Chapter 3 - Extreme Spear

Yulan calendar, year 9980, spring.

Hess City, Kiran Mansion.

In a courtyard, a 6-year-old child, with brown hair and his height a little higher than average, with elegant clothes, which shows that he is not an ordinary child.

Ha! Ha! Ha!

In his hand there was a wooden spear, where he performed thrusts, his expression seemed quite determined, the thrust, it seemed that the leaves dry on the ground, moved.

"Master Myth, please don't force your body too hard, if the madam knew that I'm allowing you to cross the line, I'll be punished," said the old butler with a tired expression, from trying so hard to persuade him.

"I've already told you, no pain, no gain, if I want to achieve something in the future, I must try my best, so there's no point in trying to convince myself." Myth stopped his movements for a moment and then went back to training,

While Myth was distracted by the training, a plain-looking man exudes an aura of an expert, someone who cannot be provoked.

Slowly approaching, then he spoke, "Thyrus, you can come back, let me deal with this kid."

Following the order, Thyrus turns around and walks back to the mansion.

Now focusing his eyes on his son, Aleric put one hand on the cheese and noticed that his son had grown up, maybe it was time to teach him something new.

Then he said, "Myth, maybe it's time for me to teach you the family spear technique, don't underestimate it, it's thanks to her that our family has become a centenarian family that survives to this day, many people covet this technique, and many have tried to steal, it was in such an indecent way that your grandmother died and we lost the last saint of the family."

Myth noticed the strangeness of his new father, as reincarnated, he already recognized the world he is reincarnated in in the coiling dragon universe, it is not easy to live in a place that is similar to the medieval era, but with magical powers, such as magic and douqi, but also had several opportunities, anyone who reached the Saint level, it would mean unlimited life expectancy.

"So son, now you'll know why I forced you to practice spear techniques, because our ancestral technique is called the Extreme Spear Technique, a technique that can help people understand what it takes to reach the shrine."

"However, everyone's talent is different, even if this technique helps, it doesn't mean that you will become a saint, I'm stuck at warrior level 8 and I can't move to the next level, I always feel that the difference is like a sheet of paper, however it's as far away as heaven and earth. So don't underestimate the technique and don't overestimate yourself."

"I'm not going to explain everything at first, because it would be useless, let's start with the basics, and see if you're fit, let's start with: Posture, Thrusts, Spins and Balance"

Posture

If the feet are wrong, the strength does not go up. If the spine is crooked, the boom loses accuracy. If the shoulders are tense, the spear trembles.

Correct posture makes it:

the entire body is aligned behind the tip of the spear.

No posture, no matter how strong you are. The blow comes out weak.

Lunges

The thrust is the most important blow of the spear.

It is the act of pushing the spear forward in a straight line. But it's not just the arm that moves, the whole body participates.

Each lunge teaches:

Direction

Strength

Accuracy

Coordination

Spins

The spins are what bring the spear to life.

Turning the spear teaches:

Hand control

Quick change of direction

Fluidity

A spear that does not rotate is slow. A slow spear is easy to avoid.

Balance

Balance is not falling, not tripping, not losing balance after attacking.

If you lose your balance after a hit, the enemy wins.

That's why Myth, you need to train:

Standing on one foot

Striking without falling

Changing direction without losing stability

The body needs to be ready for the next attack.

Small flowers sprouted between the stones, and a light breeze carried the smell of earth and new leaves.

Myth Kiran stood there, standing in front of a wooden stake stuck in the ground.

His bare feet felt the gentle cold of the earth. The small training spear rested in his hands. The handle was smooth, already a little worn out from being used so much.

Her brown hair moved in the wind.

In front of him, only the stake.

"Myth," Aleric said in a calm voice. "Posture."

The boy adjusted his feet, a little further apart. He straightened his spine, relaxed his shoulders, and tightened his grip on the spear.

"Thrust."

He inhaled slowly.

The back foot pressed the ground. The hip turned. The spear moved forward.

Thump.

The tip hit the stake, entering the wood a little.

It wasn't strong. But it was direct.

"Again."

Myth retracted his spear and repeated.

Thump.

Again.

Thump.

The sun rose slowly, warming his back. Sweat began to run down his forehead. His arms ached, but he kept going.

Each stroke felt a little more stable. A little cleaner.

"Do you understand?" asked Aleric.

Myth took a deep breath and nodded.

"It's not just the arm... My whole body is pushing."

The Aleric watched in silence for a moment, then gave a slight nod.

"This is how the Extreme Spear begins."

"Lend me the spear, I'll give you a demonstration." then Myth handed him the spear, but in Aleric's hands, the spear seemed a little small.

"Myth, note, the extreme spear is a technique that is utilized by combining technique and douqi."

He positioned himself in front of a thicker stake, made of hard wood.

His feet settled on the ground. The spear slowly spun between his fingers, describing a gentle circle in the air.

A thread of douqi began to emerge around the handle, almost invisible, causing small wind currents to swirl around the tip.

"Don't just push the spear," said the Aleric. "Make the flow of the wind rotate along with your boom, increasing sharpness and piercing."

Then he moved.

The back foot touched the ground. The hip turned. The spear spun with it.

The air in front of the tip began to spin, forming a clear, silent spiral.

In an instant, the lunge was launched.

BAM.

The spear went through the stake as if it were clay. Splinter of wood exploded sideways, and the wind blew out in a small wave.

Not only that, a beam of air kept flying towards the trees that were behind piercing one by one and only ended when the seventh was pierced.

Myth widened his eyes.

The Aleric pulled the spear back, and the whirlwind disappeared as if it had never existed.

"See?" he asked.

Myth nodded quickly.

"The rotation of the boom creates a spiral. The wind douqi enters it and accelerates everything, and then compresses this wind spiral to the maximum. When the tip hits the target, it's not just the spear that arrives... it's the whole wind."

He pointed to the stake broken in half.

"This is the basis of Extreme Drilling."

The breeze blew normally again in the courtyard.

And in Myth Kiran's eyes, something new had emerged, in thinking that spear skills would be so cool.

A look from a beast hungry for learning.
