Ethan lunged with lightning speed. Lines of lightning dancing around him struck the ground fiercely. Dust and dry leaves flew about, blinding the vision. With dozens of magic circles behind him, he intended to attack Galadriel directly with full power. He didn't care that the palace began to shake and small debris was falling. Anger awakened his demonic side that had not been seen for a long time.
Meanwhile, Galadriel in her position prepared with a high-level shield sigil, knowing the danger of directly receiving an attack from a demon king whose power was hidden behind his friendly face. Like Ethan, dozens of magic circles floated behind her. Because of the strong wind brought by Ethan, her hair and white robe fluttered.
"Take this, Galadriel!" Ethan shouted as he was one step away from reaching Galadriel.
But unfortunately, his attack was stopped and bounced back strongly until the palace walls around shook violently. If it weren't for the palace having a small part of Ethan's power, it might have been destroyed without a trace. Even if it was destroyed, Ethan might not have cared. His wife was taken and his nation was cornered in a war triggered for unreasonable reasons. What should be done? Act naive?
"Don't think that I am an opponent you can easily defeat, you demon!" Galadriel sneered as her hands were busy holding back Ethan's tremendous attack.
"Give Aetheria back to me!"
"Give her back to you? Are you crazy? Since when did my daughter become yours?"
Ethan did not answer her, released his attack and pulled back. Among the carpets, under the chandelier that tapered downward, Ethan stared sharply at Galadriel. His hands did not stay still, beginning to gather power again in his hands. While Ethan was gathering power, Galadriel drew her divine sword and concentrated power on its blade.
When Ethan's gathered power formed a large lightning blade, and Galadriel's was like a beautiful willow wand that hides a hidden danger. At the same time, both of them stopped chanting spells, and Galadriel advanced first. "Today is the day of your death. I will definitely celebrate it lavishly on top of a pile of all your people's corpses!"
"You...!"
The impact from the fierce clash of their powers pierced the roof. Both spread their wings, shooting far into the air. The two spun in opposite directions, against the lightning flashing in the sky and colliding with the clouds. Until in the end, the two creatures called Gods faced each other again. The sharp eyes of each of them glaring, deep and piercing.
"I will show you the true power of the heavens."
In the midst of his shout, Galadriel summoned a large spell circle that covered the sky. Ethan's eyes widened feeling the great power she was gathering. In a hurry, Ethan immediately prepared a nine-layer magic to fend off the devastating attack that was coming.
Until finally, when the great sword appeared from the gap in the clouds, Ethan had difficulty holding it back. It had been a long time since winning against his father that he had not used great and brutal power. The explosion of the lightning ball earlier must have weighed on his body and mind. That difficulty made him have to take Galadriel's direct attack and fall freely to the ground.
Galadriel with her flapping wings looked happy and felt victorious. "The battle has just begun, why are you slacking off by diving?"
The sword spirits floating behind her shot towards Ethan nimbly on Galadriel's orders. While he was still trying to take control and fly and recover from his injuries, Ethan had to deal with hundreds of spirit swords heading towards him.
His eyes closed, his heart still fighting with the remnants of sanity. His heart was beating fast and his inner self kept mengeluarkan thoughts that would become his choices. "Is it really... necessary to use that? I don't want to turn into an immortal monster. I just want... to be happy with my friends and family."
The sword spirits stabbed towards him, exploding the cluster of gray clouds that were flashing with lightning. Smoke like dust from the land blocked the view, only able to see a small reddish light flickering not far from Ethan's side who was standing floating above the clouds, with both eyes closed and hands hanging as if he was gathering natural energy.
"Galadriel... truly, if it weren't for you, this world would not have a walking destruction. Under this power, only God can stop it." His voice was faint as if he had no intention of speaking.
"You want to die already and you're talking? Why don't you just accept my death calmly?" Galadriel's tone was very dismissive of Ethan.
"No. You should be the ones who surrender. Because this time I... am neither human nor God." Ethan clenched his right hand as if holding a great power above everything and below God. "I am destruction. In my hands, anything can be destroyed with just one order. Destroying you... is not difficult for me."
"Hha, are you boasting? Destruction? Under God? Is there even a God? I am the highest power in the world! The god of the sky who rules heaven!"
"You are wrong Galadriel, you are only a slave of God."
"You-"
Before he could finish his sentence, Galadriel was shocked when Ethan slowly opened his eyes, the dark red light in them suppressing all power. Red, with a star as a symbol in his hand surrounded by complicated magical writings capable of shaking heaven.
When Ethan's foot stomped forward, above the air, the sky suddenly flashed red lightning at every point where Ethan's foot stopped. A gray tornado spun, able to pull all kinds of objects even the land. The warfare that was happening below stopped, troops from both camps focused on staring at the raging sky.
"Is the battle of the Gods really that terrible?"
"Just breathing the air around it makes my whole body tremble half to death."
"If not stopped, they might be able to destroy the plains."
Different from those who did not know, Lucifer flapped his wings and flew quickly splitting the clouds to the sky. Black wings spinning, carrying his body close to Ethan to confirm his suspicion. When he saw Ethan's back, not as sturdy as usual, and an aura that no longer had cheerfulness.
"My Lord... you..."
Ethan turned around. His drooping gloomy eyes lifted, revealing an eye without limit that was said to be able to damage the balance of the world as in ancient books millions of years ago. "You really awakened it." Lucifer said.
"I asked you to find the seven divine ingredients for this, Lucifer. Although actually, I had no intention of awakening this power, until Galadriel pushed me. I am no longer part of you. I... am destruction." Ethan spoke with a smile, and a wounded heart.
Ethan's eyes looked up at the sky, light peeking there, delivering a shadow of clothing that glittered red and was struck by dark lightning. Ethan's body was coated with fire and embers of hell in the form of clothing, and a phoenix crown that tied his hair. His wings became large and black.
"Truly, it would be better if there was a chance for me to be reborn, I want to be just an ant. No one sees me, and no one sees me as a threat."
"My Lord..."
"Whatever it is, if it has come to this, then it must be finished. What do you think, Galadriel?" Ethan glanced at Galadriel behind him whose face was uneasy.
"Don't just talk a lot! Come here!"
"Alright." While speaking, Ethan stomped which made those around him shudder in horror. Their bodies responded to the arrival of the monster.
