Aami's mind was flooded with memories of Amelia. Her thoughts were heavy with them.
"Dr.
Adam, my children,I haven't thought of any other world besides them. But when Edon stands before me, calling me 'mate,' I feel something I have never experienced before. I felt like calling by a name more beautiful than Amelia... When he says with such pain that, 'If you don't accept me, I will go through this entire birth as an single ,' my heart feels like it's shattering..."
The man who stood before me every single day, pleading for my love and affection. Beyond that, she could see only his pain. I have often wondered what is happening to me, doctor.
Even when I saw his true form, I wasn't afraid; instead, felt only curiosity, anticipation, and love."
Even if I set Adam aside, i wondered how could I love Edon—whom I only met yesterday—more than the children I gave birth to. What exactly is it that pulls me toward him so strongly? When he stands before me and his fingertip touches me, my entire world becomes him.
Then, at some point, I found my answer. Without even realizing it, I was becoming his... When I surrendered to him without even realizing it. It wasn't the feeling I had when I was with Adam.
It was something more—something invaluable and indefinable that had happened to my body. Since then, I felt i was inside a circle called "Edon." In that world, there was no Adam and no children. In truth, it felt uncomfortable now to even refer my children as "mine."
"Mine... for that, there is only Edon!"
Aami snapped out of her thoughts and parked her car by the side of the road. Her fingers trembled slightly as she pressed her index finger to her lips, lost in thought.
"This is how a person becomes enslaved, forgetting everything else... What exactly is the link that connects them or brings them together?"
Aami shook her head restlessly. Aami was naturally a very curious person. Being a psychologist, her curiosity was even greater, and most of her experiences were of that nature. But Amelia's case was entirely different from all of those. Something mysterious and profound had happened in her life.
Aami drove the car forward, heading straight home.... By the time she reached home, Arthur had already landed, having finished his business trip. After freshening up, she sat beside him and talked for a long time. It was only after dinner, late at night, that they went to sleep.
Aami spent a long time reading books and then, on a whim, took her laptop and searched for "warewolves". The details she found were mostly the same as what Miya had mentioned the day before. While some cultures described them as beasts, others worshipped them as deities. Although the form given to them inspired a slight fear, Aami didn't feel anything special. She preferred to believe that these might just be mythical creatures.
It is said that they are incredibly strong and exceptionally beautiful. Even otherwise, that's how it is—vampires and all such mythical creatures possess an extra bit of beauty. Poor humans.
With a smile, she closed her laptop, turned off the light, and lay down. She didn't feel like searching anymore. Otherwise, her head would just feel clouded. She felt that following this further would be like chasing a mystery. As thoughts about Amelia began to unsettle her mind, she closed her eyes, trying to control them to some extent. Perhaps due to the exhaustion of the day's wandering, Aami soon fell asleep.

Standing by the trunk of a tree, Aami peeked behind her. She could hear the sound of the sea waves, and along with it, someone's footsteps.
There was only the light of the moonlight. Aami bit her lower lip and closed her eyes with a faint smile. In the very next moment, a face appeared close to hers.
In the warmth of a breath and a close presence, she startled and opened her eyes; in that darkness, eyes of blended green and blue were glowing.
"Do you think you can run and hide from me, mate?"
It was a question asked with a hint of mockery. She stood there, staring intently at him. His face was not at all clear in that moonlight... but the heat of his body, standing so close to her, was leading Aami into a strange state... her heartbeat faltered, and her breathing quickened.
Suddenly, his right hand touched Aami 's left cheek with an indescribable gentleness, and her breath hitched. It felt like a sensation that held her still for a moment. Lightning-like shivers spread through her body, and butterflies fluttered powerfully in her stomach. Aami looked at him with fear... even that slight touch of his had completely shattered and weakened her.
Suddenly, he lowered his face closer to hers... at the same time, he took a deep breath... as if he were inhaling her scent, he let out a low, shivering sound like a moan... was there a hint of madness mixed in it?
In the next moment, with all his strength, his hands wrapped around Aami 's waist and pulled her close. As he pinned her against the tree, his powerful body pressed into hers. She struggled, feeling as though unbearable emotions were stretching and melting her body. It was something she had never known or experienced before. Adding to that intensity, as he leaned his face down, his lips met her cheek.
"DEVI..."
She called out to him. Before she could finish the word, his lips tightened over hers. It was an intense, deep kiss—wild and untamed. In her haste and longing, she didn't understand what was happening, but Aami held him tight.
Holding him firmly, she drew him closer. With a shared intensity, despite the difference in their heights, he lifted her up so there was no obstacle to their kiss. As she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist, Aami felt as if butterflies were racing through her entire body. Moving his lips from hers down to her neck, he kissed both sides of it greedily.
To Aami, each kiss felt like a drop of honey, and she felt an almost manic urge to consume him entirely.
Occasionally, he growled like an animal, lost in the heat of the moment. It felt as if her skin were being pulled tight. Between his kisses and tastes, he reached the side of her neck.
"You are mine... forever and always..."
The moment he finished saying those words, Aami's eyes bulged with sudden pain. At that same moment, her scream echoed through the forest.
