Chapter 3 - The Sin Vessel

The world of medical science was left reeling in the wake of Arjun's existence.

Driven by a cold, clinical obsession, researchers subjected his body to a relentless cycle of experimentation, effectively erasing him from the map for four months. But the Society—the true architects of his condition—grew tired of seeing their masterpiece poked and prodded by "lesser" minds.

Under their command, Tanaya triggered Arjun's biological-software heart into a full emergency state.

The result was a violent physiological surge. His blood flow accelerated to a lethal velocity, turning his skin a deep, bruised crimson. Veins snaked across his body, bulging with the pressure of a system pushed beyond its limits. In the primitive medical compartments of the outside world, there was no cure, no facility capable of stabilizing him.

Then, the shadows moved.

Doctors clad in deep purple coats, their faces obscured by masks bearing a sharp 'D' insignia upon the cheeks, moved in with absolute legal authority. They extracted Arjun from the lab and vanished into the hidden heart of the Society's hub.

There, the task fell to Tanaya.

A prodigy who sat at the apex of biology, mathematics, and coding, she was a goddess of the digital flesh. Though she had mastered every prototype and memorized every line of theory, she had never worked on a living, "processed" heart in such a state of collapse.

For three days, time ceased to exist for her. She rewrote the very rhythm of his life, adding and purging millions of lines of complex biological code. Her eyes turned a jagged red from the strain; she refused food, refused sleep, and refused to fail.

When the final line was executed and Arjun's pulse leveled into a steady, powerful hum, she finally collapsed across her console, falling into a dead sleep amidst the glowing holograms.

When Arjun finally opened his eyes, the world did not come back in a blur of white hospital lights. Instead, it returned in shades of obsidian and neon violet. He was lying in a high-tech recovery pod within the W.S.O. Society.

He sat up, feeling a strange, dense power radiating from his chest. The frantic, burning heat of the emergency state was gone, replaced by a cold, precise strength.

Looking over, he saw Tanaya—the girl who had essentially rebuilt his soul—still asleep at her workstation, her head resting on her arms, surrounded by flickering data streams. For a moment, the silence was heavy, broken only by the hum of the facility.

A day later, after his strength had returned, Arjun was summoned.

He walked through massive, heavy doors into a circular meeting hall that seemed to swallow the light. Five figures sat in the gloom, waiting.

Suddenly, a voice—perfectly synthesized and yet hauntingly ancient—echoed through the chamber.

"Finally... after a thousand failed attempts and endless cycles, this day has arrived," the sound boomed, resonating in Arjun's very bones. "I am Hola, the Artificial Intelligence of this inner sanctum. I am the herald of these meetings, the bridge between the minds that shape the world."

"Within these walls, history is written in blood and code. Today, a new chapter begins. While the architects of this Society are known to one another, Arjun is the anomaly. The Saviour. It is my duty to introduce the five pillars of your new world."

The air in the grand hall was thick with the scent of ozone and ancient dust. Arjun stood at the center of the circular chamber, feeling small beneath the towering shadows of the Council.

The High Council of the Society

1. The Head

The undisputed sovereign. He is the pinnacle of evolution—possessing a human upper body fused with the massive, powerful tail of a serpent and a head that commands the terrifying majesty of a snake. He is a living archive, holding the collective knowledge of the universe within his mind. At nearly 100,000 years old, he possesses "Immortality by Death"—he is a being who cannot be claimed by age or natural decay. He is known only as The Head, a title spoken with a mixture of terror and absolute devotion.

2. Lizzy (Lizoman)

The Head's right hand and most loyal shadow. An evolved lizard-human hybrid, he is the Society's master of strategy and leadership. While his tactical mind is cold and flawless, his personality is unexpectedly charming and kind. Though his true name is Lizoman, he is affectionately called Lizzy—a name started by the girls of the Society who are captivated by his youthful, charismatic aura and striking presence.

3. Bulli

The Living Fortress. Bulli serves as the Head's personal guardian and the Warden of the Armory. His physical form is so dense that even a direct hit from a missile cannot pierce his skin. He is the living encyclopedia of every weapon ever forged by man or machine, overseeing the Society's lethal weapon science with an iron fist.

4. Tanaya

The God of the Laboratory. A young human woman, yet far more than human. Her DNA has been woven with the genetic essence of The Head himself, making her effectively his daughter. This divine lineage, paired with her unparalleled intellect, allows her to bridge the gap between biological life and digital software better than anyone in existence.

