A full year had flown by in a chaotic, beautiful sequence.
Our twin boys had grown into healthy, thriving toddlers, but they were absolute, miniature menaces as well. We named them Raegen and Rhaevan. Raegen came out first, holding onto his brother's leg. Raegen was the calmer twin, and Rhaevan was the wild one.
They kept both Ezra and me perpetually on our toes, making us exhausted from dawn to dusk. They had inherited mostly Ezra's stubbornness and excessive energy, to the point where we had both finally resorted to creating tiny mini jails so we could take even a five minute breath without them destroying everywhere.
At night, they adamantly refused to sleep, and they had a frustratingly adorable habit of biting a lot with their still-yet-to-develop-teeth. It certainly wasn't easy at all, and some days tested our limits, but we did our best, learning how to be parents one chaotic hour at a time.
