Hello author here again. First chapter of the three weekly updates. Tried to make this chapter entertaining. I changed his skin back but made it darker as I couldn't make him look like a corpse due to the Tokyo ghoul lore. I also didn't want to make him Asian as I thought that would be rude and racist. I began walking to the different scents I smelled before. "I wonder what I'll see when I get there."
My body felt lighter. I was practically gliding across the ground with how fast I was moving.
"I keep moving this fast and I'll reach that smell quickly but quicker would be better."
I thought for a moment while walking should I try running and decided to give it a try. I stopped walking and for some aura points decided to take the start position of a sprinter.
I stayed in that position for a few seconds and launched off the ground. I was incredibly fast turning the walls into a blur as I passsed.
"I'm this fast and I don't feel tired so I probably can keep this up for a while." The moment I spoke with confidence a large boulder appeared in my way and trip over it.
I fell face first into a small puddle of shit water. How do I know it's shit water you may ask well that's because there was an actual turd next to my head in that puddle.
I jumped up and tried to spit out what little funky water entered my mouth. It didn't work and I'm sure now my mouth smells like shit water.
"You'll pay for that fucker."
I started to try kicking the boulder out of frustration but stopped once I noticed it had writing.
The writing was very old and almost ineligible. "Beware to all men who enter this beast's domain."
I stood still in deep thought. "A beast… am I in a fantasy world?" The beast mentioned is either magical or just biologically a beast.
A magical beast would mean the world I'm now in is a world different from my original world and depending on the version could be even more dangerous for me.
A natural or mutated beast would just mean that it was unlucky or science here is powerful.
I sighed out loud. "No matter I'm sure I'll know when I see this.. beast."
I quickly began walking again but not running like before. "I won't run until I get used to this power."
I sniffed the air momentarily to decipher the scents and guess what they were while I was walking.
There were a few but I think I understand what they were.
I smell fire so that means danger or campers. "Though if they're dumb campers then the fire is danger."
The scent of iron reacting to skin oils is also there . "Someone has a weapon."
The smell of blood is there. I sniffed in a deep breath and smiled wrongly. "Blood can be so alluring?"
The smell grew stronger than it was before and the intoxicating smell of blood was the most pronounced.
It was like god had asked what my favorite meal was and then he waved it in front of me. The smell was so intoxicating and more seductive than any drug that could exist.
I started to fantasize about tasting what was alluring me but shook my head to wake up myself up.
I wiped the drool from the corner of my mouth. "It'll be dangerous to act like that whenever I see blood.. I'll have to work on that."
I started walking again but the thoughts of food, blood, hunger and thirst continued to distract me.
The smell grew thicker which meant someone or something was bleeding more.
"Is someone being murdered or am I just unlucky and running into a butcher." If it's a butcher I'll ask for a bite this smells better than anything I've tasted before.
Though before I even get too deep in thought about this I should reach it first. I spent more time walking.
It was a long time but far less than what I spent in that endless room. That place was pure hell meant to drain the sanity and pride of whoever entered.
This place was more like a vulnerable late night walk in the neighborhood creepy park. It's much more enjoyable.
I saw light at then end of the endless tunnel and got excited. "Finally I'll see what world I'm in."
I ran out of the tunnel end with a smile that quickly died. Why my smile died so quickly?
Well because what I saw confused the hell out of me. None of the things I'm saw make sense when put together.
First of all I was in a forest but not just any kind of forest but instead one you'd find in a fantasy game outside of a tutorial location.
Second we were on a mountain that overlooked a medieval looking town. You know the kind old wood buildings with cobblestone roads and lanterns everywhere.
Third I saw some guys in knight armor which isn't weird at all in this environment. What was weird is that these guys had machine guns and fucking stun batons.
The fourth and second craziest thing I saw was a huge fucking gator man? I'm not sure what he is but they are fucking big and I mean in all imaginable ways. He was also covered in scars and bleeding.
The last thing was a young girl hiding behind the giant. What confused me is that she had the Superman crest on her her chest.
You know the one that look like a huge s and meant that the overpowered krptonians are here to save you or to kick your ass for causing trouble.
The craziest thing I can see? The fact that the gator person is saving or protecting the young girl.
Next in a burst of speed one of the knight people manage to get around the giant and grab the girl.
The knight then squeezed the girl causing her to scream in pain with a nasty look on his face.
The giant formed its hands into claws and screamed. "LET HER GO DOG OF NOBLES!!!" Then charged the knight and slit his throat with its claws.
Then the smell grew stronger and dragged me into a state of hunger again. The outside world was dim compare to light of the new food lying on the ground choking.
The smell…
The smell…
I'm sure his flesh will quench my hunger…
He's already dying just a bite won't matter…
The girl fell from the knights arms and threw up everywhere upon seeing the blood. The other knights backed away seeing their friend die.
Then I lost control. I ran to body with speed that surpassed even my previous speed. I looked the young girl in the eye briefly. Then I grabbed the body and ran.
I ran a short but easily distance visible away from everyone. I stared the face at the man I was holding before I opened my mouth and bit into his throat effectively decapitating him in front of everyone's eyes.
The girl threw up more and cried intensely.
The giant looked at me warily but not afraid.
The knights looked afraid and hurled cursed at me. "Demon release our companion or face my wrath."
I ignored it all and indulged in my meal like a starving man saved and given a buffet. The taste is like the food you remember having once but can never have again.
