Laurel's fingers clenched around the sheets of her bed. "Get out."
Alexander nodded his head in disappointment before turning in anger and walking out the door. The sound of the door slamming closed made shivers run down her spine.
She let out a deep breath she hadn't realized she had been holding, her heart pounded in her ears. It was only now that she was feeling her body's reaction as the adrenaline rushing through began to fade.
She dragged her hand down her face, fatigue creeping up her face. She sighed in exasperation before climbing down to grab a cup of water… However, her feet collided with a metal that shouldn't be there.
"Ahh..damn it." She cried, trying to muffle her voice.
Her eyes snapped back to the culprit, and a genuine look of confusion marred her face. The culprit was none other than a white robot about 5 metres tall. On its face was attached a note "Turn me on."
