Kael woke up feeling very lightheaded, and the first thing he saw plastered on his line of sight was this interface. It wasn't a foreign one, he had been very familiar with it in his past life.

Everything checked out. The demon points were still the same as he remembered. Although he was still a long way from maxing out any of them.

He would be able to ascend to the next tier the moment any one of them reached a hundred.

In his past life, Kael had maxed out both epic and common points, and although he had a few true demon points, he had evolved before they reached a hundred points. He didn't have a single sacred demon point, but he had still been able to lord over most of his peers.

There were a lot of things he had no knowledge of on the interface, and before he could explore any further, a voice came from his side.

"It seems you're back to normal," the doctor who had strapped him to this bed said.

The interface vanished and Kael got a good look at him: he sat on a small chair towards Kael's left, with a book and pen in hand. He was writing down something, but stopped when he noticed Kael had woken up.

"Yeah…" Kael replied, a bit out of it. He could remember what happened a few minutes ago and it left a bad feeling in his gut. He hadn't been himself at that time, and the thought of it sent shivers down his spine.

"Let's do a quick test to see if you are back to yourself." The doctor then stretched out a single finger and asked, "What's this?"

Almost instinctively, Kael replied, "One."

The doctor nodded and stretched out two fingers.

"Two," he answered once more.

The doctor twisted his fingers to form the shape of a flying insect. "And this?" He asked Kael.

"A…butterfly? I'm not really sure."

The doctor smiled. "It seems you're good to go." Then he began removing the leather bindings, keeping Kael in place.

Before long, Kael was finally free, and he stretched his limbs a bit.

He could feel the power in his joints when he moved, and this made a grin appear on his face. Luckily, he had been accustomed to great power during his past life; otherwise, he would most likely have broken the bed by accident.

Not everyone got such a massive boost of strength after receiving a class. Most people didn't even get a boost at all. It just depends on the type of class one received.

He hadn't had time to thoroughly check what class he had gotten but he was sure it was a double letter class, something along the lines of…primal hunter.

He had never heard of such a class so he couldn't tell whether it was a good or bad one.

The Hunter class was one of the better single-letter classes, so by all standards, Primal Hunter should also be good. Before he could think any further, he heard the doctor's voice.

"When you leave, head to the receptionist's counter and get yourself a membership card. The 5000 don covers that, so you don't need to pay extra."

Kael nodded and headed for the exit when the other man, who hadn't said a word the entire time, called for him.

"Kael…was it?"

And although he had no memory of giving the man his name, he still replied, "Yeah?"

"What class did you get," the man asked blatantly in his deep and cracked voice.

Although classes weren't a secret and a person's class was rather common knowledge, the way he had asked still made Kael frown. He answered nevertheless.

"Primal Hunter,"

The man's forehead creased as he tried to remember if he knew such a class. He had been doing this job for over a year, and he believed himself knowledgeable about all existing classes, but he still couldn't place it.

He shook his head in the end and wrote something into the crystal ball in front of him.

"You can go," he said to Kael who was still standing.

Without another word, he passed through the exit and appeared at another waiting area.

He noticed the receptionist's counter and went over.

But he was stopped by a man in formal attire. Although he dressed alright the man looked pale and unkempt. He walked towards Kael with frantic steps, only stopping in front of him.

"Hey there, I'm Rin Po, a representative from the Celestial Sect."

Kael immediately raised a brow. He knew the Celestial Sect; in fact, everyone in this area knew them. They were the number one guild in this region.

The other people who had plans of recruiting Kael gave up when they saw Rin Po get to him.

Rin Po smiled when he noticed Kael's interest and continued, "How would you like to become a part of the Celestial Sect. As long as you sign an exclusive contract with us right now you'll be paid 500 don every month. Of course, this will also increase as your hunter's rank increases."

Truth be told, it had been the previous Kael's dream to join the Celestial Sect, but unlike him, who saw them as the most powerful in the world, the current Kael didn't think they were all that.

"I'll need some time to think about it," he said to Rin Po.

Rin Po frowned, but didn't say anything.

Placing his hand into his jacket, he retrieved a business card and handed it to Kael.

"You can reach me with this when you're done thinking."

If his job wasn't on the line he would even have bothered with the kid. Yet he dared to turn him down. This left a sour taste in Rin Po's mouth.

Kael took the card and excused himself.

In his previous life, he had turned down S-rank guilds, so there was nothing special about this Celestial Sect.

He reached the receptionist's counter and, after answering some questions, was able to register as an official member of the hunters' association.

The receptionist, a blonde lady with deep brown eyes and a smile that Kael doubted could leave her face, handed him a card after processing his information.

With a thank you, he accepted it and read it.

On the card was his name, date of birth, class, ID number, and hunter rank.

The Hunter rank read "Unassigned."

As if reading his thoughts the receptionist explained.

"You need to graduate from either Military training or the Hunter's College to get an official rank. If you get into the Hunter's College it will be changed to Aspirant."

Kael had an enlightened look as he thanked her once more.

There was nothing else to do so he left the guild.

Unknown to him, a pair of eyes from within a dark alley followed him as he walked down the street.

The hooded figure then left the confines of the shadows and trailed behind him.
