"Is the difference between one hundred percent evolved human and seventy percent evolved human that large? Cruel Sun should have bridged that gap and at least broken some of your ribs."
Vogue frowned in slight confusion.
"If it were a different person who had evolved hundred percent of their cells you were facing and you unleashed such a strike, their organs would have ruptured but it's different when facing me." Claire said offhandedly.
"Why?" Vogue frowned in further confusion.
"Not to mention taking Strength serums since I was 9, my family possess various Human-Grade techniques and even Earth-Grade techniques. Those techniques have been simplified so those that haven't undergone the Osympic Test would be able to use them to strengthen their physique."
Claire clenched her fist and the air trapped in her palm exploded with a muffled 'bang!'.
"I've been training with those manuals since I was five, it's not strange that I would be stronger than a regular peak Evolved Human."
Vogue nodded his head in understanding.
Claire was from an ancient family. One of ancestors were amongst those who underwent the first Osympic Test and passed.
Not only had that particular ancestors succeeded, they had passed the test with an D+ rating, making her family one of humanity heroes.
Within Terragrave city, there are three of such families. The Wynter family, the Holland family and the Sterling family. They are called the three major families of Terrgrave city.
There are also other minor families who have ancestors that passed with E rank rating and F rank rating. Back then, more than 90 percent of humanity failed the test and transformed into Radiants.
Even supernatural beings such as ghosts, werewolves and other creatures had to participate in the test not to mention animals!
Therefore those that survived the first test were really tough individuals as they had no preparation whatsoever. They didn't even have techniques like the Moon Breathing Art to evolve themselves, making them stronger to face the terrifying Radiants.
But now it wasn't the case. With enough preparations, and the manuals simplified and provided by the original beta testers, new generations could now evolved themselves, making their bodies, stronger and their speed, faster and their strength even more terrifying.
Even more terrifying than that was the fact that they could simplify Earth-Grade techniques and teach their descendants, it's practically cheating for real!
Typically, one's body before the Osympic test was incredibly weak and can't withstand practicing a Human-Grade technique even with 100 evolved cells or the body would collapse from exhaustion and blood loss.
Vogue scratched his head. "Uhm, will you be able to teach me?"
Claire was stunned but then giggled cutely. "I'd have to kill you if I taught you my family secret techniques."
This made Vogue laugh awkwardly.
Suddenly, Claire paused, turning to hang the towel as she glance at Vogue. "There's another way though."
Vogue's eyes lit up. "What way?"
If he could learn the techniques, then his strength would improve even further.
"You marry into the Wynter family." Claire casually replied.
Vogue's eyes twitched but the he smirked. "If it's you, I wouldn't mind thinking about it."
."You are too weak." She stared as a matter of fact.
This statement made Vogue almost choke on his own spit and he glared at her and muttered. "Not for long."
"Alright, let continue." Claire stretched her muscles and flashed, appearing on the ring's rope with her arm folded and her eyes lighting up.
Vogue was stunned. "Don't you want to learn Cruel Sun?"
"We will start tomorrow. Today, I want to fight to my heart's content!" A maniac smile appeared in her face as she punched her fists together, creating a muffled shockwave.
Vogue shook his head. This lady was literally insane. The only thing that could break through her icy exterior was an intense fight.
Vogue took a step forward and his body flashed as he landed softly on the arena.
"Whenever you're— "
Vogue's face changed as he watched her vanished.
"Shit!"
He cursed and stomp his feet to the ground.l as he activated the fourth move of the Basic Axe Technique.
"Moon Cycle!"
Instantly, the combination of all three moves, Falling sun, Steller path, and Cross guard surged through Vogue's body in a smooth wave.
With the fourth technique, every attacks he makes activates the falling sun move, every steps he takes activates the Steller path move and every defensive move he makes automatically activates the cross guard technique!
Vogue's thigh muscles expanded and then burst out with immense speed.
He immediately crossed thirty meters in a single step, his hand forming a knife as he slashed at the empty air before him!
"Boom!"
Clare's figure blurred into existence as she blocked the technique with her elbow. Then released a punch directly at Vogue's chest.
Vogue roared and punched out also.
"Boom!"
Their fists collided, creating a muffled sound of thunder and shockwave.
The two of them took a step back but Claire received before he did.
By the time he recovered her fist was already half way to him.
Vogue growled and immediately took a step forward as he rammed a head butt directly to her fist.
"Bang!"
Vogue felt as though he had been hit by a hammer as his skull rattled.
However, Claire's eyes widened and her head tilted backward uncontrollably as a fist punched her jaw!
Vogue was taking the root of 'exchanging injury for injury!'
She took a step backward from the force and wiped her smudged lipstick with the back of her hand.
She suddenly tilted her head to the ceiling and laughed. "Hahaha! Just like that! Stop holding back!"
Her figure moved as she punched outward. Vogue didn't hesitate and punched out also as they attacked each other with all their might!
"Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!"
Explosions rang out through the entire gym!
Even Manager Tim homemade to check up on the special customer and see if Vogue was satisfying her need immediately left with a smile once he heard the sounds coming out from the room.
He knew he had chosen the best person for the job. He would surely reward Vogue properly. But thinking about how bad the kid was injured the last time he was here, Manager Tim felt a little guilty but he shook the feeling out.
Business was business. If everything he felt guilty, he acts on it, he would never make a living.
With that he turned around and left.
