In an instant, countless tentacles hovering outside the maw surged forward, ready to pounce on Lynn—but they froze midway. Lynn held the severed tentacle, pressed it into a wooden basin, and poured bottle after bottle of potion into it with a serious expression. He pulled out a syringe and crunched as he injected the potion into the tentacle.
The tentacles froze in place, holding the eye and peering curiously.
A few minutes later, Lynn grabbed the potion-filled tentacle and shouted: "Light it up!" He was fully in work mode now!
The tentacle holding the eye trembled noticeably, quickly directing its pale beam onto the bleeding back molar. Lynn jumped onto the tooth aggressively (`皿??), aimed the potion-injected tentacle at the hole with a solemn look, and rammed it in forcefully.
"Yah—" The giant baby let out a pained cry. The tentacle went right in—but it was clear the tentacle was too thick, and the hole too narrow. To drive it all the way to the bottom, he'd need the help of heavy tools. He'd just have to force it!
In the next second, Lynn jumped down, raced back to his shop, and returned a few minutes later carrying a pile of tools, climbing back into the maw.
"What—are—you—doing?" The eye trembled visibly.
Lynn's expression was cold. He held a sledgehammer in one hand and an iron rod in the other, wore a mask, and adjusted his monocle with the back of his hand. In the next moment, he stabbed the iron rod into the tentacle that was stuck in the hole.
Giant Baby Head: "(ΩДΩ)!!"
Soon, loud metal clangs echoed. Lynn swung the sledgehammer furiously (艹皿艹), slamming it down on the iron rod again and again, driving the tentacle deeper into the tooth hole with each blow.
Bang! "Yah—"
Bang! "Ah—"
Sparks flew as if in a thunderstorm. Lynn poured all his strength into swinging the hammer, forcing the tentacle down to the deepest part of the hole. The onlooking tentacles and the eye huddled trembling in a corner, watching Lynn wield the hammer relentlessly.
"Hurts—hurts—hurts—" The giant baby's head began thrashing wildly. Clearly, the intense, repeated impacts caused it excruciating, tearing pain.
"This is normal! Bear with it—once it's all the way in, the pain will stop immediately! Trust my professional skills!" Lynn swung the hammer over a hundred times in a row before finally pounding the potion-injected tentacle fully into the tooth hole.
"No—more—pain—" The eye stared blankly. Lynn wiped the sweat from his brow, smiled faintly, and slung the iron rod over his shoulder. "Of course. The potion's starting to work, but this is just the beginning. To get a healthy tooth, we need further treatment."
[??? Trust in You: +20]
The eye nodded vigorously up and down, showing trust cutely (????). "Mm—mm—" Clearly, after Lynn's impressive effort, the monster had grown somewhat trusting of him.
Lynn checked the time. After about five minutes, he said: "Alright! Let's get to work!" He looked up, his expression turning serious. He picked up his master's electric drill from the side and pulled the trigger sharply.
Screech—Sparks flew.
"Goggles!" Tentacles quickly handed him a pair of goggles.
"Light!" The tentacles held the eye steady, focusing the beam on the work area.
Lynn spat on his hands, gripped the drill firmly, and began the thrilling procedure on the back molar. "The inside of your tooth has been corrupted by holy energy—that's the main cause of your pain. If we don't remove all the holy matter, the pain will come back once the potion wears off."
"So we'll first clean the tooth, then fill it with a sturdy new one!"
"I—see—"
[??? Trust in You: +20]
The eye watched curiously, holding the light steady for Lynn. Screech—Screech—Lynn used the drill to grind away the glowing holy matter inside the tooth bit by bit.
"Bucket!" Lynn shouted. A tentacle shot into the shop, wrapped around a wooden bucket, and brought it over. Lynn carefully collected all the ground tooth powder into the bucket with a serious look.
"Water!" he yelled again. The same tentacle rushed back with a large water vat. Lynn cleaned off all the powder around the tooth, then his expression turned grave.
"What—else—do—you—need?" The soft, eerie voice asked, as if sensing Lynn's hesitation.
Lynn said solemnly: "I need filling material. But I don't have enough here—otherwise, I could give you a shiny steel tooth!"
"Steel?"
Lynn thought: "Exactly. But I can only restock tomorrow—it's way too late for that now…"
"I—have—steel—"
Lynn froze. Before he could process it, he felt the ground tremble beneath him, and the buildings outside blurred past rapidly. Clearly, the giant head was moving at high speed. Moments later, they stopped outside the door of a massive iron-clad structure.
Before Lynn could react, the tongue inside the maw shot out like a blade. Squelch—The entire building was split in two.
[Steel Golem]
[Level: ??????]
[Race: Golem]
[Alignment: Chaotic Evil]
[Combat Ability: Extremely High!]
[Description: Steel golems that roam the Dark World. Since gaining sentience through dark energy, these impenetrable creatures have become a nightmare for Dark World inhabitants.]
Lynn: "!!!" He'd seen one of these before. Once, a similar golem broke into their shop and wreaked havoc. His master had fought it with a chainsaw for over ten hours just to drive it away. Why was it bringing him here…?
Bang—A loud crash echoed. One of the golems inside the iron building hadn't reacted yet when the giant baby's tongue flattened it into a steel pancake.
Lynn was dumbfounded. This was absurd! They were both level ???, but the difference in strength was astronomical!
"Is—one—enough?" The baby-like voice asked.
"Uh…"
Bang—Another steel golem was flattened. "Two—?"
"That… uh…"
Bang—Bang—Bang—Bang—
"Enough! Enough! One is actually more than enough!"
...
Smelting, forging, molding. With the giant baby's tough tongue acting as a hammer, Lynn forged a steel tooth matching the shape of the hole in just a few hours. He then used strong adhesive to weld the steel tooth firmly to the back molar, followed by polishing and buffing it to a shine.
A brand-new tooth was finally restored under Lynn's skilled hands.
"Perfect!" Lynn wiped the sweat from his forehead, smiling in satisfaction, feeling his soul elevated once more.
