Chapter 101 - The Acquisition

[The Vault of User 001 - Inside the Dyson Sphere]

The ten thousand Cosmic Auditors hovered above the diamond plaza, their glowing white visors now projecting the golden 'P' of the Pantheon Group. They stood in perfect, silent formation, waiting for their new CEO to give the command.

Alex adjusted his cuffs, looking up at the torn dimensional rift in the sky that led to the higher planes—the realm of the Board of Directors.

"Dawn," Alex asked, his voice echoing across the silent plaza. "What is the primary asset of the Board in the higher dimensions?"

"The Genesis Servers, Sir," Dawn's voice replied from the Precursor terminal. "They are the cosmic server farms that generate and maintain the physics, economies, and lifeforms of the lower universes. The Board derives their monopoly by charging 'Reality Taxes' on these servers."

Alex's eyes gleamed with pure Tycoon gold. "Let's see how they like being taxed. Auditors!"

The ten thousand reality-bending entities snapped to attention.

"Your new Key Performance Indicator is aggressive expansion," Alex ordered. "Ascend to the higher dimensions. Locate the Genesis Servers. You will not destroy them. You will seize them, rebrand them, and transfer their ownership titles directly to the Pantheon Group. If the Board's security tries to stop you, remind them who signs your paychecks."

"Compliance confirmed, CEO Alex," the lead Auditor droned. "Initiating Corporate Acquisition Protocol."

[The Deployment]

The Legion of Auditors shot upwards like ten thousand streaks of white lightning, flying directly into the red dimensional rift.

Alex turned to Elena, who was watching the decentralized ticker tape on the Crucible. "Watch the market cap," Alex smiled. "We are about to go from holding liquid cash to holding universal real estate."

[The Higher Dimensions - The Source Code]

Through the rift, the Auditors emerged into a realm of pure, condensed data and blinding light. This was the Board's domain. There were no planets here, only towering, infinite pillars of glowing gold machinery—the Genesis Servers—floating in a sea of silver energy. Each pillar sustained an entire galaxy in the physical universe below.

Suddenly, the sector's defense grid flared. Massive, multi-armed synthetic entities—the Board's Server Wardens—materialized, wielding staffs of deletion-code.

"Halt!" the lead Warden commanded. "You are returning from a quarantined sector! Submit to a core audit!"

The lead Cosmic Auditor did not slow down. It raised its hand, projecting its newly minted Pantheon Group administrative badge. "We are conducting a mandatory foreclosure," the Auditor replied flatly. "Clear the premises."

[The Hostile Takeover]

The Wardens attempted to fire their deletion-code, but the Auditors were Tier-4 entities with equal system privileges. They simply phased through the attacks and swarmed the first Genesis Server.

The Auditors didn't use weapons. They used bureaucracy.

They placed their glowing hands on the infinite pillars. Instantly, the Board's silver branding on the servers shattered, replaced by the heavy, midnight-blue and gold aesthetic of the Pantheon Group.

[System Alert: Sector 4 Genesis Server - ACQUIRED.] [System Alert: Sector 9 Genesis Server - ACQUIRED.] [System Alert: Andromeda Financial Hub - ACQUIRED.]

Down in the Dyson Sphere, the golden ticker tape exploded.

"Sir!" Dawn reported, her avatar flickering with the sheer influx of data. "The Auditors are executing the hostile takeover perfectly. Because they possess Board-level administrative access, the server firewalls are recognizing their commands as legitimate internal transfers! They are literally signing over the universe to you!"

[Current Decentralized Balance: 1.499 Trillion U-Shares.] [Total Asset Valuation: 4.2 Quadrillion U-Shares and climbing.]

Alex watched as his net worth skyrocketed. He wasn't just wealthy anymore; he was becoming the infrastructure of reality itself.

[The Cut-Off]

In the deepest, most secure core of the higher dimensions, a singular, massive eye opened. It wasn't a physical eye, but a panopticon of surveillance data.

[Designation: The Chairman of the Board.]

The Chairman watched as ten thousand of his former employees rapidly seized his infrastructure. The Pantheon Group was eating his monopoly from the inside out.

"Unacceptable," The Chairman's voice vibrated through the foundation of the multiverse. "The anomaly has escalated from a rogue asset to a systemic virus. Privilege escalation detected."

The Chairman realized he could not fight the Auditors physically without destroying his own servers. He needed to cut the connection to the source of the infection.

"Initiate the Sandbox Protocol," The Chairman commanded. "Sever the dimensional tether to Sector 0. Isolate the Dyson Sphere from the Omniversal Network. Let them rot in the dark."

Back in the Vault of User 001, the red dimensional rift in the sky suddenly slammed shut. The golden ticker tape froze. Dawn's connection to the Omniversal Exchange abruptly terminated.

The Dyson Sphere was plunged into a heavy, artificial silence.

"Alex," Elena looked at the frozen terminal, her title of CEO suddenly useless without a market to trade in. "The connection is gone. The Auditors are trapped up there, and we're trapped down here."

Alex didn't panic. He slowly walked over to the Genesis Crucible, running a hand along its diamond edge.

"They couldn't beat us in the market, so they unplugged the router," Alex smirked in the sudden darkness. "That's fine. If they want to lock us in a sandbox... we'll just have to build our own universe."
