Chapter 16 - Volcano under the ash

At that moment, Nicholas was consumed by overwhelming rage, and a black halo enveloped his entire body. He activated the "Imaginary Path" and summoned his squad of killer puppets. No sooner had they appeared than the ground began to shake violently, as if an approaching earthquake were splitting the horizon.

He ordered the squad to launch an all-out assault on Victor.

Victor was terrified when he saw Nicholas's squad of killer puppets, for he had never seen them before. He felt a wave of fear upon witnessing their horrifying forms: their sharp claws and fangs, their blood-stained garments, and their crimson, bloodthirsty eyes that appeared like pools of blood.

At that moment, William intervened to stop them. He used his necklace and the "Path of Wisdom" in an attempt to halt Nicholas, but one of Nicholas's puppets delivered a powerful blow to William, knocking him to the ground. The strike was so violent that Victor heard the sound of his bones breaking.

Victor flew into a rage when he saw his teacher lying on the ground, covered in blood, unable to move. He began to weep and scream, calling out his name: "William! Wake up! Tell me, are you alright?" But William did not answer.

At that moment, Victor swore to take revenge on Nicholas.

In that very instant, his necklace ignited with a dark crimson red light.

A strange aura began to surround his slender body. The sun suddenly vanished, and the sky filled with black clouds. On the horizon, a massive storm gathered.

Suddenly, emerging from his shadow, a gigantic black snake appeared—the King Snake—with long fangs and eyes red as embers. It raised its head and stared at Victor as if awaiting his command.

Victor sighed deeply, then whispered in a voice laden with great anger: "Do I see these puppets? Tear them apart piece by piece! And let me deal with that despicable person."

The snake struck like lightning. Its strikes were not mere movements, but death sentences. The puppets fell one after another, torn apart, shattered, leaving no trace.

Suddenly, Nicholas began to laugh—a dry, mad laughter that did not resemble his voice. Signs of insanity appeared on his face, as if something within him had broken.

When Victor saw him, he shouted: "Why are you laughing, you fool? Stop, or I will kill you with my own hands!"

Nicholas turned to him, his eyes gleaming with cold madness, and said: "Let us see what you can do. I have killed many people and monsters... and I will do to you what I have always done."

Victor delivered a strong, swift blow to Nicholas that knocked him to the ground. Then he rained down a series of powerful, rapid punches upon his face, until his blood flowed like dew upon the sand. However, Nicholas managed to evade Victor's final strike, then kicked him, sending him crashing to the ground.

He then swiftly drew his sword from its sheath. Gazing at Victor with merciless eyes, he said: "Prepare for death, you fool."

He raised his sword to strike Victor, but suddenly, something knocked his sword to the ground. He turned to discover what had caused his sword to fall. He turned to see what had made his sword drop. He expected it to be the snake, but it was not. It was Admiral Fay Foss.

Admiral Fay Foss stood gazing at him from afar, then advanced toward Nicholas with steps so rapid that the sound of his footsteps could be heard as he walked.

He then stopped to inspect William lying on the ground, and said in a voice filled with anger: "Who did this to you?"

Then Admiral Fay Foss looked around, noticing Victor also lying on the ground. He looked at Nicholas and said to him: "Did you do all this?" Noticing the aura of evil emanating from him, he said: "This is what I feared would happen this time. Very well, I shall heal you so you may return to your former self."

Victor awakened and heard Admiral Fay Foss's words. He asked eagerly: "Can you do this?" Admiral Fay Foss looked at him and said: "Yes, I can. But tell me, are you alright, Victor?" Victor replied: "Yes, I am fine. How can we cure Nicholas?" Admiral Fay Foss responded: "It is not that simple. First, we must restrain him and lock him in the Room of Consciousness, and prepare doses of Kyberinio." Victor asked: "Is using the doses not dangerous?" Admiral Fay Foss answered: "Certainly dangerous, but he is only in the first stage of transformation. We must stop him before he reaches the second stage, which is far more dangerous." Victor replied: "Very well, I understand, Admiral Fay Foss."

Then Admiral Fay Foss said: "If we cannot restore him to his former state, then we must kill him." Victor was shocked to hear these words from Admiral Fay Foss, so he asked: "Why should we kill him?" Admiral Fay Foss answered: "Because he will become a danger to everyone."
