Seeing that no chūnin had appeared, Hyūga Ming didn't bother answering their question.
He simply unleashed:
"Shuriken — Heavy Firepower!"
What kind of player actually stands around listening to NPC dialogue?
You skip the cutscene. Always.
This was the first time the three Rain ninja truly understood what it meant to be drowned beneath a storm of shuriken.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The tearing sound of air rang in their ears. Even in the darkness of night, hundreds of spinning shadows filled their vision.
"Where the hell did he get so many shuriken?!" one bald Rain ninja screamed.
Trying to escape the covered area was already impossible.
They could only draw their blades and block.
Clang!
The moment they deflected just two shuriken, their arms went numb. Their grips faltered—they could barely hold their weapons.
The remaining shuriken surged forward.
Holes were punched through their bodies in an instant—
Yet instead of blood, only flowing water spilled out.
"Water Clones?"
Hyūga Ming glanced down.
At that moment, two hands suddenly burst out of the ground and grabbed both his legs.
Substitution Technique.
His figure vanished instantly.
What remained in the Rain ninja's hands was a detonating explosive tag.
"Huh—?!"
Realizing something was wrong, the Rain ninja tried to fling it away.
Too late.
BOOM!!
The explosion roared, blooming into a fireball.
Hyūga Ming reappeared on the opposite side just as two figures rushed in from left and right, attempting to sandwich him.
But the "Hyūga Ming" between them turned into—
Another explosive tag.
BOOM!!
Hyūga Ming, now standing far away, watched as two blackened human shapes were blasted through the air.
Substitution + explosive tags.
A perfect combo.
There was still some distance, so the blast didn't kill them outright.
"Explosive tags are this good—why wouldn't you use them?"
He casually flicked two shuriken.
He had no intention of stepping in to check whether they could still fight.
The blades pierced their throats cleanly.
[EXP +456]
[EXP +487]
He bent down and picked up the drops.
Consumable: Peek G-200
Consumable: Insight D-80
"Greed Island items from Hunter x Hunter."
Hyūga Ming pocketed both cards.
Peek allowed the user to preview enemy drops.
Insight negated most illusion techniques.
Both were excellent effects—but sadly, single-use items.
Rain Village ninja drops were all Hunter x Hunter–related: Nen abilities, tools, and cards.
Hyūga Ming looked down at the ground.
"Well? You still coming out, or are you planning to suffocate down there?"
A figure slowly emerged from the earth.
It was the older Rain ninja from before—both arms gone.
Honestly… who fights like this?
Who burns explosive tags like they're free samples?
And since when could a genin throw them around like this?
And that teleporting technique—he'd never seen anything like it.
"What… what kind of jutsu is that?" the older ninja couldn't help asking.
This didn't feel like anything Rain Village possessed.
Hyūga Ming looked at him strangely.
"Substitution Technique. Don't tell me you can't use it?"
Substitution, my ass.
The Rain ninja tried to point at him—
Only to remember his arms were gone.
This level of bullshitting was insulting. He refused to believe it was substitution.
Hyūga Ming wasn't interested in continuing the conversation.
He stepped forward lightly, closing the distance in a blink. His wrist flipped, and a bronze-colored blade appeared in his hand.
The older Rain ninja closed his eyes.
With no arms, he no longer had the right to call himself a ninja.
The bronze blade flashed.
Hyūga Ming appeared behind him.
The Rain ninja collapsed to his knees, lifeless.
[EXP +753]
Strong opponent.
Too bad he never got to show it.
Hyūga Ming turned back and picked up the drop.
Exorcist Skill Fragment (1/10)
"…It actually dropped?"
"Is today my lucky day?"
Hyūga Ming immediately stored the fragment.
This was the key item to solving the Caged Bird Seal.
The Exorcist skill was one of the strongest support abilities in the game—it removed all abnormal statuses, regardless of system.
Seals like the Caged Bird were included.
The problem was that fragments dropped at an absurdly low rate.
Sometimes a trash mob dropped one.
Sometimes not even a jōnin did.
Pure luck.
"Now that I've got the first one… the second can't be far behind."
Activating the Byakugan, Hyūga Ming scanned the surroundings.
Inside the estate, Kusamori was locked in a fierce battle with a chūnin. Neither side was gaining ground.
"This guy's useless."
Hyūga Ming clicked his tongue.
His gaze shifted.
A group of civilians was fleeing rapidly.
Since Kusamori clearly wasn't ending things anytime soon, Hyūga Ming turned and sprinted toward the moving crowd—straight for the rear gate.
"Stop—!"
A maid blocked his path.
Hyūga Ming vaulted over her with a clean goat leap and kept running.
The chaos in the estate had sent everyone into panic, but most were servants and maids.
He had zero interest in them.
At the rear gate, he spotted armored soldiers escorting a lavishly dressed man.
Target confirmed.
Shuriken flew again—no need for Bear Pounce this time.
"Kunai — Suppressive Fire!"
In the night, countless kunai formed a black veil that descended upon the group.
By the time they reacted, it was already over.
Kunai harvested their lives one by one.

Once everyone was dead, Hyūga Ming stepped forward, looking at the noble's blood-soaked finery.
"Running for your life and still dressed like that."
He shook his head and picked up the only drop.
Decorative Item: Rose
"Figures."
Nobles almost always dropped decorative items.
In the late game, players unlocked a personal space called Warm Little Home.
No outside items could be brought inside—only decorative items.
"I wonder if I'll even get that feature."
Hyūga Ming rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
Even without storage, Warm Little Home could be entered anytime, anywhere.
As a safe haven—
It wasn't bad at all.
