Lord Reincarnation flicked his wrist, and the dice floated from the ground back into Allen's hand.
The six orbs of different colors reappeared and hovering back into position beside each other.
Allen raised his enclosed hand holding the dice to his mouth and whispered into it like he was telling it a secret. "Okay, give me something good, give me something good."
He threw the roll again, watching it tumble across the floor. This time it landed on a four.
The other orbs disappeared and the purple colored one moved forward and highlighted into a screen.
[Congrats! You have Gained an Epic Grade Gift][Gift → Epic Grade Perk; All Class][
All Class Perk → This perk grants you access to all known classes on Planet Charvis; Saber, Ranger, Warrior, Caster, Guardian & Summoner]
"Not bad, not bad," Lord Reincarnation said, nodding approvingly.
Allen looked surprised. "Not bad? Man, shouldn't this be like a Mythic Grade gift?"
Lord Reincarnation laughed and waved his hand dismissively. "Oh c'mon, there are much better things out there. But I mean, given the planet's world system, I'd say an All Class perk is also perfect."
He gestured impatiently with his hands and said, "Now you have three more rolls. Get on with it."
Allen nodded as he grabbed onto the dice that had floated back towards him. He rolled, and it tumbled before landing on a five.
"Niceeee," Allen said with a grin.
Lord Reincarnation clapped his hands together. "Legendary! That's wonderful!"
A golden screen appeared;
[Congrats! You have Gained a Legendary Grade Gift]
[Ragnarok → A powerful weapon with a soul. To unlock its true potential, the wielder must bond with it. If not, it is merely a double-edged sword]
Allen stared at the screen, then looked up at Lord Reincarnation. "What does the bonding mean? And how do i even go about it?"
Lord Reincarnation leaned back in his Sofa with a smirk on his face, then said "I will tell you absolutely nothing about the gifts you receive here. You are to figure them out."
Allen rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Of course. Why would you make anything easy?"
"Where's the fun in that?" Lord Reincarnation replied cheerfully.
Allen sighed. "Alright, let's go for the fourth roll."
This time he picked up the dice, then rolled. it tumbled across the floor before landing finally on a one.
Allen's face dropped.
Lord Reincarnation winced. "Total vibe killer, for real."
[Congrats! You have Gained a High Grade Gift][Gift → Eyes of the Sage]
[Eyes Of The Sage → This allows you to see minute details with great clarity, which helps with overall comprehension]
Allen scratched his head. "I mean, if you think about it, it's not exactly bad."
"Boringggg," Lord Reincarnation called out, dragging the word like a kid complaining about homework.
He waved his hand lazily and said "Last roll, please." looking completely uninterested in the High Grade item as though it personally offended him.
Allen took a deep breath as he prepared for the last roll. This was it.
He gripped the dice tightly and muttered, "Alright, give me that good luck now."
Even Lord Reincarnation leaned forward, watching intently. The angel maids stopped whatever they were doing and floated closer.
Allen rolled the dice.
It spun.
And spun.
And spun some more.
Then it landed.
A six.
"YES!" Allen yelled, throwing his fist in the air.
"YOOOO!" Lord Reincarnation shouted at the same time as he stood from his sofa.
Suddenly, a confetti cannon materialized in Lord Reincarnation's hand, and he popped it. This made different colors of confetti explode into the air before raining down on all of them.
[Congrats! You have Gained a Mythic Grade Gift][Gift → Infinite Mana Perk]
[Infinite Mana Perk → With the Infinite Mana Perk, you're able to use a variety of spells and techniques without ever having the fear of running out of mana]
Allen smiled and nodded in excitement.
Lord Reincarnation still holding the confetti cannon said, "I won't lie, man. That is one gold roll."
He tossed the cannon aside, and it vanished mid-air. "Two Mythics, one Legendary, one Epic, and one High Grade. Honestly? You're set."
Allen just had smiles on his face right now.
Lord Reincarnation clapped his hands together. "Alright, now we head to one important thing and that's who to reincarnate you in."
He sat back on his sofa then rubbed his chin thoughtfully and said, "it has to be someone who just died or is on the verge of death."
Lord Reincarnation turned to the angel maid holding the tablet and gestured.
"Hand me that tab, please."
The silver-haired maid, Lilly, floated forward and handed it over. The moment the tablet touched his palms, it enlarged to the size of a laptop screen.
Then He gestured to Allen and said, "Come forward."
Allen approached, and as he looked at the screen, he saw pictures of people arranged in a grid.
