The first year were all gathered at the notice board, checking their designated class.
Leo was checking for his class.
"Oh!, I am in class 1-C."
Suddenly the whole walkway felt an impressive pressure.
"Who is that?"
"Look it's the princess and Ed."
Leo was heading to class 1-C, he walked past the pair, while he walked away without looking at the pair, Anna smirked as she watched him going.
"Ed."
"Yes mistress."
"Who is that boy?"
"I don't know much about him, but he was the last student to qualify, as he barely passed, he is also a beginner 1 star"
"Oh!, is that so?"
"Yes."
"I need you to conduct two weeks proper search on him, I want to know everything about him."
"Yes mistress."
There is something interesting about him. Anna thought as she walked straight to class 1-A.
In class 1-C, Leo gently sits at the back of the class, staring outside from the opened window.
I need to understand my power, so as to be able to help otom and we will form the contract.
Leo noticed a shadow from the doorway, as he tried to look the shadow vanished.
"What was that?, I definitely saw something."
He walked towards the door way only to see Ed.
"Hey there."
"Hey."
Leo replied absent minded he tried looking over Ed's shoulder.
"Looking for something?"
"Not really."
Guess I was overthinking, Leo was trying to go back to his seat but Ed holds him back.
"Hey man you need something."
"Can I see you outside?"
"Why?"
Ed released a fraction of his pressure.
"It's urgent."
Leo looked at Ed and he sighs.
These is definitely not going to end well for me, well whatever.
"After you."
Ed walks up to the school top, Leo follows.
They finally reached the top.
"So what do you need me for?"
"Sorry to disturb you, but I will like to be your friend."
Leo was shocked.
"Was that why you dragged me all the way here?"
"Yes, I can't ask you in public, because of my mist…., no Anna's lackey."
"Aren't you one of them?"
"If you are a student from the beginning, you will know how I became her lackey."
"If you are saying these, aren't you under her service?"
"I am, but she gave me the freedom to make friends."
"Why am I the first person you tried to talk to?"
"Because you seem like the lonely type."
"But with your power and connections, you can literally be friends with anyone else, what's your game?"

"I don't believe you, but if you aren't ready to talk, well then I am gone."
Leo was about to walk off, but Ed charged straight towards Leo with his full strength.
His punch lands on Leo's face, but he doesn't react.
"Was that meant to do something?"
Ed panics as he backs off.
"Bo I was trying to just measure your strength, guess I was right, you are really meant to be my friend."
"And I said I am not interested."
"Okay, I will leave you for now."
"Thank you, but please don't come again."
Before he could complete his statement, Ed was long gone.
"He vanished, so I am a target but how?"
Suddenly Leo falls on his knees, blood pouring from his mouth, his nose and his eyes.
What is these, was these why he left me alone, the effect of his attack was delayed, guess I am in trouble.
he said with a shaky voice , while his vision was getting blurry, with his last strength he summons Otom.
"Hey buddy, protect my body."
That was his last statement and his vision finally went blank.
A soul chain was formed between Leo's lifeless body and Otom as the insect evolves into a 1star intermediate level.
The firefly creates a barrier around Leo.
"Sleep tight master."
Meanwhile Ed was right beside Anna.
"Mistress."
"How was he?"
"He is far smarter than we gave him credit for, and there is something unusual about him."
"What do you mean?"
"Although I was holding back, but he took the full force of my punch without flinching."
"Oh!, isn't that just great."
"I am sorry."
"Not only did you fail the three ways I gave you to use to get him, you still even ran away."
"He has a very keen sense, is ability to notice even my shadow movement was something impressive, then all the way I tried to get into his head with words and make him feel something, none worked."

"I am sorry."
"Well now you begin to follow him, get out."
Ed vanished, walking to his seat
How do I track a guy that can sense my shadow movement, I wasn't even aware he noticed me, not until I saw him right in front of me.
Leo in a dark space was floating.
"My lord!,My lord wake up."
Leo opens his eyes.
"Where is these?"
A flame was burning right in front of Leo.
"Flame!, guess I died again."
"Yes, you died these is the third time these month and we are just 5 days in."
"Sorry, guess I am still weak."
"Weak!, you are overestimating yourself, weakness is a title given to someone who has made you attempt to get stronger, but you, you are outside the whole bound of strength or weakness, you are just there."
"I promise to get stronger."
"You can't, do you know why you have no permanent skill, because your ability is whatever the universe sees you need, although you could recover them, but you are still too weak."
Leo head drops.
"How is Otom?"
"I haven't been able to help it evolve?"
"You are too useless."
"I am sorry."
"Be gone."
"Thanks for reviving me once more."
"Just leave."
Leo was sent out of the dark space, his spirit travelled back to his body.
Leo back in his body as he opens his eyes.
Guess I am back.
He looks at Otom, then noticed the little guy sleeping on his chest.
"Hey buddy, I am up."
The bug opens its eyes as it looked at Leo.
"Thanks for protecting my body."
The bug flies close to his face.
Back in the dark space.
How dumb is that guy, I can't keep doing these, how long will it take for me to reveal my true form to master, I want to be with him, but what terrifying power, the power to always revive from every death while becoming immune to the source of your previous death.
Leo heads back to his class, he noticed Otom hasn't vanished yet, so he drops her into his pocket
The home room teacher came to take attendance and then the class was about to begin.
"Good day class, I am miss Ellen, I will be your home room teacher, welcome to Preston high School, we are one of the elite among the rest we might not be the strongest or the smartest but those that holds that title always respect us, so we are no joke."
The whole class claps
"I will like for all of us to introduce ourselves to each other and then I will like to choose our class representative, who would like to go for that position."
The class all introduced themselves, after the whole introduction, a brown hair girl walks up to the front.
"I am Ellesia Valkyrie, and I was ranked third strongest among our first year, and I believe I should be the right option for such prestigious position, thank you."
The class claps for her.
"Okay anyone else?"
Nobody raised their hand.
"If we don't have any competition, then I accept miss Miss Ellesia our first ever class president."
The whole class clapped for her again.
