in the filth of the Negative Zone. He adapted. He found the Shard Core, a fragment of broken reality. The Void Sovereign became something much worse: The Negative Warlord.

He now hunts every new generation of rangers, including the five children from Chapter 1. He kills them because they carry the tiny fragments of the glory he lost.
