Alex was standing in the deck. Looking at the moon. Massive silvery beauty shining in the sky. The ship glided through the clouds like ship does in water. The scene was breath takingly beautiful.
The moon Alex was seeing now was different from the moon he used to see in the shore region. Apparently, there three moons in the world. Two pole moons, and the True Moon. The pole moons circle above the poles. And the True Moon orbits the world.
As Alex enjoyed the view, he heard sounds of foot steps and Aika's tired voice could be heard. Alex just chuckled. He didn't turn back.
"Alex! What kind of Lost One power did you awaken!?"
And he didn't have to because even before he looked, the Sakamo heiress excited voice rang out. Aika behind her just sighed.
Alex looked over his shoulder. He was hunched over the railing and saw Saika looking at him with her big blue eyes.
"I don't know yet."
"Really? Why not? Maybe you haven't meet specific conditions! Right!? Maybe you have something cool like a System or some Overpowered bloodline or maybe even some ability of knowledge!?"
Alex looked at Saika in surprise. She knew a lot. But it wasn't surprising given she was the sole successor of one of the Great Ten's of Japan.
Alex knew that Lost One's weren't that special of a thing nowadays because modern people treats them like some gifted people then anomalies. That's why Am city people didn't question how and why the fuck was he even inside the Sea Desert and why he didn't know anything about about world.
They connected the dots and went like, from another world, cool... and moved on.
"...Lost One's get stuff like that? And... how do you know their secrets in the first place? I don't think anyone will reveal their secrets like that."
"Well!! That because I have few servants back home who are Lost One's! I asked them and they told me! Hehe~."
Saika said. Alex narrowed his eyes. Not believing her one bit. She probably asked them until they gave in. But that didn't matter because he got to know that Lost One's get powers when they drop into this world. Moat of the time they don't have any memories and that's how the term Lost One came to be.
Alex had learned about them from ChatADP when he first got his phone. But what he heard from Saika was new.
'Interesting... there was no such things like this in the Cannon. Hmm... again proves that this is real. But getting gifts for transmigration...? I don't think I got any. My powers are definitely not a gift nor it is inherit. There is something more I'm missing...'
Alex mused internally. He then stood straight. And pulled the Cube from his pocket. He took out a pen from the box.
"Let me show you what I actually can do..."
Alex said as he put away the box.
"HOOOO~~!! YES!! YES!! SHOW ME!! SHOW ME!!"
Saika exclaimed excitedly.
"You see that Groth other there? Focus on that."
Alex said as he pointed at a monster with wings spanning 1 kilometer and a ball like body with one giant eye ball and fur all over its body. Just like the ones he he saw when he was travelling from Am city to Wark city. But these were bigger and darker.
Aika and Saika looked over. Both silently assessing the monster.
"That's a Dark Thunder Groth... a C-Rank Monster of Raphael Lineage..."
"Yes. Please look closer so you don't miss."
Alex said as he planted his left leg forward, brought his hand holding the pen back and-
'Xiao Pen, don't melt before you hit it...'
"Almighty Push!!"
"But you just flicked your wrist though...?"
Saika said innocently.
'...'
The moment the pen left Alex's hand it shot forward like a beam of yellow light in a straight line. The clouds parted. Air screamed. Shockwave slightly rustled the girls hair.
The Dark Thunder Groth who was just chilling suddenly felt chills!!
Before it could even react, a beam of light hit its body.
The Groths body caved in where the pen hit and continued forward until the pen almost came out of the other side. Its intestine turned into a squishy mess. Ball like body looked like holeless donut. Wings stopping mid flap.
Saika and Aika stared at the slowly falling Groth with wide eyes and mouth. Disbelief written on ther face. The Groth disappeared from the clouds like a ship sinking underwater.
'What was that movie? Terminator? That bird kinda reminded of the lava thumbs-up scene... could have been cool if the Groth did a bit better...'
Alex turned the the two girls. They looked him as well. A silence between them stretched awkwardly. Except for the low hum of the ship.
"OOOHH MY GOD!!! WHAT WAS THAT!? HOW DID YOU DO IT!? DIDN'T YOU SAY YOU NO GIFTS!?"
-Before Saika's excited voice 'shattered' the silence.
"Well, it's hard to explain as I myself is thinking about it and trying to figure it out. But until then, I would appreciate if you don't ask anything regarding that."
"Awww~~~ OK I guess... But you will have to tell me for sure!!"
"Yes I will~."
Alex said with a chuckl. He really like Saika's spirit. Innocent but chaotic. Infinitely curious but still respects boundaries... in her own twisted way...
"By the way, What is the the sole heiress of the Great Sakamo clan is done in Antarctica?"
"You know about Sakamo Clan?"
Aika asked, slightly surprised.
"Well, anyone can with little effort because of the Internet. And the green hair is a very Sakamo trait."
Alex explained making Aika node. But she felt she was was missing something but thought since she couldn't remember it, it might not be important.
She then processed to tell how they ended up in Antarctica of all places. A desert region.
"So basically, Saika ran away and took you with her and both of you came to Antarctica for desert ruin exploration... for what? Because your master read some story book about Wonders of Antarctica?"
"Yes. That's precisely it."
"Hey! Why would you put it like that!? That's rude!! You know how much effort I had to put in to running away without getting caught!? Ignoring you! Hmph!!"
Saika turned her head away. Pouting as she crossed her her arms.
Aika just shook her head silently.
"You think so? But I beg differ. You really think you ran away? From a clan as powerful and influential as the Sakamo clan? Especially when your their sole successor? You think they will not find you? And I bet your using a card for cash with the money you saved in the card you didn't get yourself. Probably thanking 'they won't catch me'. You didn't run away. They let you."
Alex said while shaking his head. And he was sure as hell there were hidden protectors everywhere. No way will a Great Clan be this stupid. To let go of their successor without any protection. And he also showed his powers to avoid further problems or skip stages and get straight to the root of the trouble.
'But the Sakamo's seem pretty reasonable. Or, probably didn't make a move because of Saika... doesn't matter.'
"Well then. Saika, Aika. I will retreat to my room."
Alex said as he walked passed them. Leaving behind an Aika who had a knowing look on her face and her master and a brooding Saika who was thinking hard about the possibilities.
And there were many. Saika now couldn't help but feel like she had been played by her cheap father!
