Chapter 30 - FIRST MEETING

As the popularity of the drama increased online, the popularity of the main cast members also rose.

As of the current broadcast, the most talked-about topic is naturally the female lead, Kim Hye-yoon, who is far ahead. After all, this is a drama focused on the female lead, so such a result is understandable.

However, the second most talked-about topic is Kwon Hyuk, and the welcome plot of the male second surpassing the male first has appeared.

The last one with a similar effect was Lee Do, whose supporting role, Go Cheong-myeong, in Hotel Del Luna, despite limited screen time, gained popularity that almost caught up to the male lead.

Kwon Hyuk's acting skills improved rapidly, allowing the audience to feel more immersed in front of the camera. Secondly, his character design added points.

As of now, several commercial, endorsement, and event invitations have been extended to Kwon Hyuk.

But he pushed back on everything he could.

The drama will finish broadcasting in November. The next audition is for Dr.Romantic Season 2, which will begin filming in January of next year. A sequel to a hugely popular drama has a high probability of success, and at that time, his value will rise significantly again.

He also read the script for romantic doctor, teacher kim. The role he auditioned for is still the male second, playing a genius doctor with a somewhat reclusive personality.

The character structure of this drama is somewhat special. Besides Teacher Kim, the male first in the drama's title, the focus of this drama is the scenes between the male second, whom Kwon Hyuk auditioned for, and Lee Sung-kyung, who has already been confirmed to play the female first. The story will also mainly carry the emotional storyline.

If Extraordinary You was a starting point, where he began to show his talent, then Dr.Romantic Season 2 will be his breakout work, leading to a soaring career.

"Daebak! What's the next plot? How will you pursue Eun Dan-oh then?"

Park Ji-hyo sent him a message, asking about the upcoming plot, extremely curious.

Clearly, she was also engrossed in watching the drama, completely immersed.

"Please look forward to it!"

Kwon Hyuk chose to keep it a secret.

"Yah, that's so rude! It's fine if you tell me, I won't tell anyone else."

Park Ji-hyo truly hadn't expected this drama to become so popular, and for Kwon Hyuk's popularity to suddenly explode like a firecracker.

"It wouldn't be fun if I told you. Then you wouldn't be interested when you watch it."

Kwon Hyuk, of course, knew what the subsequent plot would be like, including parts the screenwriter hadn't even written yet.

In later years, the only criticized aspect of this drama was its terrible plot in the later stages, starting strong and ending weakly, with many viewers scolding the screenwriter.

Although he currently has some influence, it would still be a bit far-fetched to expect to significantly alter the screenwriter's plot; he doesn't have that much say.

"...Alright, how boring."

Park Ji-hyo was disheartened, but she didn't care that much.

"We'll be there soon, about ten minutes!"

"OK."

Kwon Hyuk put away his phone and looked at Kim Ro-woon beside him, "They'll be here soon."

"Alright."

Kim Ro-woon was used by him as a tool; otherwise, it would be improper for him to meet two girls alone, and if the media caught wind of it, it would be chaotic.

"You're really bold."

Kwon Hyuk smiled indifferently after hearing him say that, "There always needs to be something to spice up life. Is it wrong for an actor to have a girlfriend to keep from getting too deep into character?"

"That's true, you're not afraid anyway."

Kim Ro-woon and he were close, so he spoke frankly now.

An actor's private life is not the main focus; dating will be discussed and have an impact, but it's harmless and won't damage one's appeal or reputation, even for idols.

Not to mention, Kwon Hyuk has strong backing. He can date openly as long as he doesn't mess around, as it won't affect much. After all, actors still rely on their works to speak, unlike idols who are much more restricted.

"That's not quite right, I'm afraid too, of course."

"I can't tell."

Kim Ro-woon is very good at hiding things; he never shows his hand, after all, his main profession is still an idol. If his fans found out he was dating, he would be finished. He wouldn't be able to be an actor either, and his life would directly hit rock bottom.

While the two were chatting, Park Ji-hyo and Tzuyu arrived at the restaurant. Kwon Hyuk had reserved a private room in advance for privacy.

So, when Kwon Hyuk saw them, he was wearing a mask and a hat, just like last time.

"Two big actors."

Park Ji-hyo came in, saw them, and jokingly teased them with a smile, pulling Tzuyu to sit down.

Tzuyu is not an outgoing person, that is undeniable, but her personality isn't overly introverted either.

Having stood on countless large stages and interacted with countless fans, it's highly unlikely she would be a girl who stutters and can barely say a few words.

She smiled and greeted them both.

This was the first time Kwon Hyuk saw the real Tzuyu, not just online. In person, she was even more beautiful, slimmer, and more striking than on screen.

A girl over 1.7 meters tall is rare in Korea, and her posture is exceptionally good, standing tall and graceful. This aura alone is enough to make her stand out among the crowded idol group.

At a glance, a mix of dignified and pure aura, with a well-endowed and curvaceous figure.

No wonder she's a top-tier popular idol; it makes sense.

Most Korean fans should have seen her offline, so they can personally witness Tzuyu's outstanding presence among idols, and it's no surprise why so many fans praise her real-life beauty.

However, everyone loses some charm when facing the camera, which is why some people are puzzled or even scoff at why Tzuyu is held in such high regard in Korea.

If she were Korean, she would likely have everything. This is the honest evaluation given by Koreans.

"Hello."

Kwon Hyuk has developed a habit now; he likes to shake hands with everyone he meets for the first time. The reason for this is self-explanatory.

Tzuyu extended her hand and lightly shook his before letting go.

Kwon Hyuk felt a stream of information appear in his mind, mostly related to Twice, with no new information to speak of.

It was even quite ordinary.

This also made Kwon Hyuk a bit confused. Tzuyu's popularity was far ahead, so logically, she should have her own development in the future. Why was it still only group activities besides group activities?

Perhaps he felt the information was still too fragmented, so he temporarily stopped speculating on these things and instead focused on the dinner gathering at hand.

This meal was for Tzuyu, so what else would he do if he didn't chat with her?

"It seems this is the first time I've seen you in person."

Kwon Hyuk looked at Tzuyu and said with a smile.

"Right? Isn't she beautiful? Everyone who sees her praises her."

Park Ji-hyo, who was beside her, quickly spoke for Tzuyu, feeling proud of her.

"Exactly."

Kwon Hyuk glanced at Park Ji-hyo, then turned his gaze back to Tzuyu and nodded.

"I am your fan, ever since your debut."

He switched to Chinese, praising her in fluent Chinese, though what he said was a blatant lie.

Tzuyu heard him speak Chinese, and her gentle smile showed a slight surprise, her smile giving a very sincere feeling.

"Your Mandarin is very authentic."

One can only say that Taiwanese girls speak softly.
