Chapter 85: Three Doors?
Stepped out of the small path created by the crates.
In front of Takeshi was a large stone block, on top was a small brown head, strange patterns and candles burning weakly.
Takeshi was a bit surprised looking at the brown head, he was alert, eyes unwavering. Knowing the warning was not to get near the seal, and just looking could tell in front was the seal.
The three girls fanned out and stood observing.
Airi with an extremely cautious voice:
"Everyone be careful, don't get near."
Takeshi stood behind, he was a bit curious seeing the path with exposed steps leading upward. Silent and stepped near, he looked up and saw a door.
Turned back and called: "Hey guys, here is a path up."
The three girls stepped near, eyes curious.
Ayaka: "Here it is, waited forever to arrive."
Elyssia looked up, then she turned back and said:
"Why is there a door here again? And leading up."
Ayaka: "Could it be someone's house?"
Airi: "Just go up and see then you'll know."
When Airi finished speaking, it was also when Takeshi stepped up making everyone pay attention. He said:
"Shall I open it?"
Airi: "Yeah, open it."
Ayaka with a worried voice:
"Remember to be careful."
Takeshi slowly pushed the door open. In front of him was a table with items thrown messily. A pungent smell of alcohol hit his nose making him also have to frown.
Stepped further and observed around the room, he observed while speaking:
"Come up, above is safe."
The three girls stepped up, and observed the room.
Elyssia: "These two houses are connected by a tunnel?"
Ayaka pointed upward, where there were rooms there.
"Up there are rooms, everyone."
They turned and looked up at the three rooms condensed in sight.
Elyssia: "This is a trial so those rooms are for us to explore. So I think this house has no one."
Airi also felt it was right. She lowered her voice:
"Um, but you guys still must be careful."
All four stepped up the stairs.
Ayaka: "I think this is that man's house. I think we should explore very quickly, then leaving is better."
Takeshi: "I think so too."
Airi nodded.
"Dividing up is a bit hard? Because there is only one pen to write."
Elyssia: "Then open all doors, then peer in and check the situation inside, after that divide up."
Ayaka: "Reasonable, so we open the first two rooms, then the last room together. No going alone."
Elyssia turned to Ayaka beside her.
"I think that's reasonable, so I'll go with Ayaka, okay?"
Airi nodded.
"Yeah, go ahead."
They left the three sticks with glowing stones outside the door and entered. Ayaka and Elyssia entered the first room, while Airi and Takeshi entered the room next door.
Ayaka and Elyssia walked around the room, trying not to step on empty alcohol bottles strewn on the ground.
…
After a while, all four simultaneously stepped out, cast eyes at each other.
Ayaka held the book in her hand and held it up.
"Hey guys, I found this book with more information."
Airi and Takeshi stepped near, staring at the book in Ayaka's hand.
Airi held up the book in her own hand.
"I found one too."
Airi gave the book to Ayaka, she took it. Airi reached out and took Ayaka's book.
Elyssia: "You guys try reading."
…
After finishing reading, Airi spoke:
"I see, I understand. So this trial is we need to seal the monster."
Takeshi spoke continuing Airi: "And it seems very hard, this makes us lose time to prepare for the execution."
Elyssia nodded, she also felt it was reasonable.
"So the trial design like this is to make it hard for us, but also creates conditions for us to continuously explore then we can find out."
Ayaka tilted to one side while Airi and Takeshi were standing in front and looking toward the last door.
"Then now we need to find the items to perform the seal. Maybe the last room is the storehouse."
Elyssia: "Very possible, but also possible it's hidden elsewhere, and that room is simply to add more clues for us."
Takeshi turned back and looked at the door. He was quite hurried.
"I think we should explore now, talking much is a headache."
…
Scene change…
Elyssia opened the door and pushed lightly inside. Her body was soaking wet with rain, clothes drenched, clinging to her body, truly terrible as she only wore a shirt. Her long platinum hair nearly to her feet was now tied neatly like a ponytail and stood up, they were matted by rainwater. The whole face full of rainwater, making her awake without needing to wash her face, platinum eyelashes and eyebrows also wet, each time closing eyes or lifting eyebrows felt heavier.
She opened her eyes in surprise, stood frozen without moving, frowned slightly with a skeptical look, she stared without taking eyes off the front.
Inside the house, the room was also quite dark. An Elyssia was sitting on a chair and turning toward the door, with that appearance, she was like a lamp in the dark. Smiling lightly in a friendly way, as if there was no ill intent, hand raised and waving as if greeting.
