Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: March, Believe It or Not, You’ll Get the Knife?

In an instant!

The nebulae surged, and fierce storms swept in all directions.

Even Dan Heng and March 7th on the platform could barely withstand it, so they simply retreated along with the others.

They watched from afar the man standing alone in the storm on the platform.

Tremendous power caused all the instruments and equipment in the space station to hum and vibrate.

At this moment.

Even the Doomsday Beast in front of the platform was completely immobilized by the terrifying pressure of the Taixu Sword God.

Its black-and-white skeletal frame creaked under the crushing force!

The sword hadn't even fallen yet, but its form was already beginning to distort.

Though forged in the fires of war, this Doomsday Beast clearly couldn't withstand the Taixu Sword God unleashed with the power of the Stellaron!

Under everyone's gaze, Zeig slowly extended two fingers and gently pointed toward the Doomsday Beast ahead.

Buzz—!!

The massive golden sword tip high above in the distant star river seemed to respond to the summons, slowly descending toward the Doomsday Beast.

With every bit it advanced, the entire space station shook violently.

Beneath that sword tip, the Doomsday Beast's body appeared so insignificant.

Everyone held their breath.

Countless thoughts raced through their minds—they were profoundly shocked by this scene!

The sword fell from the pinnacle of the galaxy suspended high in the cosmos; its edge caused the surrounding floating asteroids to crumble one after another.

The moment the golden sword tip touched the Doomsday Beast, another massive upheaval erupted, as if a supernova had detonated.

"Boom——————!!"

Not only the Doomsday Beast—the entire Herta Space Station was engulfed in golden light.

The rumbling never ceased; no one dared to breathe.

It took a long while before the light in the cosmos gradually faded.

Inside Herta Space Station.

Many researchers huddled on the ground, arms over their heads.

It took them a long time to come back to their senses.

In the distant star river, faint golden trails still lingered.

As if proving that the sword strike just now had been real.

After a long pause.

What snapped everyone out of it was the voice of a handsome middle-aged man.

"Himeko, who was the one who drew the sword?" Welt asked with a serious expression.

"Hm?" March 7th turned blankly, then said in surprise: "Uncle Yang, when did you get here?"

Welt: "When you all retreated inside."

He adjusted his glasses and gazed at the golden radiance lingering in the distant cosmos.

He had seen this technique before.

In the most glorious era of Shenzhou, there had been a mountain called Mount Taixu, steeped in ancient Eastern flair.

The title of the Phoenix Immortal instantly surfaced in Welt's mind.

"Himeko, are you alright?" Welt asked the dazed Himeko again.

Himeko's expression at that moment was incredibly complex.

Barely suppressing the shock in her heart, she slowly spoke:

"His name is Zeig. He once called himself the captain of the Hyperion."

"What?!" Welt's expression froze.

Clang——!!

Uncle Yang's cane involuntarily fell to the ground, but his pupils were filled with disbelief.

He had heard of the captain of the Hyperion.

He never imagined he would encounter someone from that world again here.

His heart instantly surged with mixed emotions.

That single sword strike had reached the power of an Aeon's Emanator.

"Hey, hey, why isn't anyone talking?" March 7th looked left and right, noticing everyone was in a daze, their eyes distant and unfocused.

As if they hadn't fully woken up.

At that moment, it was Dan Heng who responded to March 7th.

He looked at the lingering golden trails in space:

"This sword has a very Xianzhou style."

Welt nodded:

"Yes, quite similar. His control over the sword's momentum is exquisitely refined. Even though to us it appeared like raging waves, and we were bathed in this golden light, no one was injured."

"His attainment in swordsmanship can rival a friend I once knew."

The person Welt referred to was naturally Fu Hua, the Phoenix Immortal.

Dan Heng: "Mr. Welt, does that mean you've been to the Xianzhou before?"

"No." Welt said slowly. "That was in my homeland."

Among the Express crew, Welt never spoke much about his homeland.

Clearly, this sword had stirred some memories.

Himeko smiled and said:

"Welt, is he your fellow countryman?"

Welt shook his head:

"Not confirmed yet. We might need to talk."

At that moment, a dissonant voice rang out.

"Huh, isn't this the leader of Anti-Entropy? You're here too."

Welt adjusted his glasses, his expression complex:

"Now it's confirmed."

Himeko: "…"

"Never thought I'd run into you here, former captain of the Hyperion." Welt shook hands with Zeig. Seeing this young man, his thoughts seemed to drift back to long ago.

Zeig returned the smile:

"I don't deserve such a title. In our original world, I barely had any role in the main story. For the great leader to remember a small fry like me—it truly shows your magnanimity."

This was Zeig's first time in Honkai: Star Rail meeting someone who recognized him.

Hiss—if Welt is here, then what about the Core of Reason?

Zeig asked directly:

"Leader, is the Core of Reason perhaps with you too…"

Welt smiled in response:

"You'll find out later. That sword earlier was impressive—was it taught by Fu Hua?"

Zeig: "No, the system gave it."

Welt: "…"

Welt: "The captain is still as humorous as ever."

Uncle Yang simply thought Zeig was joking, unwilling to reveal the true source of his power.

Watching the two call each other "captain" and "leader," March 7th raised an eyebrow.

These two didn't seem to have ordinary statuses back in their homeland.

Uncle Yang had once mentioned to them that he was the head of some organization—this pretty much confirmed it.

As for the other "captain," it seemed to be real too.

"Uncle Yang, since Zeig is your countryman, why don't we invite him aboard the Express?" March 7th suggested.

She had just witnessed Zeig's strength—it was undeniably powerful.

If he joined the Astral Express, their safety would skyrocket.

Hearing this, Welt nodded and looked at Zeig:

"Zeig, what do you think of March's suggestion? Would you like to join the Express crew?"

As a former captain, Zeig's character needed no further proof—Welt certainly approved.

Moreover, he was an old acquaintance.

"Sure, I've got nowhere else to go anyway."

Zeig agreed outright.

Since he had come to this world, following the Astral Express was definitely the right choice.

If he stayed at Herta Space Station, many things would become uncontrollable—that wasn't what Zeig wanted.

He had many goals now.

First was to increase his strength—slack when possible, because he would surely clash with Aeons later. Emanator First Order definitely wouldn't be enough.

Second was to protect his companions as much as possible—that was why he was joining the Astral Express.

He never wanted anyone to sacrifice themselves again like Himeko had in the previous world.

For that, he truly needed to grow stronger, just in case.

Zeig's gaze first landed on March 7th.

"What? Why are you looking at me with that pitying expression?!" Noticing Zeig's stare, March 7th was very puzzled.

"Adult matters—kids shouldn't pry." Zeig refused to explain.

March 7th's identity, appearance, personality.

She was practically the prime candidate for sacrifice.

"Uncle Yang." March 7th ran to Welt's side and whispered: "Let's not invite him aboard after all. Leave him at the space station to work 996."

Welt: "…"
