My head throbbed. It felt like someone had taken a sledgehammer to it.
A small groan left my lips as I turned over in my bed, trying to find a comfortable position that didn't make my body feel like it was run over with a tractor.
I buried my face into my pillow, inhaling the scent of shaved wood and gas… wait, that wasn't right.
My eyes flew open and panic set in instantly.
The room I was in was pitch black. There were no windows so I could not make out anything in front of me. The smell of gas was strong, it filled the entire place. I tried to stand and something bit hard into my wrist earning a hiss from me.
Awareness set in slowly as memories began to come back to me: the forest, Henry, the wolf's bane ropes.
I screamed as loud as my lungs could muster. "Help!"
