The Green moon still hung in the sky, like it didn't care what happened.
The pressure went away as fast as it came.
Strength left my knees as I fell to the ground.
"Cold....."
"Pranav!" Junpei exclaimed as he rushed over, helping me stand up.
"Pranav, you are gonna be fine dude." he turned to Makoto "But...what was that?"
"Pranav" Makoto started "Rest for now, you will Need-....."
Everything was a blur past this point, it was dark, and bright again. it all happened so quickly.
Six faces
Six heads
Six-
"AAH!"
I woke up from a bed, unfamiliar ceiling, unfamiliar room.
Just like my first day in this country.
I touched my face, it felt like I bathed in it....
The door suddenly swung open and out came a red-haired woman.
A man with white hair (That isn't common....) came. Makoto and Yukari were also there.
"How do you feel? Nausea, Headache? Can you remember what happened last night?"
Three questions from each of them.
"I-I Feel fine.... but what was that last night?"
The air was thick with tension.
Makoto spoke up
"You have a lot to catch up on.."
A few hours later
In a large living room. I sat while nestling a cup of tea, had a... refined fragrance to it. not the normal ones you'd find out at shops.
No one said anything for the past few minutes, but freshing up with a new pair of clothes did put the mind at ease.
The red-haired woman—Mitsuru, I'd learned—stood near the window, arms crossed. The white-haired man leaned against the wall, watching me with a kind of casual alertness that made my skin itch.
Makoto sat across from me.
Yukari hovered near the door, like she was still deciding whether she wanted to stay.
Junpei broke first. "So. Uh. Welcome to… whatever this is."
"Yeah... so, anyone care to explain-"
"You've got potential..." Mitsuru said, her sharp eyes still on me.
"Potential for what?"
"Going too fast Mitsuru-" The white-haired man interjected but a glare from her silenced him.
"Pranav, how did you feel last night when that shadow attacked you?"
"Was that what it was? A shadow? And to answer that question, I shat myself"
Junpei snorted before he could stop himself. Yukari shot him a look.
Mitsuru, however, didn't even blink.
"That is not what I asked," she said calmly.
I shifted in my seat, fingers tightening around the cup. "Fine. I was scared. Confused. And then… angry."
"Angry?" Makoto echoed.
I nodded. "Not at the thing. At myself. For freezing up."
Mitsuru pushed off the wall slightly. "That lines up."
The people in the room turned their gazes to her, sharp. "Explain."
"When people awaken," she said, choosing her words carefully, "it's usually tied to extreme stress. Fear. Desperation. Sometimes resolve."
I frowned. "Awaken?"
Junpei waved his hands vaguely. "Think of it like… unlocking a really messed-up superpower you didn't ask for."
"That's one way to put it," Yukari muttered.
"But it is so cool..." He whispered
Makoto returned his attention to me. "What you did after that fear—after that hesitation—was unusual."
"How so?"
"You didn't lash out," he said. "You didn't panic."
I thought back to the moment. The heat. The weight. The word that left my mouth before I understood it.
"I didn't feel like I was attacking," I admitted. "It felt more like… ending something that shouldn't exist."
The room went very still.
Makoto's eyes narrowed—not suspicious, but focused.
"That's dangerous thinking," the white-haired man said quietly.
"Why?" I shot back. "It was trying to kill me."
"Yes," he agreed. "But that distinction matters more than you think-"
Mitsuru raised a hand, cutting the exchange short. "Enough."
She took a step closer, heels clicking softly against the floor.
"To sum it up-
You were present during the Dark Hour
You weren't affected by it"
"I figured that part out. Also, "The Dark Hour"?"
Mitsuru ignored it and continued.
"You summoned a Persona without an Evoker.."
The room went silent again.
"Is that what Makoto shot himself with to summon that thing? A persona?"
"Simply, yes" Makoto added in.
Mitsuru sighed, the sound controlled, measured. "For now, you'll remain here. We need to observe."
"Observe what?"
She met my eyes. "Whether last night was an anomaly, or that particular shadow was unique somehow."
"You have officially lost me."
Junpei let out a weak laugh. "Happens to the best of us, dude."
"For now," Mitsuru continued, unbothered, "you will be moved here and will start attending school as normal."
I blinked. "Moved… here?"
"Yes," she said. "The dormitory."
I looked around the room again. The polished floor. The quiet. The way everyone here moved like they were always half-expecting something to go wrong.
"You're saying I just… live with you now?"
"As a matter of fact, Yes. everyone in this dormitory has gone through what you have experienced."
Everyone nodded
"That's… comforting," I said flatly.
Junpei scratched his head. "Hey, look at it this way—new place, new roommates. Could be worse."
Yukari shot him a look. "That is not helping."
"Though, your experience was the odd one."
Before I could say anything, she continued
"You will be given a room here and everything from your pervious dorm will be moved here, no need to worry about anything."
"A-alright..."
Makoto stood, adjusting his jacket. "We'll explain what you need to know. Not all at once."
I exhaled slowly. "Figures."
"Junpei will show you around," Mitsuru said. "Rest. Tomorrow is a school day."
"Come on, I'll take you to your room"
I waved the rest good-bye and followed Junpei.
At the second floor, the room near the stairs was opened.
"This gonna be your su-casa, and I will leave you to it"
"I'm serious bro, rest"
"Yeah, sure"
As soon as I saw the bed, I fell asleep.