Each picture had something like profile details tagged underneath. It showed their names, ages, a bit of background, and how many minutes ago they died or if they were on the verge of death.
Lord Reincarnation scrolled through it casually while muttering a few words. "Nicholas, 16, parents died, poor background, a no-magic kid…"
He made a disgusted face. "Nahhh, not that cliche piece of shit."
Allen leaned in and said, "Yeah, I totally agree."
They scrolled past a few more, and Lord Reincarnation stopped on another one. He read it out. "Prince Nartak, goblin prince. Died at age 12, decent magic power…"
Allen immediately cut him off. "Skip. I'm not about to be a green man, and I totally hate goblins."
"Fair enough." Lord Reincarnation said.
He continued scrolling, flipping through dozens of profiles. Some looked tragic. Some looked boring, and some looked downright ridiculous.
Just as Lord Reincarnation was about to scroll past another one, Allen suddenly leaned forward and tapped the screen.
"Wait, stop."
Lord Reincarnation paused mid-scroll.
Allen pulled the screen closer and scrolled back up himself, returning to a page they'd just passed.
His eyes locked onto one profile.
It read:
[Ethan A. Stark]
[Age: 18/??]
[Background: Comes from respectable background. Yet to full information confirm as of time of death]
[Race: Appears human, but seems to be a hybrid of two races, yet to confirm as of time of death]
Lord Reincarnation squinted at the incomplete information and immediately turned toward Lilly with an annoyed expression.
"Oh c'mon, Lilly. Can you at least catalogue these dead folks right?"
The angel maid immed apologized in a timid voice. "It's like that because he's not fully dead yet. We usually get the full information when he dies completely."
Allen simply pointed at the screen. "That's my guy. Put me in that one."
Lord Reincarnation turned toward him with a raised eyebrow. "You do know the information on this guy is incomplete and hasn't been verified until he passes fully, right?"
Allen nodded and said, "Yes, but so far, he's the only one that's stood out."
He gestured at the screen and continued,"Respectable background? See? No way I'm going to a new world and trying to start out in the body of a kid with no money. I think I used to hate webnovels like that too."
Then he crossed his arms and added, "Plus, there's no nobility in poverty, I've been a rich man, and I've been a poor man, and I choose rich every fuckin' time!"
Lord Reincarnation replied, "Ah I see, a wolf of wall street fan." Then he grinned and added, "Alright. I respect that."
Allen was also referencing the fact that before he landed his big job in Manhattan, he and his family used to struggle.
They owed money constantly, were always behind on bills. He'd left that life behind, and he wasn't about to willingly go back to it, even in another world.
Lord Reincarnation nodded and waved his hand. "Now one last thing before you go. I'll need to fix up a few things concerning the gifts you've received, especially the system. Give me a second."
In that moment, a holographic screen popped up before Lord Reincarnation. It looked exactly like a status window from the manhwas Allen used to read.
Lord Reincarnation moved his hands around the screen, tapping icons, dragging sliders and typing in new things onto it.
He was practically setting up the status window, although he moved so fast it was hard to follow.
Then he stopped and cracked his knuckles. "Alright, it's done. I think you're absolutely ready to go now."
The screen disappeared afterwards and Lord Reincarnation stood before Allen and said, "I'm not a boring lord, so I'll let you keep all these memories from my throne room."
He paused, then added, "But I'll take one memory away from you."
Allen frowned. "What memory?"
Lord Reincarnation smiled and said.m "The part where you need to remember that you should live an interesting life."
Allen looked puzzled.
Lord Reincarnation continued. "I don't need you forcing yourself to live in a particular way you think is interesting just so I can win. When one lives as they please, that's when life becomes interesting. So go and live however you find pleasing."
Allen stared at him for a moment, then smiled and stretched his hand forward. Lord Reincarnation reached out as well, and they shook each other.
"I'm not happy I died too early at 21," Allen said, "but the last few minutes have been something."
Lord Reincarnation grinned. "Don't just make me lose, man." He released Allen's hand. "Now off you go."
And with that, Allen's soul began to glow brightly. The light intensified, and then in an instant, Allen disappeared.
The throne room went silent for a second.
Lord Reincarnation stood there for a moment, hands in his pockets, staring at the empty space where Allen had just disappeared from.
Then he turned to the other angel and grinned. "Yo, Joan Start the camera. I wanna record this kid's journey."
Joan nodded and summoned a glowing crystal orb.
Lord Reincarnation sat and leaned back on his Sofa with a smirk on his face. Crossed his legs once more and said,
"Let's see what you got, Allen."
