Why can't I see anything?
Magnus slowly stirred on the soft sandy floor... Wait sand?
His eyes snapped open as his body launched itself upright in a defensive posture, A instinct honed by years of living near cut-throat bandits and criminals of every kind.
But what he saw was not a enemy nor the tunnel where he had fallen unconscious, His mouth fell open in silent shock as he beheld the scene before him.
The bleached bone white sand stretched across the horizon like a flowing sea of white, Sharp mountains of obsidian erupted from the pale sand in irregular patterns, some only a few hundred meters tall while other stretched so far into the starless sky it was impossible to see where the obsidian ended and where the sky began, the sky contained only strange noxious looking purple clouds that let out a etherial glow illuminating the endless while plains.
Magnus stared at the seemingly infinite desert for a couple moments before a distant screech pierced through the dull stagnant air shocking him out of his disconcertment.
It did not matter whether he had been somehow moved to a desert planet while the strange flesh like object, most likely a mental disruptor of some kind, had knocked him out or he was having the second strangest hallucination of his life, without hesitation he started looking around and began to search for the nearest high ground before finally finding a mountain and beginning the accent.

The sound of heavy breathing and deplorable language rang through the air as Magnus cursed himself for his instinctive but sadly logical choice to see the surrounding land and get a lay of the land."Dammit, stupid people dropping a 17 year old boy in the middle of nowhere! or did I eat some of those weird mushrooms again?"
'Drip' a single drop of blood splashed upon the ground, Magnus, tired beyond belief, had cut himself unwittingly on several particularly jagged spikes, a faint jingling sound suddenly caught his attention, perhaps the kidnappers had set up camp somewhere on this mountain? Eyes narrowing he began to slowly crawl alongside the steep cliff towards the faint jingle which grew louder every step he took, after a gruelling few minutes he found himself collapsed on a ledge which lead to a rather ominous looking cavern.
...This looks like one of those horrible traps the dumbass horror movie character falls for ,Magnus thought rather self deprecatingly as he gazed at the pitch black entrance "Great just great" He clutched at his face with one hand in resigned disbelief the other reaching into his pouch for a spare flashlight "First I most likely got kidnapped for some reason and right after that I wake up on what appears to be a entirely different planet and look at me now...walking into a creepy cave because of some bells I heard"
Slowly stepping inside the cavern, a silent war raging in his head, Magnus begun searching the cave for anything that might be of use.
Within the cave he immediately saw a massive carving engraved into the obsidian walls of the cave, It depicted a massive cloaked figure standing on a singular cloud, a crown hovered above his head and in his outstretched palm a single plain looking key could be seen, the final part of the carving showed three Angels, at least thats what Magnus thought they were, hovering around the figure.
At the very bottom a strange scripture of some kind could be seen almost hastily scratched on the wall.
'Oh knowledge we look to you with our fervent eyes'
'Blessed we are that you hear our cries'
'The day of your decent our horns shall bellow'
'And on that day you shall shroud the stars in Gold and Yellow'
Feeling a strange chill go down his spine Magnus turned away and began to search, after all if someone carved this creepy looking mural then there must be some evidence of their existence. Not soon after Magnus found himself staring at the odd assortment of items he had gathered, a strange beetle made of stone he had almost mistaken for a rock, a old rusty looking bell that had been hanging on the ceiling, a small sheathed dagger and finally a rather rusty spear, the dagger and spear had been found lying next to one another, what do these four even have to do with each other or the mural?
Magnus put the dagger and bell in his pouch and picked up the spear "this won't do much against a plasma gun but at least its something" the three items now secured Magnus walked back out the cave glad to be free of the strangely oppressive feeling the mural had given him.
