"I'm waiting, baby… I'll keep waiting."
Sunghoon's heart swelled at her words, a tight ache blooming in his chest. The thought of her choosing patience.. choosing him, even after everything.. ignited something fierce and steady inside him.
"I promise," he said softly, his hands rising to cradle her face, firm yet impossibly gentle. His thumb brushed her cheek with reverence, as if she were something sacred. "I won't keep you waiting for long. I'll win you back… and this time, I'll prove my love to you every single day."
She stood, her movement graceful, her hand reaching out to him.
"Dinner must be ready," Sonny smiled. "Let's go eat and celebrate this new Hoon era!!"
A small, genuine smile tugged at Sunghoon's lips as he took her hand and rose beside her. His chest felt lighter than it had in months.. like he could finally breathe again.
"You're right," he said, hope threading through his voice. "Let's eat… and celebrate the better version of me. The one who won't run anymore."
As they walked together, his steps felt surer, grounded by purpose. "I won't disappoint you," he murmured, glancing at her with quiet intensity. "This new Hoon era starts now. I'll show you exactly what I'm capable of."
She squeezed his hand lightly, playful warmth dancing in her eyes.
"Perfect," she said. "I'll wait for your texts… your calls… your actions… your roars, hehe… everything."
Her words settled deep in his chest.. not as pressure, but as a promise he was eager to fulfill.
"You'll have all of it," he replied without hesitation, conviction steady in his tone. "Every message. Every call. Every roar. I'll fight for us.. and I'll prove I'm worth waiting for."
As they paused, Sonny's gaze dropped.. and she noticed it.
The wedding ring still circling his finger.
The vintage watch on his wrist.. the one she had gifted him on his birthday long ago.
Her fingers brushed over them gently, lovingly, as if tracing memories that had never faded.
She sighed softly.
"Ah… my Hoon!!"
Her hand slid up to his cheek, stroking it with tenderness.
Sunghoon leaned instinctively into her touch, his eyes fluttering shut for a brief second. The way she said his name.. my Hoon.. wrapped around his heart like home.
"Yeah…" he whispered, a soft smile breaking through. "Your Hoon."
He lifted his hand, covering hers against his cheek. "All yours."
She stepped closer, her voice dropping into something raw and honest, meant only for him.
"I love you," she murmured.
"I still love you."
"I never stopped loving you."