She spoke, the sound still the same, no different from Elyssia. But there was a feeling of being quite tired through that crystal clear voice:
"Hello, just come in. I won't do anything."
(Calling the Elyssia already in the room Elyssia B, while the Elyssia just entered is Elyssia A).
Elyssia A displayed a confused face, full of skepticism and alertness when there was a strangely friendly invitation. Although her feet had stepped inside a bit, she still didn't step further but kept the posture, right hand still holding the doorknob. Feeling like Elyssia would be ready to run at any moment if she felt something was not right.
She spoke with a highly skeptical tone, eyes staring at the one sitting in front of her who was quite comfortably inviting her in:
"What do you want?"
Elyssia B still kept the smile and pointed inside.
"Just sit, I can't even touch you anyway so why so alert?"
Elyssia A still kept that cold face, eyes staring and spoke:
"Who knows in this room there are other people who will rush out and attack me suddenly?"
Elyssia B no longer smiled, but the friendly face was still there.
"This is an empty room, don't worry. I was waiting for you."
Elyssia A frowned, those eyes didn't believe any word.
"Waiting for me? Speak straight to the main issue, don't be wordy."
Elyssia B pointed toward the wall making Elyssia A notice and look.
On the wall there were three doors placed close to the wall, no strange signs. Clearly the other rooms there had no doors, but here there were.
Elyssia A frowned, skeptical eyes, voice as if wanting to interrogate:
"What do you mean?"
"Are there doors here?"
Elyssia B smiled lightly, face still very calm.
"You see, there are three doors here, now I will give you a chance to escape."
Elyssia A did not lower her alertness.
"Continue."
Elyssia B continued: "Your friends have all escaped, now only you are left."
Elyssia A did not appear surprised, she kept those eyes, appearing as normal as possible.
"What trick are you playing? You are also like me and needing to escape from here. I guess this is a trap?"
Elyssia B shook her head slightly.
"You are wrong. Let me tell you. Your friends have all escaped, only you are left. You were supposed to stay in here forever, but because Vilkel doesn't want the way you just started to already stop. So this is your only chance."
Elyssia A still tried to appear normal, but in her head she was full of skepticism. Silent and thinking:
"Only me left? Everyone truly escaped? Sounds hard to believe, but also not impossible. So only me left?"
She was silent, then said:
"Then how does Vilkel know where we are going to say: doesn't want just started to already stop?"
Elyssia B smiled as if clearly knowing herself.
"You've entered here and still think no one knows about you?"
Elyssia B suddenly lowered her voice and became deep, as if emphasizing words to create weight:
"You are an angel, a half-breed with a Yokai and an angel. Carrying the blood of your mother who is an angel, your father who is a nine-tailed fox. I am right, am I not?"
She suddenly added more damage to the sentence, as if cutting into her heart.
"Living hidden in a forest with father and mother, but were discovered and pursued by the angel race."
Elyssia A was silent, said not a word, face bowed low and darkened like a gloomy sky.
Elyssia B smiled as if mocking.
"Do you see me summarizing your life well?"
Elyssia A clenched her fists. But then she relaxed and calmed down, knowing that in here one cannot touch each other. But in her head she was still quite angry.
Her voice became calm again:
"You are me so of course you can say that."
Elyssia B smiled.
"Come on, go to the main topic. I will ask you a question and you will answer, these doors are a part of that question."
Elyssia A: "Continue."
Elyssia B pointed toward the doors. Each door had a number: 1; 2; 3.
"Do you see the numbers on the doors?"
"Step in here, I won't do anything to you."
Elyssia A was still quite alert, but she was also quite afraid when thinking everyone had escaped.
"If everyone escaped, then I need to solve it and escape. But truly still quite hard to believe, but currently don't know what to do, just try and see."
She silently stepped in.
Seeing Elyssia A step in, Elyssia B then stood up, this action made Elyssia A quite alert and stop after taking two steps. But Elyssia B turned inside, walked through some kitchens and to the stairs, yielding the place for Elyssia A.
Elyssia A silently looked on, said not a single word, seeing she had gone quite far, she then stepped further and stood before the table.
On the table were three large papers being placed neatly, there were some words written there. But Elyssia A did not read, she looked up and saw Elyssia B sitting on the stairs.
Elyssia B saw Elyssia looking at her, she pointed toward the table, signaled to read.
Elyssia bowed down and looked down at the papers on the table.
From the distance, Elyssia B added, as if she just remembered:
"Ah, this is just giving an opportunity, if I said something wrong earlier, my apologies."
Elyssia A picked up a paper, she turned over, face uncomfortable, frowned in confusion.
"What do you mean by saying that?"