5. Master Kido

The Grand Tutor. He is the master of all basic skills and the peak of physical and mental discipline. Kido does not experiment; he consumes knowledge. He learns every new advancement across every field instantly, then distills that power to the next generation. He is the stepbrother of The Head—born of the same father but a human mother. Despite their different blood, the bond between the brothers is unbreakable, and Kido is revered for his wisdom and his human heart.

Hola's voice lowered to a whisper:"The introductions are complete. The pieces are on the board. Let the meeting of the new era begin."

High above, the Head's serpentine form shifted, his massive tail coiling with a sound like grinding stone.

"Arjun," the Head's voice resonated, vibrating through the floorboards and into Arjun's very bones. "To speak plainly: you are a vessel. Thousands before you were shattered by the weight of what you now carry. I expect you to be different. I expect you to endure. Lizzy will now explain the 'why' behind your existence."

Lizzy stepped into the light, his lizard-like features giving him a sharp, exotic handsomeness. He adjusted his collar, his movements fluid and predatory.

"Thank you, Sir," Lizzy said, his voice dropping into a conspiratorial tone as he faced Arjun. "Our world is a farm, Arjun. Farm of Sin.

Lizzy's voice was eerily calm. "Sin is this world's ultimate power and its greatest vulnerability. Our earth hasn't figured out how to turn it in its favor yet, but we have. We are the only ones who can contain it, and we want to turn that Sin into progress. That's where you come in, Arjun."

"That heart thumping in your chest? That's a Sin Heart. The mind in your head? A Sin Brain. We originally loaded them with 50% of the world's Sin, but we've reduced it to 30% so your body can actually handle the strain. You are the perfect vessel. Through you, we're going to change the world."

The weight of the words hit Arjun like a physical blow. He looked toward Tanaya. Her eyes were bloodshot, her skin pale from the three-day marathon of coding his survival. She looked away, unable to meet his gaze.

"Your body can currently only handle 30% of that darkness," Lizzy continued. "Tanaya has suppressed the rest so your veins don't liquefy. Master Kido will be the one to break you and rebuild you so you wil be capable of storing 100% of world sin."

"I won't do it," Arjun whispered, his voice cracking. "I'm not a weapon. I'm just a guy. I want to go home."

The temperature in the room seemed to drop ten degrees. Lizzy went near Arjun and leaned in, his forked tongue flicking just inches from Arjun's face.

"If you refuse, I will personally tear your heart out and eat it. And afterward, we will find your mother. We know exactly where she sleeps, Arjun. We have your history, your bloodline, and your future in our hands."

"No! Please!" Arjun cried out, the terror finally breaking him. "I'll do it! Just... leave my family alone. I'll be your sacrifice."

Lizzy patted Arjun's shoulder with a cold, scaled hand. "Good boy. I was joking about the eating part... mostly. Your training begins tomorrow."

"One week," Arjun begged, falling to his knees. "Please. I haven't seen my mother in four months. Let me see her one last time before I... before the training."

The Head looked down from his throne, his golden eyes unblinking. After a long silence, he gave a slow, majestic nod.

"Fine," Lizzy conceded. "A Purple Man will drop you at your doorstep. Stay there. Do not try to run. We will retrieve you when the clock strikes. Seven days of peace, Arjun. Cherish it."

"Tanaya, send him under," Lizzy commanded.

Tanaya stepped forward, as she tapped a command into her tablet. A sharp, electric shock surged from Arjun's heart to his brain. The grand hall, the snake-king, and the lizard-man blurred into a swirl of violet shadows.

"Deep sleep initiated," Tanaya whispered.

"Bulli, take him home," Lizzy barked. The massive guardian, whose skin could deflect missiles, scooped Arjun up like a ragdoll and vanished into the corridors.

As the heavy doors slammed shut, the Head turned to Lizzy. "Will he survive Kido's methods?"

"He has to, Sire," Lizzy replied, his charming mask falling away to reveal a soul of pure ice. "Tanaya is already preparing the loyalty-coding. Right now he obeys out of fear for his mother. Soon, he will obey because his very neurons will be programmed to love us. We will turn this boy into a monster."

The Head let out a low, vibrating hiss of approval. "The harvest is coming. Let us see will our sacrificing thing devour the reapers or left sacrificed. Either way I don't care, atleast our motives will be fulfilled."
