Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3:

Days pass in blur as usual. Working till evening, then meeting Jeremy and going out. No matter how exhauted I'm — knowing that I'm going to meet him always comfort me, his smile, his presence, It's all steady. He was mine. Everything was perfect. Until one day, it wasn't.

My phone rang in the middle of the afternoon. An unknown number. I almost ignored it.

I wish I had.

The voice through phone came suddenly, slicing through the afternoon like a blade. An accident, they said. My hands trembled so badly I nearly dropped my phone.

The world tilted. I don't remember grabbing my bag, and running out of my office building. I only remember running—heart pounding—as if getting there faster could undo whatever had already happened.

But when I arrived, something felt wrong.

Too wrong.

The doctors avoiding my gaze, Nurses whispers. And when he let me see him, the word accident shattered into a lie I could no longer believe.

This wasn't a crash.

This wasn't chance or fate being cruel.

This was violence.

His injuries told a story no one wanted to say out loud—bruises where hands shouldn't have been, wounds that spoke of rage, not impact. Someone hadn't just hurt him.

Someone had wanted him gone because I love him.

My knees gave out. I gripped the edge of the bed, shaking, staring at the man who used to hold me like I was something precious. The room felt suffocating.

And then it hit me. This wasn't random.

"He did this," I whispered, the truth cutting through my chest like glass. Ivan. The thought settled in my bones, heavy and undeniable. He hadn't let go—he'd just been waiting.

By the time the machines fell silent, I understood something terrifying.

I lost the man I loved. All because of Ivan's "Jealousy and Obsession?"

My mind clouded with thoughts like "What if he didn't make it?" No... I can't Imagine my life without him.
