Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Officer Shaw pinched her brow as she sighed at me and the bullshit she had to deal with on this night, "Mr. Grey, do you have anywhere to stay for the night. Your home is now a crime scene and there are a lot of things that need to be done before we can release the location to you."

Before I could say anything, Tsunade placed a hand on my shoulder, "We will be staying in the old hospital over in the docks, by Pier 15."

Officer Shaw and those around her froze at that little bit of information. "You mean the one that the Teeth used as a hideout when they were in the city with the boat attachment?" Officer Shaw asked to get clarification.

Tsunade smiled at the Officer, "Yes, the paperwork was finalized a few weeks ago and we have only been able to clean out the basement and a couple of floors."

"HUH, you have a date on when it will be open?" Officer Shaw asked and I could see a few cops listening in on the conversation.

Tsunade tilted her head and then looked at me, in reply, I could only shrug. Honestly, the entire hospital thing was because I didn't want to be some spandex-wearing cape. Then there was the fact that doing good would just bring all the morons to my door, so it wasn't much work besides fighting.

"A month, give or take a week or two," I replied since Tsunade didn't have an answer to give. I knew that I could easily get things ready in a month with all the tech that I knew about. Add in my unlimited freestyle creation and nothing was beyond me.

A few of the officers around us smiled at that little information drop while Officer Shaw walked Tsunade and myself to the porch of my house.

"Someone will give you a call in the morning once we are finished so we can release the location." Officer Shaw stated, then stopped herself, "Do you need a ride to the Hospital or anything?"

I shook my head at that, "No ride needed, but I would appreciate a chance to pack an overnight bag."

At that realization, we went back in to grab a to-go bag and then back downstairs to stand on the front porch. My hand was raised as I scrolled through commands on my omni-tool. Then, with a head tip at the officer, I aimed my gauntlet at free space and opened a portal with a zap and green beam.

"That is unauthorized tinker tech," Armsmaster yelled, and when I turned to look at him, I could see a little froth at the corners of his mouth. Ignoring the man, I turned around with a roll of my eyes and followed Tsunade through the portal. He could stay salty on the other side of the force field.

It closed with a swish-zap sound behind me, with a sigh. I dropped my go bag on the couch of the little apartment before dropping down next to it. The last 24hrs have been such a shitshow, so done with this shit. Bringing my hands up, I dragged them down my face because fucking hell.

Hands traced over my shoulders before fingers started to go to work on my neck helping to ease all that tension.

"Talk to me Anthony, what's the plan now?" Tsunade questioned as she worked at my overstressed muscles.

Leaning forward, I allowed Tsunade to get onto the couch with me as she took my back, her legs wrapping around my waist to rest in my lap as she worked me over, "Like I told the Officer, we get the hospital up and running then shift gears from there. I'm here to save this world and would rather do that in a way no one would see coming."

Tsunade sighed behind my back, "Alright, but I will need more sisters."

At that statement, I chuckled while I typed away at my omni-tools, commands, text messages, and a few bits of information going to contacts. Once I had finished all of that, it was only right that we went to bed. The morning could wait along with all my crafting and other things. Already, a multitude of plans came to mind that I did not want to touch at all right now. With a shake of my head, I pushed those away as I got up and offered Tsunade my hand, it was time for bed, again.

Thursday Morning

Dockside Hospital

Anthony Grey

With a grunt and groan, I took one step after the other as I slid the power core into the housing. My hands were sweaty, but to be honest, most of my grip came from telekinesis as I carried the behemoth of a thing around the basement of the hospital. The pump and separation system would pull in and filter water from the bay and then separate it into heavy deuterium. This deuterium would then be delivered to the power core capable of powering galaxy-class star ships in the Star Trek universe. There was a slight hum as things kicked on, and I made a hand motion for Tsunade to flick the lever.

I can't lie and say I didn't enjoy yelling 'wrong lever Krunk' earlier in the day. Stepping away from the massive power plant, I went over to the command station and checked things over while Tsunade took a step to the side and got out of my way. Levels were good, both the capacitors and batteries were filling up and even the links to the rest of the hospital were all sending back greens across the board.

Happy with what I was seeing, I then swiped a hand across the screen and brought up the shielding systems. The shields would go around the hospital in an octagon-type field allowing controls at certain portions like the security booth and docking locations by the water. Everything got scanned on both their way into and out of the perimeter.
