The girl did not hold back in her words at all. She kept laughing here and there and at times tried to cross some boundaries but Lyren slapped the hand away.
He had been thinking of a better way to use her and he just might have found one. He was finally done and she wrapped a white towel around him tightly.
She then rubbed his hair dry with another towel before Lyren walked out and went to the next room which was most likely the bedroom.
He pushed the door open and as he stood at the door and admiring the huge bed at the edge, his skin tingled as he felt a warm breath on his neck.
His hair stood up straight and his muscles clenched. When had she gotten behind him? It couldn't be that she wanted to follow him in, right?
"Young master. Come inside and have a change of clothes." She walked from behind him into the room and went to the wardrobe.
Again, standing at the door, Lyren was flabbergasted. That was a very great chance to get rid of her but she had somehow slipped in.
He watched her figure and she really had a certain sense of attraction. He cleared those thoughts as he slowly walked into the room which felt like a lion's den.
He did not close the door or else he might get assaulted… He stood helplessly by the bed as he waited.
She took her precious time before fishing out a blue robe for him and pants. She then placed them on the bed under his gaze with every move deliberate to arouse him.
She held one end of the towel and was about to pull it when he held her hand by the wrist. He then threw it away and took a deep breath.
"Thank you for your help till now but I think you have done enough already."
His voice carried finality and when she was about to speak again, flames lit up in the depth of his eyes and she was silent before bowing and leaving.
"You may wait outside from now on. I will call you when I need you."
She locked the door and Lyren finally heaved a sigh of relief as his heart and mind calmed down.
He let himself fall freely on the bed as he stared at the ceiling which had another chandelier on it. This was certainly some class he had to admit.
He maintained this position for a long time before he finally stood up and dropped the towel and put on the new change of clothes.
He then picked the towel and decided to head to the main room. If he could get rid of her, then he was going to use the chance to practice arrays.
He opened the door and he wore a relaxed face. He had to admit that she really was good at washing people. He never felt so relaxed and refreshened.
"Young master really has good looks. I am already falling in love with him…"
A voice drifted into Lyren's ears and he was at first confused where it was coming from before he looked at the side where the voice had come from.
There she was. Standing with her hands clasped forward, a look of admiration plastered on her face. Her back to the wall.
Lyren's relaxed face turned to that of surprise and he could not get annoyed. Was this the charm of a woman?
"Did I not tell you to wait for me outside? I thought that it was clear?" Lyren asked with accusation because he had thought for a moment that he was alone.
"I followed your command, Young Master, and I have been waiting for you since then. Oh, you brought the towel. You didn't have to bother with me here. Give it to me and go do your thing. I am still at your beck and call."
She said as she picked the towel forcefully from him before heading towards the bathroom. Lyren's eyes followed her until she disappeared into the room.
Lyren chuckled. If he were to describe her, he could call her the human form of irony.
Everything she did and said was exactly opposite of what he wanted. How could she be so annoying but he could not get annoyed at her?
He went and stood at the window. He had come to love the view here and again he was lost in thoughts.
At this state, his mind drifted towards the VANTAGELESS BLADE.
He recalled the moves and their elegance. He recalled in the final gift from the sect, he had seen the potential of the first sword.
At first he had thought that it was just fast but he realized that that was not all there was to it. The sword movement was a combination of seven moves all done and performed at almost the same time.
If he wanted to perform it, he would have to increase his speed but he had not had a chance to do the sword swings.
He wanted to rest but his mind did not let him. If he wanted progress, he was not going to waste the whole week on rest alone.
He recalled how the sword seemed to cut the air and how he failed to replicate a single sword swing.
What was he missing?
Then it struck him. Even from the memories, he could still feel how the sword wanted to cut everything in its way.
That was exactly what he was missing. His swings carried no will of their own and they were just random. If he could embody his will into the swings, maybe he was going to make progress.
What remained was whether he had the will in him. The will to cut everything in the path of his sword. Even the air.
He could tell that this will was somehow connected with the word he had received when his mind's eye was struck.
If he could recall it, he could connect some dots. He tried to recall the actual word that symbolized the sword but his efforts bore no fruits.
He sighed because it appeared that this was a fruitless endeavor. He would have to create a will of his own.
He definitely wanted to cut everything that stood in his way but he was already failing. His hair went on alert mode behind his neck as a warm breath assaulted him.
This sent him shivers as he almost jumped away only to stop himself. His heart though was racing from the shock.
He could feel a presence behind him and the warm breath came once again and he felt goosebumps on his body.
He turned his neck and looked at the girl who was overly close to him. She had curiosity written on her face and their eyes met for a brief moment. His dark gray ones meeting her brown ones.
Lyren realized that this woman was certainly not normal. She had appeared behind him two times already and he had not heard her footsteps or felt her presence until she breathed on his neck.
This was deliberate from her and he could not help but feel that a sixth stage young girl working as a maid who could hide her presence was definitely not normal.
Especially when there was only the two of them.
"Could you please stop stalking me? You should not appear behind me like that. It gives me a scare every time," Lyren spoke with his eyes on her before turning and walking away.
"Young Master, do you have any more requests for me?" She asked and Lyren stopped and glanced at her once again.
"None. You are dismissed." Lyren said and he felt that he had finally gotten rid of her
"Okay Young Master."
She bowed and Lyren stopped to watch her leave but his eyes almost popped out when he saw that she was not leaving and instead, she was heading towards the table.
She sat on one of the chairs and he did not know where she removed the book she started reading.
Lyren really was going to file a complaint now. This was becoming too much.
He sighed as he realized they were not going to buy his story and he could not help but feel that they would try to use that twisted logic of their and assume that she was not pleasing him enough and they might force her to get intimate with him.
Was this really his fate? To tolerate this unwanted guest?
He walked towards her and she raised her head to look at him but he did not talk to her and he just picked his sword and walked outside.
He was going to practice the VANTAGELESS BLADE and giving his swings a will.
